That explains why the GTA 5 cops always fall out of their vehicle violently while on fire after I explode it with a grenade or sticky bomb. I would add rocket launcher to that list but rocket launcher simply vaporizes them and their car leaving very little behind.

I think the cops in gta 4 that weren't going in were actually pretty tactical. They've seen you had an AK47 so they called SWAT and waited for them to arrive. When you get in that car one cop was running after you. It is kinda nice to actually see a tactics from cops, because whenever I play gta 5, get 2 stars and go into interior, they can literally see I have shotgun, and it's a narrow hallway, yet cops with only pistols rush after me brainlessly
The gta 4 cops also don't shoot you at one star, they just point guns at you to try to get you to stand down.
@@watersnortmoment3734 yep, and when you have a gun they try to convince you to dropping it first (though it's just a dialogue, not a change in overall behavior). Though cops in GTA 5 won't shoot you on first star either (in singleplayer), second star will appear in a matter of seconds, though in gta 4 it could even took a minute or two before cops started shooting.

I've experimented with cops in GTA vice city many times before. They cannot pathfind nor find any way to shoot you then they will stand there. 4 seconds looking at you then the other 4 seconds looking around. It repeats repeats repeats.

For GTA IV I loved going into the hospital and then going down the hallway and camping there. Cops would always file in one by one and made it so easy to pick them off.

That’s legit normal in real life. Cops have priories to take down the suspect, hence their vehicle is usually unlocked and a police is replaceable and easy to track down.
