Problems with vertigo can stem from a number of causes, one being the meds you take. In today’s video we’re covering how meds impact vertigo. Dizziness and vertigo as a side effect is many times the case when you’re taking different medications. In fact, some of the top prescribed medications can cause side effects related to vertigo. These meds include sleep medication, antidepressants, and muscle relaxers. If you’re taking any of these medications they could be a factor in the vertigo that you’re experiencing. In those instances we recommend looking for other tools and natural remedies for some of the issues you might be having to bypass the meds that could cause vertigo.

Epilepsy drugs as well. I've been working with my neurologist with meds. However nearly all of the meds cause dizziness. I've tried spacing my meds out. Sometimes when I this I'll have small seizures. But I'm get dizzy and off balance at least for three of four hours. Imagine dealing with this and trying to work.

You know what i think, i was reading in wikipedia what is movement, movement is called in science motion, i think you get dizzy because the movements you make daily, some movements make you dizzy, if you don`t move much maybe youll be less dizzy

I think I got my vertigo from Monoxodil which causes hair growth, but is also used as a blood pressure medication.

I have severe insomnia and was prescribed 100 mg. Of Doxepin( antidepressants) and having horrible debilitating vertigo ! I’m scared because o went 5 months w/ very little sleep and finding a med. that’s going to help me sleep is a process. But this drug has caused so many side effects 😮
I had a concussion and could not take regular sleep aids for my insomnia. I was prescribed amitriptyline and it is an antidepressant. It helped me sleep and I had no side effects.
Does clonazapam and mirtazapine causes vertigo I'm taking these antidepressants for more then four years for insomnia and panic attacks.

It gave me Tinnitus
That's so weird. I just commented about amitriptyline and how it helped me sleep while I had a concussion. It never caused me vertigo. I had vertigo before the concussion and the amitriptyline never set off an episode of vertigo.

Can a blood pressure medication like candersatan cilexetil produce vertigo ? Is there anyone that has tinitus, nystagmus or muscle spasms after a while of this medication ?

my right ear has been doing weird things for awhile. it seemed to be wetter than the other one, something comes out of it. It built up behind the ear over time and I removed a chunk of something that built up, that hasn't happened again. I have fallen 5 times, one of the times I hit my head on the floor and have a concussion and broke 4 ribs, I lost consciousness. Also had the water in the ear feeling. I haven't known it had a name till yesterday. Now what?

@@Alignwc I know more now. I had my ears and hearing checked, all fine. It isn't vertigo because i don't go around in circles. now it occurs when I stop to open a door, not when I get up or walk to the door. I have veterans healthcare so I can't go just anywhere. I hope there is something they can do?

Omg yes! Was looking for more info on CZcams. Took it last 5 days for ear infection 500mg and I’m still dizzy days after. How long did you take it for? What are your symptoms?
Mine were dizziness/ vertigo, I also had the runs and frequent urination.
And did your dizziness go away?
@@noneofyourbusiness8180 I could only handle 2 days of it lmao. First day I noticed 1 dizzy spell, second day, a few more dizzy spells and then third day I didn’t take any but omg was sooo dizzy I couldn’t even go to work. Stopped and next day I was fine thankfully.
@@noneofyourbusiness8180 it stays in your system for a bit after you’re done taking it as well. That’s probably why you still feel dizzy. It also made me anxious and I had the worst stomach cramps. That’s whatever though. The dizziness was enough for me to stop it

@@Alignwc would love to learn what things I can do to prevent these situations. Also would love to learn about massage & acupressure techniques. A back of the next deep massage seemed to help get me out of a vertigo episode.
@@jaimechaifetz8517 When a back of the neck massage gets ride of an episode it tells me that your spine may be misalign. A corrective chiropractor is needed on your team to assess and determine the correction process. Let me know if you need help finding one.

Hi doc just experience my very firts vertigo when i woke up in the morning im still in bed as i open my eyes and turning my head and body in the other side here comes the room is totally turning....and it happens in my bed time also.
