hey Erika, since you are trying to use fewer plastics and be a bit more waste-free, I was wondering if you have any tips on how to have less waste when doing skincare? I feel like im always suck having to buy makeup removers/toner/face lotion that comes in plastic (ps love the cute little vlog Cornell seems v nice)
Natalie R. omg this is my current struggle!! when I ran out of makeup remover I switched to coconut oil to take off my makeup which has been working well!! For the others I am still using up products I have had. For toner I am using reusable cotton pads I made from an old tshirt, and before I used coconut oil I used old mini handkerchiefs to take off my makeup with liquid makeup remover instead of disposable makeup wipes! Hope this helps 😊

YAY congrats and welcome to DEA!! DEA is seriously my favorite thing about being at Cornell. I think it's a lot different than most majors as it is teeny and there is a big community feel. Go in with an open mind! DEA is so diverse as far as courses and fields of design you can go into, and you may find that you may change your mind about what type of design you want to go into (interiors, ergonomics, UX, etc). I am currently at Cornell for 2 DEA summer classes (DEA 1100 & 1110) and am applying ED for class of 2023. Fingers crossed! Maybe I'll be seeing you around.

Nicole Fung omg congrats!!!😊 I transferred to Cornell out of a community college! I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted to do but was looking into majoring in landscape architecture. A professor I had mentioned Cornell had a program, and when I looked into it I found DEA! Cornell was the only school I applied to transfer after just one year at my CC, and I got in!:) best of luck with your college decisions!

Hello! We don't actually have to declare a concentration in undergrad but right now I am thinking of focusing my courses on interiors! All aspects of design really interest me though! You should definitely apply, all the non-studio DEA courses I've taken have been very comprehensible and I'm sure it would match your "average brain level" just fine!!:) If you ever have any questions, feel free to message me on instagram!
