They have been putting out tweets saying that they have major game server degradations. They said they have a “fix scheduled” over a week ago. Yet it still hasn’t been fixed lol. It has nothing to do with your connection and all to do with cod servers.
@@DanielZH The game is unplayable on my PC as well as xbox and Im certain it's not my internet as we currently have AT&T Business Class speeds and everything well will work just fine. Call of Duty MW3 is the only title I encounter issues with when gaming online. Very poor game maintenance unfortunately, I really like the game but haven't been able to play uninterrupted in a few months now.

In reality ur not supposed to feel lag until 120 ms note you'll notice before but it doesn't deeply effect u until 120 ms when I tested the ping from my Xbox to my isp I had around 80 to sometimes 100ms then in game my ping is 20 ms so that's 120ms right there if I connect to a 40ms lobby then that's 140 ms u see the point? It's an dsl issue that hasn't been addressed
@leighclift612 I do, it is really bad on the Xbox, half way though the match it starts to become unplayable for me, I can't even play a full match before lagging so badly, this is a server issue and they have come and said they are looking at the issue but it's been at least 4 weeks with this huge lag issue

Run a speed test on PS5 if you get a 2nd line of dialogue at the bottom of the test you've got an MTU issues it'll mention fragmentation if you have such issue
Anybody else have ping 18 no packet loss , but always seem to be in the team that can barely scrape 12 kills each where as opponents get 30 plus kills each. They just point there gun in your direction and it locks on instantly. Where as you starting shooting at them b4 they even seen you but it just won't lock on with crosshairs.
I feel like the heads over at demonware or wherever the servers are located are probaly not doing anything but partying with adderall and ladies of the night doing blow and spilling beer all over the servers they could care less about the game from everything ive seen

Funny story, in MW19 there was a period of about 2-3 months where the servers in my country were making everyone rubberband all over the place. It was never acknowledged despite countless complaints through official channels and forums. I ended up taking note of all the IPs of the matches that were rubberbanding and found out it was just 1 problematic range. I contacted Vultr, they asked for timestamps and IPs etc to investigate. Week later they found out it was a "faulty pluggable". I just wonder how long it would have continued if i didn't contact them lol. These guys obviously don't monitor the servers for performance issues otherwise it wouldn't have gone unnoticed for months..
If u speed test ur Xbox or ps5 it'll tell u what ur actual latency is basically distance from ur xbox / ps to ur isp if ur lagging with 5ms ping but ur isp is across town or out of state this could cause u connection issues as well its no different than a dsl connection unfortunately
Some isps handle distances better than others bur alot don't and this causes the artificial lag u see in game because ur having to send a connection across ur whole neighborhood before u get a response alot of people won't tell u this because they either don't understand how internet works or they wanna keep u in the dark so they can keep winning

I get this all the time in ranked play. The game will say I have 8ms ping but I get this movement jitter and get joked in gunfights. 250 fibre but no way I’m getting consistent 8ms (the counter doesn’t move) ping. I’m on PS5 can anyone help?
Its better now.. i played tonight and there was no lag... fyi.. for people that say "servers are trash".. its probably some type of issue that needs to be root caused and resolved... maybe code.. maybe network.. maybe whatever.. from a support.. development.. and qa background.. its tough to resolve issues that are not able to be reproduced 100% of the time.. imo.. there is no magic button to resolve issues..
Yes, there were many cases saying servers have issues (my friends) and after checking everything in-depth we found the issue being on client end and not the servers... but it's hard for many people to know where the issue comes from exactly.
I was playing cod and warzone on my PC where I had no lag. I switched to ps5 and from time to time network based lag hit me. I switched to an internet cable instead the wifi, but the lags didnt stop there. I started to use cloudflare dns, and the main thing which stopped the lags were port forwarding.
Really didn't test m&k on PS5 ever, but I may do that in future. first I need a m&k that supports 1000Hz for PS5 (not higher) so it can be comparable to controller.

Hi, With PPPoE connections, the PPP and PPPoE header increases the frame size by 8 bytes, so 1492 is + 8 = 1500, it's fine, if you have packet fragmentation problems, you should check router settings or ask ISP for help!

If you dont have interanl issues , then it is the server and games netcoding. For example on defiant one ability of a faction was causing bandwidth bottleneck to players. That was bad netcoding. And they addressed it. Cod servers especially in europe are some of the worst

Hi, that error seems to be related to your IP, I used a few VPN services for xDefiant to connect different lobbies and it seems they banned some IPs and VPNs, in rare cases, they might have banned your ISP IPs, it's best to call them and let them know so they may fix this issue, yet it could be due to other reasons, but for me it was mainly due to IP.

Hi, first check and see what are the closet servers to you and where it is connected to (account settings and network info - location) and if there are other servers around you by using a VPN to change lobby it may get improved I haven't heard of this location but soon I'll be making a video regarding changing servers in COD with a device.
Plus activision denied to bring back the old option from cods territory matchmaking for their crap sbmm...back in ps3 era 90% of my lobbies where players from my country better experience
yes about this one these days they try to take you to matches faster + sbmm so it wouldn't strict the location, there are some ways to get around it though, I'm working on them to test and see how they work...
i play with a ps5 controller and i heard that most call of duty pros play with ps4 controllers than ps5 controllers, i dont know the reason but i would assume ps4 controllers are better and probably has better advantages

I’m almost a new player to COD, I’ve been playing Cold War lately, I’m from India… I play on a PS5 slim with good internet connection (download 560 mbps and 100 mbps upload approx. according to ps5s test connections ) and I’m at 0.7 KD ratio.. I am below average at best .. but I still get ping from 150 ms -250ms at times … and even though I’m a noob my lobbies are full of player over 500-2500 prestige .. contrary to the popular belief that COD Protects noobs … I get my ass kicked all the time .. can anyone pls help with any of my issues … thanks
Hi, as mentioned, Bandwidth isn't the same as speed, I'm not sure if it's your ISP or COD India servers, but it sounds like your ping being too high, above 120ms is too high imo.
Heres the million dollar question how far are u from ur isp distance to travel effects every other connection too not just dsl this is something people don't really pay attention to
I have 1 gb fiber literally 1 mile from my isp. The cod servers are just trash. Zero packet loss 1ms latency hardwired. Can make any excuse ya want. Their servers suck
@@user-og8kb4yk6k if u live a mile out that's still long enough to add artificial delays also something else to note if the orginal path is taken up then ur line has to take an alternative root or has to be shared with other residents this means people closer than u may suck up some of the bandwidth before u get a chance to fully utilize it and if it takes a alternative route then that could also be it reason I know is through physical testing countless years upon years and I know its possible to have good ping here but I just live too far from my isp ive tested service providers closer to my house like dsl and a hotspot it was a lot better than using a internet company across town

Going above 500 download speed can cause lag especially if your speeds are up and down all the time & not stable I downgraded from 1000 to 70 download and it fixed all my insues... Try giving your console just 5meg only and see for yourself how perfect it plays basically that top broadband package for gaming is a lie and all the extra money your spending for the fastest download speed could actually be the cause of all your gaming lag especially if you dont have a Quality of Service on your Router to manage all that speed & bandwidth
Bandwidth isn't the same as speed, as mentioned in video, the quality of network is important. + higher bandwidth on it's own doesn't affect the network quality, in their case it might have been some bottleneck with their ISP so the lower speed reduced the chances of Bufferbloat over larger packets. maybe...
@DanielZH Was referring more to an intermittent connection 1000 download speed is amazing but when it jumps from 1000 to 600 back upto 900 in split seconds you'd be better off on a stable steady 500 over an unstable 1000
@DanielZH NetDuma's built in benchmark test is brilliant it'll break your connection down and grade it I'll able to achieve Triple A+ connection on a 70 download 20 upload full fibre connection I don't ever lag ever! unless I play on P2P servers we're you suffer from other people's connections

it isn't as far as I know, I have a P2P detection on router and it never said P2P when playing COD, some other games yes but not COD. not sure if it's like that for everyone.

@DanielZH from my last 4 years playing CoD on a Triple A+ Fibre Connection using NetDuma R2 & R3 I can say that it's very rare you land on a dedicated server unless you have a geo filter router... NetDuma allow you to play 100% of the time on dedicated servers
@DanielZH the R2 would show me in real time wether I'm connected to a P2P or a dedicated server... you can play dedicated servers only if you really want to just enable filter mode and disable strict mode & drop you geofilter radius into the ocean somewhere

I didn't have issues with Frankfurt servers though!

Port forwarding really helps, you can add PS5 to DMZ to get Open NAT.

Hi! I personally use slope scale from 0.80 to 1 on PC as apex 4 feels a bit faster than analog sticks, in it's curves I left it on linear.

Yes that mainly happens in 2 cases:
1- Bufferbloat
2- Packet loss
if you don't have either, then the game server might have this problem.

If you dont have interanl issues , then it is the server and games netcoding.
For example on defiant one ability of a faction was causing bandwidth bottleneck to players.
That was bad netcoding. And they addressed it.
Cod servers especially in europe are some of the worst

I think European servers are just fine. I have no lag and 20ms ping. However, I do think the netcode in cod is unnaturally sensitive to bufferbloat.

Other than that I agree netcoding has issue. Most are cause by bad match making algorithm.

Hi Danial, I'm always delay with coding, PC or PS5 are the same, my PC uses a 2.5 Gbit LAN, I913900k and RTX 4090, the PS5 uses a 1 Gbit LAN, I've changed providers or cities often but I haven't changed. When i'm face to face i lose always!!!

Just one question: I have a cable connection and when I test on my PlayStation 5, it shows me an upload speed of 7 to 9 mbps. On my pc, on the other hand, it shows me 30 to 35 mbps. Is this normal or have I configured any settings incorrectly?
Hi, thanks, yes, PSN servers aren't that good when it comes to speed test. however you can try speedtest on web, but overall that's normal to see lower on PSN.

Hi, that error seems to be related to your IP, I used a few VPN services for xDefiant to connect different lobbies and it seems they banned some IPs and VPNs, in rare cases, they might have banned your ISP IPs, it's best to call them and let them know so they may fix this issue, yet it could be due to other reasons, but for me it was mainly due to IP.

Hi, first check and see what are the closet servers to you and where it is connected to (account settings and network info - location) and if there are other servers around you by using a VPN to change lobby it may get improved I haven't heard of this location but soon I'll be making a video regarding changing servers in COD with a device.

Yes! in most cases it's best to first check ISP if you have issues with low ping, otherwise it could be game server.

I’m almost a new player to COD, I’ve been playing Cold War lately, I’m from India… I play on a PS5 slim with good internet connection (download 560 mbps and 100 mbps upload approx. according to ps5s test connections ) and I’m at 0.7 KD ratio.. I am below average at best .. but I still get ping from 150 ms -250ms at times … and even though I’m a noob my lobbies are full of player over 500-2500 prestige .. contrary to the popular belief that COD Protects noobs … I get my ass kicked all the time .. can anyone pls help with any of my issues … thanks
Hi, as mentioned, Bandwidth isn't the same as speed, I'm not sure if it's your ISP or COD India servers, but it sounds like your ping being too high, above 120ms is too high imo.

I have 1 gb fiber literally 1 mile from my isp. The cod servers are just trash. Zero packet loss 1ms latency hardwired. Can make any excuse ya want. Their servers suck
@@user-og8kb4yk6k if u live a mile out that's still long enough to add artificial delays also something else to note if the orginal path is taken up then ur line has to take an alternative root or has to be shared with other residents this means people closer than u may suck up some of the bandwidth before u get a chance to fully utilize it and if it takes a alternative route then that could also be it reason I know is through physical testing countless years upon years and I know its possible to have good ping here but I just live too far from my isp ive tested service providers closer to my house like dsl and a hotspot it was a lot better than using a internet company across town

Going above 500 download speed can cause lag especially if your speeds are up and down all the time & not stable I downgraded from 1000 to 70 download and it fixed all my insues... Try giving your console just 5meg only and see for yourself how perfect it plays basically that top broadband package for gaming is a lie and all the extra money your spending for the fastest download speed could actually be the cause of all your gaming lag especially if you dont have a Quality of Service on your Router to manage all that speed & bandwidth

Bandwidth isn't the same as speed, as mentioned in video, the quality of network is important. + higher bandwidth on it's own doesn't affect the network quality, in their case it might have been some bottleneck with their ISP so the lower speed reduced the chances of Bufferbloat over larger packets. maybe...
@DanielZH Was referring more to an intermittent connection 1000 download speed is amazing but when it jumps from 1000 to 600 back upto 900 in split seconds you'd be better off on a stable steady 500 over an unstable 1000

@DanielZH from my last 4 years playing CoD on a Triple A+ Fibre Connection using NetDuma R2 & R3 I can say that it's very rare you land on a dedicated server unless you have a geo filter router... NetDuma allow you to play 100% of the time on dedicated servers
@DanielZH the R2 would show me in real time wether I'm connected to a P2P or a dedicated server... you can play dedicated servers only if you really want to just enable filter mode and disable strict mode & drop you geofilter radius into the ocean somewhere
@DanielZH also if your playing on PlayStation it's best to turn off IPv6 in both LAN & WAN as PlayStation doesn't support native IPv6

@@DanielZH I attached a new email to my existing PSN account and it switched all the input lag to zero... I can't believe this I've had this account for over 10 years with some of the best games... Between the rocketfish HDMI cable... And me taking out my input lag I'm loving gaming now... I can't believe all I had to do was attach another email account... Come to find out if you have an email that's being used that's also being used for a gaming email over time I guess it slows down your account... Who would have ever thought...
