What's interesting to me, is that Katelyn Nacon played in this skit. She is perhaps best known for her role as Enid from The Walking Dead. A show, which in my very humble opinion, suffered from the same issues of which this skit is named after.

Yes. It was glorious. 'Rick and Morty' need to inadvertently stumble into 'Too Many Cooks'. It would be so much fun watching them trying to fumble their way out before they get slaughtered and turned into nothing more than end credits.
I remember waking up to some weird shit that I thought was a commercial but just ended up being some wild adult swim skit.
I wish they would do it again. "Unedited footage of a bear" was the most effective indictment of the pharmaceutical industry and overmedication of the populace I've ever seen. Truly terrifying.

5:30 I still like how they didn't have some "goofy" moment where she realises too late that her name is glowing, so for her this moment must have been even more terrifying, since she had no way of knowing how he found her

"To Be Continued" means that it will continue at the next episode. This means that the intro will happen all over again, until their lives end. 1:00-2:26 season 2: greatly expands the cast by introducing the cooks extended family, a trio of chefs, smarf, and the cooks neighbors, steve from accounting and his wife, who are in a polymarius relationship with mr and mrs cooks
2:26-3:27 season 3: a soft reboot. One half of the season is dedicated to a shared household between the cook families relatives, the police commissioner’s family, and the head detective and her fireman boyfriend. The other half is a semi serious crime show. The banter between coat and pie is the best part.
3:27-4:26 season 4: a timeskip where the cook’s eldest son has grown up to be head of national sercurity, while his subordinates run a propaganda cartoon. Characters start getting killed off one by one, and no one seems to address it.
4:26-7:19 season 5: another timeskip. The cooks teenage daughter has grown up and gone to college, where her friends are being axed off. Half way through the season, it’s revealed that the show is a show in universe, and its cast(as well as other shows being filmed on the studio) are being killed off.
7:19-8:24 season 6: its revealed that the previous seasons were a training simulation by C.O.O.K.S to combat B.R.o.t.H. The show turns into a space opera.
8:24-11:11 the movie: it’s revealed that the show was actually a collective fever dream of those suffering from a virus called introvitus. Eventually, the fever dream starts bleeding into reality. In the end, the hero’s get the afflicted to believe in a reset button, which manifest into reality as a result. Fans still debate the meaning of the ending.

This theme song still, to this day, manages to worm its way randomly into my brain from time to time whenever it deems fit. It's been years since I saw this last.
Back in 2014 I had just started my first job and had to be up every morning at 5 for work. I usually watched Malcom in the Middle, but for some reason one morning the commercial break was exceptionally long. I thought maybe some new show was airing, so i figured I’d stick it out until I had to get ready for work. The next 11 minutes of my life were transcendent. That was the first time I ever saw Too Many Cooks, and to this day I still chase the thrill of experiencing Too Many Cooks for the first time. This is pure art.
Matthew did a fantastic performance as “Coat”, but Lars Von Trier won my heart with his portrayal of “Pie”.

Matthew Kody Foster truly does an outstanding performance as Coat. His subtle, but brilliant acting seems to go wildly unappreciated. My friend showed me an episode of Too Many Cooks and I didn't even realise it was Foster as Coat. His acting is so believable and I think he deserves an award.
Actually, word on the street is that he's going to be a nominee for "Most Convincing Role in T.V. or Film" at the next award show. Mr. Foster has always been a gifted actor. He played the role of Johnny Depp's bandanna in the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie. A truly inspiring performance.

@Mark D You know, you've really got to give it to Eagle, he's really outdone himself in comparison to his previous projects. You definitely can Eagle's growth in skill as an actor with his amazing performance in Too Many Cooks. The head turning in that scene really conveys a lot of emotions of which has never been seen in his career, Too Many Cooks may be Eagle's stepping stone to greater heights!

Man. I used to hate falling asleep with the tv on after watching such heartwarming shows like Family guy and robot chicken just to wake up at 3am and this be on, like waking in a nightmare
It starts off as amusing, then gets genuinely funny, then it slowly gets more surreal, then it switches back to funny, then it becomes even MORE surreal than before and then jumps back for the best punchline after almost 10 minutes of buildup. Gorgeous.
Scariest thing is that the creators could add another character and we would never know...

The part where she's spinning and just about to turn superhero but can't quite do it is so accurate of those fever dreams and nightmares where you can just about get off the ground but the killer can still grab your ankles...
I’ve always assumed that part in the dream is the sleep paralysis being acknowledged by our bodies while we dream. And we are actually trying to run but unable because we are sleeping.
Breaking the meme, you can tell she was told to make her movements more rushed and clumsy. I doubt they gave any of the actors any idea what was going on.
It reminds me of these weird dreams I have where I can float and sort of fly around but I can never quite manage to get back on the ground and I'm kinda always stuck floating around just barely about to get back only to start floating back up just a bit to prevent it.

@@Nepafarius he symbolizes the Network Executives that make suggestions that often ruin a show. When this starts out, it's obvious that it is a family sitcom. As the "killer" starts making their presence known, the show's dynamic changes from a sitcom, to an office sitcom, to 80s crime drama, to animation, etc. Eventually, all of the genres are mixed together into total chaos, and Snarf is the only thing left from the original show, whom hits the button to cancel it all together. Too many Executives changing the show = too many cooks will spoil the broth.
