I don't actually think a tournament mode is too late for something like duel links, that would imply you can never add anything new, if anything the quicker format makes the completion of an event much more likely than something like Master Duel. This will also be an incredible Boon for streamers able to run quick and easy small player pool events which is something they could struggle with before.

Criminal to put any sky striker card in the selection box
Engage at 3 for Sky Striker, while Unchained and other decks have GY triggers? Welp, time to main Droll and Skull Meister, I guess.😅
@@BGLoscar engage cant even be used with the skill so you have to pick either 2 kagari and 2 engage(sky striker skill)or 1 kagari and 3 engage(non sky striker skill)
@@mmmsheehoo You no longer need Sky Striker Mobilize - Contact skill, because we have all the cards that we need now. You can run Sky Striker w/o a skill now or you can use some skills like Link Restoration or Link Darkraze (which people uses now, check DL Meta)
I've got a full SS deck, albeit with only 2 Shizuku, but Kaina in Selection basically just killed any chance I'll invest in that deck further, at least until Kaina shows up in a regular box a long time from now, at which point, good chance the deck will get additional support anyway. I imagine the existing Skill will continue to suffice for as long as they don't put out a new skill (which also would not shock me, tbh) or nerf the existing one (which would be a shitstorm just waiting to happen). End result, this box is a skip for me.
Though, kind of a good thing for me, too. If Dogmatika really is coming in the near future, I need to build up my gem stash first, because I really do want those.
Supay and Ascator! Those are mostly played in RDA in the TCG. I guess we are getting RDA supports in the next box! The problem is that Nib exists now.

There is 0 reason to invest in the strikers card unless they decide to nerf the skill as u only need 1 kaina hayate trash in DL so 1 is fine an u only have access to 1 kagari with engaged limit 3 playing the skill let's u have more extra space while also letting u play limit 3 cards

@@miguel_7515 I meant more in the way it doesn't have a specific theme and feels really underwhelming, just like a lot of boxes during Zexal Era. I mean, come on, the Shark cards and Super Quantum support could have come out a year ago and it would have still been pretty mediocre

Sky Striker + Live Twin = Waifu Tax
The new Mini Selection Box was fairly decent with the pulls for me. At least I can say I have 3 Effect Veiler now, although I don't know if I'll try pulling from it again just for Live/Evil ⭐ Twins, Sky Striker, Nibiru, and some other weird stuff (like Jar of Avarice).
I'm practically broke now, though. Hopefully, I can grind some more Gems for the season before the next Mini Box and/or the meta doesn't change too much.
They wont give us fist of the unrivaled tenyi while champions vigilance is still limited. Fists would just power up both dark magician which is fine but it would also power up blue eyes an already good deck and plays the biggest extra deck normal monster by default (Blue eyes ultimate)hich is what fists was ysed to turbo summon out in the tcg along time ago
Another banlist, and konami has yet to bring the darklord cards back to 3.
For real, and I don’t even think they are even that good in this meta. At least remove sanctified from 2, or put sanctified and the resurrection spell to 3

Not really interested with the Shark stuff. I thought we'd get some more cooler stuff since Shark got a new skill, but it's eh for me. I'm probably pulling for the Earthbound Immortals and Super Quants, and maybe Chronomalies if I get them. The Overlay Control skill is pretty good, and works great with White Layer.
As disappointed as I am that Leaffish didn't make this minibox, being realistic of the support the deck could get right now, the hand sharks are the support the deck needs in this super destruction-effect heavy meta.

I'm interested in the "Phantasm Spiral" Archtype so I might spend some gems on that.
I do need engaged in my sky Striker Deck. And I'm not to fussed about the other Link Monsters apart from Kagari which is part of a bundle so. Yeah I think I will get the mini box but not the selection box.
I hope they make a black luster soldier extra deck and more card related

As mostly an Ancient Gear fan Konami is clearly going to give us Ancient Gear Gadget, Ballista, Fusion etc waaay past when they can be used competitively. Such BS what they've done to this archetype.
I'm not a meta player but I'd like to earn gems in ranked (no gems in Casual) without getting creamed by every copied meta deck out there.

Lol. I literally use it every game when going first. It's literally so good preventing the enemy not otk you. Have you played sky striker in dl first?
@@talkinengrish688 I play it in DL and IRL lol you go through the usual combos and end with shizuku you always have at least 1 kaina just in case shit happens so the skill that gives you a free kaina is enough lol Hayate on the other hand is a definite 1-2 of.
I don’t even use Kiana in master duel. I guess it’s good to eat one negate

Really underwhelming time to be playing duel links, been taking a break from it to play master duel instead and the new DL box really doesn't do anything to bring me back to the game, do i want to spend my gems to play nerfed sharks and nerfed sky strikers? fucking hell no.
DL is so outdated nowadays its crazy it took them 6 years to add a tournament mode, why don't they put some effort into making good events instead of repeating the same 3-4 events all year long? hey how about they finally take a page out of master duel and let you craft any card you want? that would probably make the game way way better, SPECIALLY now with rush in the game, it would be amazing if i could craft my rush cards instead of using the same gem currency to roll for them.

The box is all over the place, not giving meaningful support to old/new archetypes. And at the same time, you will be forced to get some cards in this box if new support comes later. Considering how slow they are at releasing pick-up boxes, it's just bad value for f2p players overall and discourages a lot of players from playing these archetypes.
