I doubt that the high effort involved would produce satisfactory results: for example, any movement of plants caused by wind would cause heavy ghosting through focus stacking. To date, I can only see 2 practical solutions for high-resolution panoramas: multi-single-shot stitching (see czcams.com/video/jT3v4PGoO20/video.html) or a technical camera with a high-resolution digital back and thus 1 left-right-stitch.
yesterday, I just grabbed myself a new system that is relatively modern to the Sigma SD1 I got over here, a Sony A7R4 system, which has the pixel shift feature as well. I really really cannot wait any longer to try this out. this is fun and majestic. and big. I love epicness, and this is mega epic.
Sorry, pal, too fast for my brain. Did you 1st combine the 4 focus bracketed photos into Helicon then combined 16 pixel-shifted/multi shot photos into Helicon then combined them altogether into Helicon?
If I had this Camera & using for Landscapes:
pixel shift +
focus stacking +
bracketing +
hdr +
Overkill, heck yeah 👏
Indeed 😇

@@michaelerikhaug4213 Doing the multi single stack with pixel shifted images would be crazy good.
brilliant, going to give it a try with my gfx100s but with an urban landscape. Thanks CL
Good luck and above all, have fun. 😎
Thanks for the motivation. Now to figure out how...
That is the fun pert

You are mad, brilliant, but utterly mad. (That was meant as a compliment)
...and thaken as such. 🙏🏻
have you compared focus stacking softwares ? seems like photoshop is doing a pretty good job according to some, curious to have your insights

The result is really underwhelming. I expected more sharpness for a 400MP Image with Focus stack.

oh my oh my, this is...
this is something!😲
I have to ask this. what if we use an axis shifting lens with focus stacking and pixel shift? let's go bigger, BIGGER!🔥
oh god, this idea just hit me as I was watching the content, let's be using all methods above, WITH hdr/exposure stacking? have some mercy, please! 😎
