I am so happy listening to this. Im 33 , & I was never a Miley fan & her earlier music is Not my cup of tea, but I knew she was special, especially after I saw more of her personality & drive/hustle. You can see her knowledge in music & performance when she was a coach on The Voice and she got major respect from me. I loved her darker version on "Gimme More" by Britney Spears. It was a completely different vibe. This cover was similar to the original except with Miley Vocals, but everything about Gimme More is different...dark & gritty with a "get the fuck off me" attitude.
D B yeah I’m 34 and I only knew her popular songs for the longest. Respected her for just being herself and not caring what people think..... but her fan base is lucky she pays tribute to past legends and they are exposed to music they most likely wouldn’t have heard otherwise.

Agree. However, saying that Miley is either beautiful, hot or sexy, is not at all disrespectful. This notion needs to go away. It's positive to be beautiful. It's positive to be hot. It's positive to be sexy. And all of these are attributes as well that not all of us have or share at the same level. Appreciating it and mentioning it is in no way disrespectful. Learn to be natural instead of forcibly "polite" based on your own criteria of what is or isn't respectful.

It's good to see that people respect Miley for her talent and not just from the outside, she always tries to do a good job when she covers a song out of respect for the artist.
Honestly in my personal opinion, she’s ALWAYS had a rocker voice with some obvious country tunes mixed in and the 1970s rocker look seems to suit her best and with her pop and hip hop songs it never fully showed us what her voice can really do so I’m really glad she’s going in this direction. If you guys really want to be blown away, check out her backyard sessions from a few years back. Her best work ever along with the song she recently did maneater by H&O
