- The 4th Movement from an epic! Thank you Ottorino Respighi for such great music and unbelievable crescendo! Thank you Guy Duker for the band transcription! Thank you President's Own Marine Band for the performance!

I played this as the closing piecefor my all region band. Truly incredible piece!
I took some friends to a concert of Pines of Rome. The friends only listened to popular music, never classical. After this finale, while the rest of the audience was giving the orchestra a standing O, my friends just kind of sat there stunned asking, "What the HELL just happened...?" A treasured memory...
I love the last part (Appian Way!)!.Great Roman Empire!.Victory, war, glory, debauchery, madness, divine power!...
I remember the first time I heard this piece. It was played by the USMA (West Point ) Band. I could feel the Roman legions approaching.
Playing the tuba part n college I called this the hyperventalation Song.
Fantastic performance.
Une bien belle interprétation. Bravo !
It needs an all brass band, fortunate to have been part of one that has done it.
The conductor is fun to watch. But it sounded soft compared to other performances. You’d think a military band would be most qualified to make this piece sound like gladiators on the march
Roamn legionnaires on the march rather than gladiators.
