The repair turned out very well.
For a smooth surface, you can use a hot air dryer. Heat carefully and the surface will smooth and shine again.

Like you our generation had to learn to fix things, a garage and the costs were simply not an option, we made do and mend unlike many riders today.
Labour is to expensiv to play arround with plastic. Its chaeper to replace. ( in Switzerland )
Nicely done. If the plastic is ABS - & you have another piece of ABS (an old broken part). Grind it into powder then mix in some Acetone until the ABS has become a paste, you can use this to bond your broken parts together.

I use the ABS cement for plumbing to fix my Kawasaki ABS fairing, quite a few repairs. I also use some fiberglass mesh for additional reinforcement. I will combine some of what you have share in my next repair as well.
You guys are good, each of you providing a bit more to help repair plastics. I'll look at my stuff different as I get ready to dispose of it. You know a lot of the plastic parts are expensive.
Saving money is a mere by product , the real message is that any menial job done well gives enormous satisfaction and leads to a life of fulfilment. Well done !!!!!!

Zgadza sie mechanicy woleli by ludzie nie znali tej metody ale to tylko dlatego by nie musieli po kimś poprawiać.Były już przypadki że gość przychodził z podobnym gównem z prośbą skuteczną naprawę a na pytanie kto Panu to tak spaprał pada nieśmiała odpowiedz ze sam sobie bo w intenecie był taki filmik.Prawda jest taka dobrze zrobiony spaw jest mocniejszy niż oryginał nie potrzebuje żadnych metalowych wstawek osłabiających dany materiał

Nie jest aż tak źle, przynajmniej nie użyto sody i octu 😁 a tak na poważnie to do drobnych elementów nie przenoszących obciążeń i napraw kosmetycznych ta metoda jest wystarczająca. Mam na myśli zgrzewanie i "szycie", ta cyjanoakrylowo-grafitowa "szpachla" pewnie odspoi się po kilku cyklach zmian temperatur ale może się mylę.

You can also use a good quality black shoe polish to buff up black polymer and plastic parts after this type of repair. It adds a decent shine, adds a waxy coating with a small amount of pigment and helps to further camouflage where a repair has been made. Obviously there are also many proprietary automotive polishing products to do this, but if you don't already have them and you do have boot polish....! 😊

Забавно конечно, но проще купить паяльник для бамперов за 15 долларов и не мучаться, либо купить дихлорэтан и заклеить за 2 минуты, оставить до утра, будет видна только маленькая паутина, для закрепления намазать потом ещё раз и всё.... даже шкурить потом не придется по сути

In these cases, I directly use Nural 92 with carbon powder and reinforced with a fiberglass grid inside, after cleaning the area to be glued with acetone.

I am from Missouri, USA. Why not use bare metal paper clips instead of the coated ones? Saves the effort of removing the coating. Also, pencils contain graphite, not carbon. The graphite is actually mixed with clay to get the different degrees of hardness for use in pencils. I restored the plastic radio/CD player bezel on my Ford ranger and finished it off with a couple coats of black primer to fill in the scratches and a coat of Krylon Fusion Black Satin paint. This paint is specifically made to adhere to plastics. It may not be available in all countries.

I used the same plastic type to repair a burst radiator that was no longer in production. It was polyprop carbon fibre mix. Used the similar stalling then followed on with 22gauge copper mesh heat set not the plastic. .Benn working for a year so fsr.

Во первых полипропилен так никогда не сломается. Он его просто вырезал лобзиком и щели
при заливке клея это подтверждают . Тем более это не простой полипропилен , а термостойкий.
И проволоку надо брать не скрепочную, да ещё с полимерным покрытием. Он бы ещё взял
проволоку от корта покрышек большегрузых автомобилей. Кстати это ему на заметку для
следующего видео. Маразм не должен стоять на месте. Он должен крепчать.

Instead of Paper Clips for a source of the Steel Rods - a very good alternative are the Steel Handles from a Chinese Food "take out" Box. The Steel Handles are maliable enough to form into a strait rod. Yet when cut into small pieces, should be rigid enough for this and similar profects.

btw - If You still have Gaps, as the Damage was less than even. Use "super glue" on the Gaps. But remember to sprinkle it with Baking Soda while the Glue is still Wet. Then File or Sand the excess.
