  • RTX 4070 Super vs RX 7800 XT test in 20 games
rx 7800 xt vs rtx 4070 super
    7800 xt vs 4070 super
GAMES SETTINGS : NATIVE RESOLUSION - RT : OFF - DLSS : OF FSR : OFF
The RTX 4070 Super and RX 7800 XT are both high-end graphics cards aimed at 1440p gaming with the capability of handling 4K resolutions as well. Here's a breakdown of how they compare:
    Performance:
Raw Performance: Benchmarks suggest the RTX 4070 Super might edge out the RX 7800 XT by 5-10% in terms of frame rates, especially at 1440p.
Ray Tracing & DLSS: Nvidia has the upper hand here. The 4070 Super boasts superior hardware for ray tracing, and DLSS 3.0 offers impressive AI-powered frame rate boosts. AMD's FSR 3.0 is a competitor, but reviews suggest DLSS may have a slight edge.
    Price:
The RTX 4070 Super is expected to be priced similarly to the non-Super version, which falls around $600-$700.
The RX 7800 XT has a lower MSRP of $499.
    Other factors:
Power Consumption: Nvidia cards are generally known to be more power-hungry, and the 4070 Super might be no exception.
Features: Nvidia offers a wider range of features like better driver support and software optimizations.
Here's who might prefer which card:
RTX 4070 Super: Gamers prioritizing raw performance, especially at 1440p, and those who value ray tracing and DLSS for enhanced visuals and frame rates.
RX 7800 XT: Gamers on a tighter budget seeking excellent value for price.
Ultimately, the best choice depends on your priorities and budget. If raw performance and cutting-edge features are paramount, the 4070 Super might be worth the extra cost. However, if you're on a budget and prioritize value, the RX 7800 XT is a compelling option.

It’s definitely a good card, but the 4070 super is almost 30% better

    Hello, thx for the bench,
For itx build, 4070S, this is the way, less power less noise lvl, but for the price 7800XT is better for gaming with rasterization. For editing software, Nvidia is always better...

For gaming it’s a coin flip. But if you are doing anything productive/creative - AMD cards are as useful as integrated graphics.

@@3rdHalf1 so wrong tho pretending to not know that AMD can now use CUDA too thanks to AMD ROCm and the community already released apps that work with pretty much every professional piece of software that hasn't yet added official implementation

Of course 4070S, little bit more Performance in raster, better upscaling, much better power consumption and 20% and more better RT Performance.

RTX4070S(less power draw, only 12gb vram, full stable drivers, great RT performance, DLSS+FG and still can using FSR, cost same as RX7900GRE in my country)
RX7900GRE(higher power draw, 16gb vram, AFMF in drivers, nice Adrenalin Software but with broken drivers every update, that's all)
After 8 months of using RX7900XT, which never come back from warranty (hotspot up to 110°C, I'll repasted it 3 times before I sent it to warranty, reseller refund my money), I just bought RTX4070S and I'm happy with it. I can just play and forget about throubleshooting.
But when rdna4 show up, I think again about AMD, it's a clear winner in Price/Performance
