Man, this was really helpful. I receive my first OA tomorrow, and I've been freaking out, as I haven't practiced too much LeetCode. Confident about the behavioral, nervous about the technical. Your story helped demystify a lot for me and gives me a surge of motivation to push through. Best of luck to you this summer!
You got this! Good luck
How long did it take for the recruiter to contact you after applying for the role. Is it an internship or full-time position. Did you have any referral.
@@AmanManazir your my hero, and friend
How much dsa have you completed?
@@rukmenip7028 hi sorry I never saw the notification for this comment. It took about 1-2 weeks for a recruiter to reach out and initiate the oa process. I did not get past Round 1, as I was very underprepared for the technical portion. I am actually about to take the OA again, after a 6+ month cooldown and more prepared. This time also took about 2 weeks after applying to receive OA. No referral.
my experience with amazon was pretty different:
I applied for a business intelligence internship with no hopes whatsoever (I come from an unknown Italian university with not that many supercool projects on my resume, at least I used to think in that way but I'm starting to convince myself that my projects are quite nice). Two days by and I received the invitation for my first interview. I didn't study at all 'cause I was sure I'd never get through it, also because I'm not fluent in English and my level is pretty low. I nailed the SQL part, and that's fair since I completed all the SQL questions in hackerrank, but I didn't know any excel which was part of the interview. During the excel questions, I just googled the answers and completed also that part.
Two days later I received the second round invitation. This time was a two 30-minutes interviews with two senior business intelligence analysts, again didn't study since i thought that as soon as they've head me speak English they would have closed the call. They started asking behavioral questions and critical thinking stuff and i improvised the answers for all the questions.
I'm starting with amazon next week lol
Congrats! I've partnered with BI before and it's definitely a different area that requires a close relationship with the business. You are the go-to person for business-related questions and might need to use scala/SQL to aggregate data to collect business insights. Communication is definitely the key to this type of job.
Please help, weren't they watching you google stuff?
@@golibedike7520 That one is not in person interview.
Bro you nailed it😂
@@golibedike7520 that interview was virtual. in the sense that you get a problem to solve. you solve it and then you start recording the screen and yourself explaining how you arrived to that solution
This is really well made and very detailed! Thanks so much Aman!
BRO! Been loving your content. Most of the productivity college students I come across are pre-med and as a CS student your channel is a breathe of fresh air
Thanks!
Hey bro on 13:20 he mentions "you should always code out in brute force first" what he mean by that?
@@student2k185 what he means by brute force is you should use straightforward methods of solving a problem that rely on sheer computing power and trying every possibility rather than advanced techniques to improve efficiency of solving the said problem
Thanks, man. I watched this video so many times to help with my internship interviews, and I received an offer earlier this week!
This was super helpful. Thank you so much for sharing your experience!
The amount of value in this video is the best I've had in the last 2 months on CZcams, and I've watched over 200 videos in the last 2 months
Great, you covered almost everything.
Although I'm not a CS student, I'm benefitting so much from watching this video. Getting a job in 2022 ain't easy.
Thanks dude
Dude ur videos are so good!
This video is actually wonderfully insightful. I have my First OA this week and this helped a whole lot. Thanks!!!
Glad it was helpful!
It's the best video so far for the interview process. Thanks a lot for your guidance.
Hey man, just wanted to drop by and leave a comment. I applied for the same role. Everytime I moved to the next interview stage, I came back and watched your video. You had a lot of great advice in this video, and it was really motivating the amount of work you put in. I remember each time I would finish the video, I thought my chances of actually getting an offer were a pipe dream, but I just got my offer letter today. Wanted to thank you!
Excellent! Good luck on your internship!
How long did it take for the recruiter to contact you after applying for the role. Is it an internship or full-time position. Did you have any referral.
@Laz3rs - hey man, hope the Amazon internship went well! I'm reaching out to people who have gotten internships through watching my videos - would love if you could fill out this form! forms.gle/6JqmvaJNQ92hur8E8 - thanks
CAN I CONTACT YOU?
Thanks for your tips man!
I'd like to thank you for sharing your experience, shortening the road for other people and notice them about the signs along it ❤
Awesome video! The STAR Method is super useful for interview questions
Thanks!
Very informative!
Love it man. Cheers
Hey thank you for the video! I understand the part of applying early but I am also worried that the Hackerrank questions will be brand new. For example I heard the Twitter OA this year was brand new and never have been asked anywhere and a lot of people failed since they practiced similar questions.
I did the Amazon OA last year but it was my first time doing a hackerrank OA and messed up one question. I definitely feel more confident this year and hopefully pass this time.
New sub ty for the lesson man😎👍
This video was really helpful! I’m finishing my first year in cs and I really want to get an internship next summer, i have good grades in school but i haven’t worked on any projects yet. Could you make a video on the projects that you did and overall what you think made your resume stand out for internships?
hey man, just to let you know that i've watched your video in the end of the summer because i received my OA for Amazon, and i can proudly say i got the job !! I'll be a SDE Intern in Vancouver for summer 2023.
My final interview question was a system design question too, was pretty weird but i managed to solve it !! Your advice for the behavioral portion really helped me.
Anyway just wanted to say thank you !!
Congratulations!
@@AmanManazir thank you !!
@@amir5379 hey man, im a CS major currently in college right now working towards my Bachelor's Degree. I am studying Java, I would like to apply for an internship at FAANG in the summer 2023, but I have no prior internships or projects of my own. Would be able to give me some advice on what I can do? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you so much, I got accepted to continue in the application process and this video really helped me prep big time!!!
İncredibly helpfull video bro !! Congrats
Glad it was helpful!
🔥 I’m an upcoming computer information systems student and I applied for it in hopes I get it for next summer. This gave me some extra confidence
Hey man i recently found your chanel and just want to say that i really enjoy the content you produce! From a fellow CS student :D
Thanks for watching!
Really enjoyed your story telling skills!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thnx bro for the motivation 🤘
amazing how your voice stayed at the same volume while moving your head around so much. my sm7b seems much more sensitive with the way i have it set up, even with a condenser setting.
Excellent video bro! Congratulations on the internship! I'm a first year student and this video really helped me. Gonna be applying when I'm in my penultimate/final year...
Best of luck!
Bro it's a very good vedio thanks 🤜🤛✌👏😊
Amazing insights!
Thanks for watching!
This is a great video dude. Thank you!
Glad it helped!
Hi, could you please do a video on how did you approach the problems in leetcode?
thx for the motivation bro
Got my 1st coding assessment in my inbox and I have 0 previous internship experience. This video provides some clarity thank you!
Also should I just get on leecoder? or can u recommend some place where I can revise my data structures or anything that would be helpful for those interview questions ?
Thanks for sharing and congratz. Im sure you will get a return offer after ur internship.
I hope so!
Hey, loved the content
Usually the final round is slightly harder and you have to solve it live in front of a software engineer- for me, I had an algorithms question for the first part and a systems for the final round
@@AmanManazir thanks a lot
hey bro i received the online assessment today in the morning but i haven't practice much in leet code. really stressed any suggestion how should i prepare and the other thing there is no date mention when to submit the test. Looking forward for your reply
Nice editing!

really helpful
11:04 The moment you said "This way you won't be blind sided", the lamp went off. Don't know if it was intentional or not, but it was nice symbolism
im suprised u only got like 5k subs. the quality is really good. also can you make a video on how to build ur resume?
Yep planning on making a resume video soon!
This is the best guide, hands down! My entire situation is very similar to yours, and this is really helpful!
P.s. I have an Amazon interview in 2 weeks 👊🏼
How long did it take for the recruiter to contact you after applying for the role. Is it an internship or full-time position. Did you have any referral.
Hey man can you tell me what we're the coding questions asked in the online assessment please
Congrats 😎
Hey man. I’m hoping you can see this but I’m new to this software engineering stuff basically saying I know nothing and I was just applying for any internships that I seen and I actually got a response from Amazon basically the same thing you did with the OA and stuff and I’m just wondering do you have any extra tips ? As my OA is on Monday and like I said I don’t know any code yet.
Thank you, Aman! I have a mathematics/science college degree. Technical skills important in software engineering development. Good to apply and learn gradually. If I have to be a driver, I will be open minded. Good to hear from you. I am a hearing impaired individual. Thank you for video. I will visit your next video.
Jeff😂
I am currently a software engineer at another company and I want to make it clear that even if Amazon doesn’t care about how you act outside of the coding interview, there are a lot of companies who do.
Managers realise that coding interviews are not the best indicator of your future performance and they want to see how you build and learn.
this was amazing! i did some CS homework listening to this and it motivated me to keep working lmao thanks!
Have a safe flight. hopefully one day I make it with u
Great content. Just one question here. Did you have to customize your resume for every software engineering role you applied to? Or, is it okay to apply with a same resume for 15 -20 different SWE internships?
Thats a great content, btw were you actually able to complete the blind 75 in 4 days?!
Thanks for the advice, got mine soon so this was helpful. I’m pretty nervous 😬. Was your coding interview on google docs?
Nope it was on a coderpad like website
Thanks Bro. I am desi. Just moved from India, got a 500K offer for Apple, buying a big house in California. Love it hear.
Epic 🔥
wow bro living the dream !
Big Tech is EVIL!!!!!
Damn that’s a wild amount, but honestly a low iq move. Instead of buying a “big house” u should invest as much of it as possible and live as little as possible and eventually dude u will be a million air with that kind of money. I can’t imagine how much u get taxed dude
Real ?
Nice one
Loved the video!
Just a quick question, I was looking at the amazon internship posting on LinkedIN and it said that I would need to know C++ / C / Java. But I'm pretty sure you mentioned having Python in your interview. Are we allowed to use Python? Thanks a lot!
Yes you're allowed to use python
do you think the the algorithmic part in these interviews is harder or easier that the question in a algorithms course in your school?
They’re quite different- the school questions are usually proof based, while the interview questions ask you to just write out the solution
hi can ı apply to amazon internship program although there is no amazon office in my country. I mean if ı got the internship would amazon enable me to move other country where they have an office or something like that ?
Was your interview problem on the leetcode's top amazon problems list?
Can you make a video of what type of projects one should do
hey man, i just wanted to ask what do i apply for, as im only interested in front-end web development, im also good at word excel ppt and stuff. someone help me
Hey Aman, for the coding interview part, did you write code on ide for something like google docs? If I can use ide, can I do like setting breakpoints and debug?
You write code on LiveCode, it's not an acutal IDE (essentially it's just google docs but automatically code formats and syntax highlights) and you aren't able to actually execute your code.
I just sent in my application a few days ago so now I'm worried that I may have been too late :/
I didn't really "procrastinate" though, since I ended up being rejected from other companies that I got on-site interviews for and basically had to start over...
Hey man, I just want to say that I followed your advice for my final round interview with Amazon and I got the offer! You came in clutch man, I appreciate it :)
Glad I could help!
@@AmanManazir do you have any advice you wish you knew before your internship? I was placed in Seattle btw
The video is great, but I see so many other videos related to this where the focus is how much money they make and stuff , for the job at FANG or MANG or whatever. Should money be the prime motivator for this ? I don't think so.
What programming language did you choose for the interview?
I follow the STUPID (Situation, Task, Understanding, Preparation, Interaction, Destination) method.
Love the acronym 😂
I have my OA soon and have been doing leetcode problems and watching neetcode’s videos. I’ve never been able to solve it the same way as neetcode but have been solving it using “brute force” do you recommend me grinding out as much problems as possible or understanding the optimal solutions one problem at a time?
How long did it take for the recruiter to contact you after applying for the role. Is it an internship or full-time position. Did you have any referral. May I ask which role did you apply for.
bro im a student, i'm totattly pissed of thinking what to upload in resume as i have 0 experience in any kind of internships or jobs. I've just completed my schooling and i have very few experience in coding but still i want to apply for this but the only thing is really pissing me off is the RESUME thing, please help me telling what to upload in that section.(please reply)
thanks
great tips bro, I am right now preparing for my step 1 coding test, its for a fulltime job but I am guessing ur tips still apply, quick question : which language you used for the coding test? I am struggling to optimize my solutions so it fails on some test results I have most experience in c# so that is what I was using however i saw some people just switch to javascript and that fixes this issue for them. ur thoughts?

bro this was great but I can't even afford the premium of leetcode what should I do?
Is there anything I can do to have leetcode premium for free somehow?.
I am gona start my journey in comp.engg...should I start solving questions in leetcode....?
Can u suggest me....?!
Wild. I went through an internship with AWS for a data center engineering position and was only getting paid roughly 65k/year. As I go through the journey from L2 to L3, it only gets better. i wonder what they base the pay off of.
I am a mern stack developer and i have done some hands on projects and neerly 300 problems on leetcode. Can i apply?
I have 3 year's gap after graduation! How can I prepare myself ?
Taking my amcat Friday morning for Amazon sde training opportunity. If I get through it I might end up in la with u
good luck!
Are projects important for internships, or leetcode is enough?
Did you do cp in you college? like codeforces
Interesting
Bro how do we know companies opened internship
Can you suggest me
This is a great video outlining the preparation and process for amazon! They have changed the process slightly since though, now its an OA with 2 questions and a workstyle assessment. Then a 1x45 minute interview.
Which questions did you get?!
Were you referred?
How to get it without degree & not located in US?
I wasn’t ready for how competitive this stuff is
Get to grinding leetcode then! Build your resume, do projects, research! If you want it, come for it man. Lets go!
Hello can you please tell me which language you studied
hey so i got OA .. I hav no idea on where I’ll be asked to code… it says in one that I could use java development kit… but how do I when I’m in the link?!!! help me here
Heey, how did it go?
Hey,
Can we code using python programming language?
that's what I'd recommend
brother is it possible to get a job in a FAANG company without a CS degree If I am good at DSA, Problem-solving & others??????
Probably, if you can figure out how to get the interview- maybe a bootcamp + referral?
"FAANG" is a bane on humanity, he has signed up to work for evil.
Funny how I watched this a day before my interview, did everything this guy did and I got the job as 2023 intern😂😂
Congratulations!
@@AmanManazir Thanks man, really appreciate the video🥂👊🏾
I already work for AMAZON as a manager in a delivery station. I have bachelors in MIS, and currently I’m learning Java. How hard do you think it would be to get a SDE position?
You should look in to Amazon Technical Academy. If you have a year of employment, u can test into a software dev engineer spot. If accepted u have 9 months virtual classroom PAID
Is it possible to get a FAANG US internship outside of the US ?
Not too sure, they might offer internships in other countries

Hey bro, Iam in 12th std rn, and i just received Amazon sde intern OA (Amazon paris) link....Super excited and also in shock coze i never expected any reply, but guess what they did and im happy.....🤗😭
This is very interesting, as well as very informative. I applied for Amazon back in late September and got the job on the first of October, so I can confirm that you do have to apply as early as possible, depending on where you're applying. I'm interested in coding, but I have very low experience when it comes to it, so I found this video very helpful. Keep up the good work 👍👍👍
Hi! if i want an intership for summer 2025 when do I have to start to apply?
Will 2020 passout or already graduated candidate is eligible for Amazon SDE internship. Should Amazon ask OS, Dbms in SDE interview?
I think they mainly focus on students who haven't graduated yet
nice
Hi, can you possibly post a video about your other internships too? It sounded like you got one in freshman year and another one in sophomore year. That's amazing! And I would love to know more!
Yes of course! I'll probably make a video about how I got my first internship with no experience.
