REVIEW: PETKIT EverSweet 3 - Smart Pet Drinking Fountain

- We got a PetKit EverSweet 3 - Smart Pet Drinking Fountain ( amzn.to/3cP3qCl ) ! Our gray cat loves the out door bamboo water fountain, so we got him a indoor pet friendly stainless steel water fountain.

It runs on USB power and has backup AAA batteries incase of a power outage. It holds over 1 liter of water so we will only need to change out the water weekly rather than daily. The build in replaceable carbon water filter ( amzn.to/3fOALiG ) lasts for 30 to 60 days to keep the water clean and fur free.
So we are also got an Anker wall USB adapter ( amzn.to/39IBEWo ) and 26800mah powerbank ( amzn.to/39N6UTX ) , so it can run off the wall with backup power.
For our use the location does not have wall power, so we will rely on the 26,800 mah power bank ( amzn.to/39N6UTX) to keep it powered for 3-4 weeks. The backup 5 AAA batteries ( amzn.to/3sUzZVb ) on the base of the unit should last abotu 4-7 days if the power goes out.
We love the all stainless steel reservoir and top tray, The main unit is removeable from the power base for easy cleaning and refilling of water.
The small pump can be taken apart to be cleaned as with other componets of the smart pet fountain. We had to use bamboo or wooden chopstickets to pull the impeller out. The device can detect low water leave and low battery power to protect the pump.
Overall this 1.3 liter pet drinking fountain will last about 1 weeks worth of water and the USB power bank should last about 30 days before recharging. The unit will be cleaned and washed every week. This will save me time in the long run and looks modern like the SureFeed RFID pet feeder ( amzn.to/2R1xmCK ) . Even though our cat was more interested in the usb cable than the water fountain, we know he has been drinking it.

Really wish that top white disk was also stainless steel or ceramic. Really don't want any plastic on mine. If it wasn't for that plastic disc this would be no brainer

Hi, does it push notifications through the app to your phone when the water is low and the filter needs to changed?
I just got my EverSweet 3 and mine does NOT have a battery backup. (October 2022.) Also, the "instruction" booklet that came with mine has nothing but a diagram of the parts of the fountain and three QR codes to scan for instructions on how to set the fountain up and how to clean it. Apparently, the NEW EverSweet3 has been updated since this video was made.
Can we skip the filter and the top layer because it’s plastic and we don’t want any bio foam that can build up bacteria? Does the fountain work without these two parts?
They must have different versions. Mine doesn't require me to put in batteries and it runs with the USB. My USB doesn't unplug from the fountain.
Did your power bank shut off after a few seconds? The ones I have all have auto shutoff if the power draw is too low.

I just set mine up.. zero noise level. I also have the Catit Pixi Smart stainless steel water fountain that has a soft trickling water effect that is also a nice fountain.
I got one, and the motor is unnoticeable, but after a day or two it starts to trickle with water sounds. Is that normal for yours? I’m wondering if mine is a bit faulty as I had to twist the motor slightly since indentation for where it’s supposed to go causes the plate that goes on top to be crooked. (That was hard to describe, not sure if it makes any sense 😆)
My cat's confused by it, and isn't drinking out of it. I hope he figures it out. Anybody else have this problem ?

How did you clean the part where the pump is and water goes,do you remove the pump to clean the reservoir with soap and water and do you have to clean pump and filter with soap?
I took everything apart to clean with dish soap. Pump and all. I do it monthly.
How much does it work with the powerbank? And what capacity does the powerbank have?
I can’t get the white propeller out - even not with chopsticks.... any advice? Also my water fountain overflows but nothing is stuck, need some troubleshooting...

I've been told that the filter on this thing needs to be replaced too often and that the pump will stop when it detects that the filter needs to be changed? The filters here in my country cost more than the SRP. Is there any way to bypass this?
Yeah even on Amazon the filters are pricey. I guess i can probably just use it without a filter and just change the water and wash the unit every few days ...

Hi there, I just got mine and I've assembled it, soaked the filter and everything but when I try to switch it on, it starts for a few seconds then stops and the red filter light starts flashing. I've pressed the button for 5 seconds like it says in the manual but it still won't stop flashing. Any idea on how to fix it? Thank you xx

@@SterlingW8 so the battery just put in inside while we using the usb to start the water fountain? ( both just use tgthr)? for the voltage is 5v in wht ampere? coz there is 5v=1A, 5v=2A 5v= 0.5A for the socket
@@winnynia216 you can use both power sources together. For cleaning, the entire fountain lifts off the battery base.
Is this Bluetooth controlled?

It's battery operated. But I also use a large USB power back too.

I think its easier just using a large pet bowl with fresh water every day. It gives me MORE time to interact with my cat. :)
The eversweet 2 is better it has a wireless pump and there is no connector on the base.
