When I was a kid, nothing was scarier than The Boogeyman.
Then I grew up, And I learned about...John Wick.
Yessir
John Wick has turned into "Fast and Furious" franchise...played out.
Well john wasn't exactly the boogeyman no he was the one you sent to kill the fuken boogeyman man 😎
@@markg.7865 it really didn’t though
Baba Yaga
It seems like this movie has really captured the essence of what it’s like to be a little kid being terrified of what could be lurking in the darkness, and I’m digging it!
👍👍👍👍. It’s absolutely terrifying and chilling
Being a alone in the dark is scary as heck.
I would have never, ever looked under the bed, though. Never.
@Repent and believe in Jesus Christ that has nothing to do with this comment
Who sleeps with a globe in their hand?
That's a fire hazard right there.
She could drop that on the ground
An fire.
Boogieman packs up an leave.
Credits roll.
The fact that a little kid being terrified of what could be lurking in the darkness makes it very hard to be alone without someone to comfort your fears! This movie looks very cool! I'm super excited to see this movie in every way!
Stephen King's short stories were always the scariest. I remember having his short story books when I was a kid. The scariest by far in my opinion was always, "The Boogeyman" in the book, Night Shift. I read that story aloud once when we were all at my friends house as a child. It was so scary my friend started crying uncontrollably! In 2005 they came out with "Boogeyman" 2005 film. I went to see it in the theaters just based on the title alone hoping it was Stephen Kings The Boogeyman. I was disappointed when it wasn't. I have been waiting my whole life for it to be made into a full length film, and I just learned now it is coming out this summer!!! My God, please let them do this short story justice! I been waiting my whole life for this!
I wonder if they kept the ending.
@@Awwscrewit me too because that ending in the book was scary as hell!
...but that 2005 Version of The Boogeyman was scary as heck! One of the best out there in my opinion.
Robert Smith From the looks of it, they will. Movie makers know that King can be pretty picky about how they adapt his stories.
@@rob.-_-. can you spoil the ending ?
“Monsters are real, they live inside us and sometimes they win.” -Stephen King.
Humans beings are the scariest monsters.
@@chasehedges6775 I agree, humans are the scariest in the world. Monsters actually run when they see a human.
Stephen King has become worse than his creations!
SK = The Boogeyman. His books, content, and movies have helped develop human monsters.
@Charly Bucket I wouldn't agree. I love his work but he's deluded these days. People should know that imagination and reality are separate.
Finally, a John Wick origin movie.
No he's the guy you send to kill the F...... boogeyman
Thank you, just send John Wick and avoid any more casualties
@@iamBlackGambit I came here to reply exactly same but then I saw your reply
Lol Baba Yaga: The Origin of John Wick
I'm hoping to see John Wick's cameo here.
this movie is relatable to how scaring it was being a kid all alone in the dark and seeing things and when you report no one believes you
Stephen King's stories are absolutely timeless. This looks good.
I’m seeing how more and more of Stephen kings short stories are being adapted and personally i dig it
I think I have read Graveyard Shift over a dozen times. They are all good, but that one just gives me the creeps.
।
Night shift?
@Repent and believe in Jesus Christ that has nothing to do with any of the comments you comment of with that fam
Yeah. Im still waiting for "The Raft"
I read that short story 40 years ago and I STILL think about it. Terrifying stuff. Tricky one to turn into a movie as it's pretty short, but interested in the effort.
Agreed. I remember reading this story in high school in the 90s, and when I got to the end, I actually felt dread in the pit of my stomach! I just hope the movie can measure up. That two part IT remake really wasted its R rating.
Where could I find this story?
@Mike Honcho it's part of one his anthologies. Either Night Shift or Skeleton Crew, it's been a while so I can't remember which one.
Didn't they already make movies with Kristen Stewart
@@Blyegh Night Shift. There's also a short film "Dollar Baby" adaptation from 1982 that's here on CZcams if you search, "Stephen King Boogeyman".
As an adult in my 30s, I would never understand why would anyone not believe their kid being scared of something. I have felt the same way when I was a kid.
I have faith in this movie. The new horrors are actually getting better each time
Even better that it’s Stephen King. Not a new story but a new take on one of his short stories. Super excited
I am glad there is still Stephen King movies coming out.
And it is always fun to see them
Eh, there are many more horror novelists who need to be recognized. A lot of King's stories got overly religious. It got tiring to read.
@@DA-js7xz like who

Imo we need some modern Dean Koontz adaptations
This is gonna be one of the most relatable horror movies ever seen. Also love that Sophie Thatcher from Yellowjackets and Book of Boba Fett is in it
I have been waiting so long for this :
czcams.com/video/6fXLDnreAak/video.html
And Vivien Lyra Blair from Obi-Wan.
And David Dastmalchian (Polka Dot Man from The Suicide Squad)
I don't think so, most modern horror films ain't that good.
@@CSS-Tails_Forever u can allways hope buddy
One the best camera works and clever jump scare scenes ! New horror era.
Sophie Thatcher is a huge talent.. she was amazing in Prospect and Yellowjackets.. she was also in a short film Blink recently that had a Boogeyman vibe to it
I remember the old boogeyman movies from 20 or so years ago and it still gives me chills
Oh yeah I remember that one. That Boogeyman took the the dad at the beginning.
@Retired snow bunny hunter x dude I remember watching that scene as a kid and it never left me to this day
@@mightybmx2900 same it’s crazy this trailer brought back unwanted memories of that scene 😂
This ain't no remake of the boogie man
That movie was pg13😂
“…Don't blame it on the sunshine
Don't blame it on the moonlight
Don't blame it on the good times
Blame it on the boogey…” ❤
This was my favorite Stephen King short story. I recently re-read it, and it’s really dated but still sends shivers up my spine. Here’s hoping this movie does the same for a new generation of horror fans
0:50 that scene give me chills
Seeing the teaser while watching football and immediately going on yt to see the full trailer. Really excited to see it
Lol same here
Same
Yo me too
Lol exactly
Saaame
Oh man, the lighting in this looks incredible. The rolling orb light and fridge light shots were genius
Just saw Scream VI and, naturally, there were all horror trailers before the movie and this is the only one that made me cover my eyes because it absolutely brought back that feeling of being a child and the fear of things possibly lurking in the dark. I was watching through my fingers until she rolled the orb under the bed and I was like “NOPE!!!” And covered my eyes again. This is the only trailer i saw in theaters that I came back to CZcams to find because it stood out.
The Boogeyman won’t let us sleep peacefully through the night. We need more trailers like this. They only show what’s necessary and nothing more.
This gave me flashbacks of the bogeyman from 2005 I think with Emily . What a great actress and I loved that movie
This looks so good! It has the bit of childhood nostalgia of having the fear of monsters. I can't wait to see it!
Childhood Nostalgia of having a fear of monsters? Having a monster under my bed is one of my irrational fears...I don't let my feet get near the space between the bed and the floor when it's dark in my room. I've had this conversation with a child before.
Kid: There's no such thing as monsters! There's nothing under your bed expect the ground!
Me: Prove it...what if they're only seen when they want to be seen?
Kid: Like in Monsters Inc?
Me: Yeah, sure...only under the bed instead.
Kid: Then it's a good monster.
Me: What if it's not?
Kid: ...
Me: ...
Kid: You're weird.
The short story was amazing the movie will probably be really good
For me, it was a fear of the dark. Even as an adult, when I'm by myself in a room with no streetlights, I put on a night light.😱
I still have fear of monsters. The feeling creeps up my spine from time to time
@Repent and believe in Jesus Christ 😂🤣
This movie looks really good and the cast is 10/10
Kinda wished it was a serial killer who went after kids thoe that would’ve been predictable but disturbing
As long as it's better than the first Attempt hollywood made for the Boogeyman movie.
Who likes comments like these? Did we all watch the same trailer? This film looks like a Hollywood cheesecake, but what do I know
Ive been watching movies for 3 decades, I can never tell a good movie from bad, by watching a trailer. Must be good slick?
@@fynkozari9271 If you don’t get a sense for a movie by watching the trailer, what leads you to watch them? I mean sheesh three decades of a system you don’t learn from can’t be right
Never seen a boogeyman when i was a kid, but this movie captures the same feel, vibes & fear back when i was a kid.
“It’s the thing that comes for your kids when you’re not paying attention”
Well parents rarely ever pay attention in horror movies so this boogeyman is gonna have an easy time.
In this social climate where iphones and tvs raise kids more than the actual parents, the boogeyman would thrive, lol
Under the bed and the dark open closet brings back the scariest moments of my childhood. Lol.
👍👍👍Same
on my birthday!! feels like a gift, gotta watch this one!!
Just the trailer alone, you can tell King wrote it. This isn't some goofy looking "scary" movie. It looks truly terrifying. Can't wait!!!! Love anything from the master of horror.
Reason for that is because whenever Stephen King went to bed, all his dreams were about Horror scenes! True story, got to meet him in Miami 2020. Thus he kept a journal of it all those memories.
Stephen King and producers of Stranger Things. Sounds promising.
I (mistakenly) read this short story when I was 12 years old. It messed with me sooooo badly! The trailer looks VERY different from the story, but I am really excited to see it and how it has (hopefully) been elevated to a full screen adaptation.
It looks like what we get with the short story since we see Lester and more after. As if Stephen king continued the boogeyman. I like the way they are doing that.
yea..think it will have little to do with the short story other than the concept.
when you jumpscare in the trailer you know its gonne be a good movie
Great family friendly film for the whole family! Especially the kids!
Just saw the game and looked this up. They just posted this. Crazy
You know it’s gonna be good if it’s from the great Stephen King.
Well, At least it wasn't done by the director that made the 2016 Ghostbusters reboot.... Would've probably caused a riot.
John is a man of focus...commitment...sheer will."
The 2005 version was by far the scariest version made thus far imo. But I'll give this one a shot and see how it holds out.
I'm happy to see Rob Savage getting more work.
Perfect trailer, not showing too much. That's a serious problem with movies nowadays; this looks great.
For real kinda hard for IT to be intimidating when gamestop is full of penny wise action figures and the trailers show full shots of him
"I'm the boogeyman and i'm coming to getcha"
~ The Boogeyman of course
This preview makes my hair stand on end. It gives me cold chills.
Wow I just saw while watching the Eagles v 49ers

Yep! Lol 😂
Here right after I saw the commercial during the 49ers vs Eagles came, can’t wait for this!

The sound of this movie is INSANE. Can't wait to watch it and get terrified.
Dude, I was sitting in the theater the other day waiting for our movie to come on and just thinking to myself "I really wish a GOOD scary film were to come out. A film that knows how to be scary, that has something unnerving just out of sight/reach, something that knows how to play with our most primal fears." And then, like an answer to my prayers this trailer came on in the previews. Please be good
have u seen 'Shutter' Thai vesion?
The lighting moon lamp was cool, that little girl was cute and when the trailer doesn't show many things, it's probably gonna be a good movie indicator, looking forward to it.
stephen king never disappoints

@@rebeccasands1452 dreamcatcher had a good storyline, it was just the amount of painkillers he was on just messed his head up a little 🤣

YES! I came to the comments to say this!
Looks suspenseful, creepy, and promising. Here’s to hoping it delivers. 🤞
It's incredibly unrealistic, but the lighting and sounds are awesome, so it will make for a great one timer. 😋👍

@@em0_tion unrealistic? Eh? It's a horror movie... hardly what you watch for realism.
@@elliotjohnson9415 True, but still. Best, and not just horror, movies out there at least are careful enough not to be so blatant that you snap out of the experience and now you're thinking about an idiotic detail instead of the scene. 🤷♂😁 Maybe I used the wrong word here, while I actually meant "believable". 😉 Lie to me nicely, make me believe it. 😁✌
This is a gnarly little short story ..... I read this back in high school can't wait to watch the movie. Stephen King's earlier work really was his best work in my opinion!

This is such a great short story! So excited to see it made into a movie from the creators of Stranger Things.
They said producers of stranger things. I don’t believe the Duffer Brothers have anything to do with this project.
Scared the hell out of me when I read the short story as a kid, and I've been waiting for a film adaptation for quite a while. Definitely giving this one a go.

@@fromthehaven94 they did have another movie like this year's ago it was the dad who was the boogeyman but this one might be different
The trailer had nothing from the short story but the boogeyman and a dad. Still looks creepy though
This looks great. I am 60 and I still fear the bed monster.
What's really good about this, is that it emulates what we feared as children despite the cliché of parents not believing the children because "its just a spooky story".
Me at 3 am, contemplating if I should take a piss in the bathroom or risk an attack from the demon waiting in the hallway.
