There are a lot of videos on youtube that are really useful for learning how. It's a process. I'm looking into it myself. I would also search for tips on getting into ivy league schools in general for more infromation.

Hello! I had a question...I just got accepted to Cornell ED, and I'm naturally a more independent person so I gear more towards living in a single, but I am afraid that I won't have anyone to experience orientation week with if I don't have a roommate with me. Will that be the case? Should I just get a roommate or will I be perfectly fine meeting people if I decide to go with a single? Also would you recommend me trying to find a roommate before going of just being randomly assigned one? I plan to be in lots of clubs and organizations but I am a little worried about not initially knowing anyone. What are your thoughts?
(i dont go to cornell but most unis work the same)
most single dorms are a part of a "suite" room, so you'll be living in an area with like 5-6 other people in your suite common room so you can still make friends and meet people around you :)
typically during orientation there are small activities and groups of people that you'll be lumped together with, so even if you dont make friends then you'll still have people to hang around with. idk about finding a roommate, i think the questionnaire form is probably good enough unless you already have a friend going to cornell with you or you have a very specific need

How is being pre med at Cornell? I am currently deciding between Cornell, u chicago, duke and UCLA please which one is best choice for a kid who really care about academics and like parting
congrats you have some really great choices!!🤍 I personally am from CA and would love to go to school here so i’d love UCLA but Duke was such a welcoming and fun school with some very smart people! i have 3 Duke videos posted on my channel so definitely take a look at them. that being said, I have never met such well balanced people at cornell. everyone is so so smart and hardworking but also know how to have fun! almost everyone i know is doing great things and is so impressive! personally I love durham and westwood more than ithaca but like I said there are so many pros and cons to each school! i wish i would’ve factored in location more bc i like bigger cities and a lot to do and ithaca is pretty small.
premed will be hard at any school especially at the schools you’ve mentioned! i’m actually not premed anymore as some things in my life really changed but the stem classes at cornell are very hard but my friend at duke said the same thing so it’s just rough everywhere lol. are there any specific questions you have?
