The solo is taller there it will get more oxygen than the breo.
More oxygen means a better fire!
Mike nice video from up state Ny, could you do a short video on the pressure washer size tips and foam please!
The breeo looks like the airflow from the bottom would get covered in ash and clogged, whereas the solo looks like the air flows from the outer ring around the center ash pan, lot less likely to clog the air off.
That was the funnest comparison I've ever seen! Thank you, Mike & Melissa.
Excellent advice and video Mike and Melissa I enjoy watching them all ❤😮
Good to know. Thanks, I enjoyed the presentation.
Thanks for the information. Great test!
What a great video. Looks like you had some great fun doing the comparison. Enjoyed it very much. Thanks Mike & Melissa for all you do. Have a great week
I didn't think it would be interesting, but you had me hooked! Great video and comparison!!!
The durability tests....fantastic. Made my day.
I have had a Solo Bonfire for about 3 years after seeing it on your channel. We love it and know 5 families that have bought one after seeing ours in use. Three of those 5 families use it on their decks successfully with just the ring under it. The biggest plus for us is the portability. We take it with us camping and it easily fits in the carry bag which goes into our pickup truck bed. We also purchased the lid which although doesn’t put the fire out, it contains the flame and sparks along with keeping rain out of it. Great comparison!
Absolutely 💯 portable
Very interesting Mike, thank you! My regular fire pit does give full view ( up-down and around)of the fire. Nothing to bend or wear out. Of course there’s also sparks to contend with. So for a burning view my old fire pit gets a point.
Excellent test Mike. Very fair and informative. Always enjoy yalls channel. Thank you 😊
Awesome test Mike. I believe you had a lot of fun with this especially on the last test. Thanks for sharing this info
What a straight up fun video! Well done Mike & Melissa. I will buy USA EVERY TIME!!! Your firestarter is the very best I have ever used.
This has been one of my favorite videos yet. I actually didn’t know my solo has a removable bottom…although mine is older so I’m not sure if that was a change. Thanks for all the hard work!!
Yes that’s the older one, I liked them better
Yeah, we've got the older 1.0 Yukon. The bottom doesn't come out, so there's a lot fewer pieces to mess with.
Loved the video. Fun and informative!
Great video Mike, thanks Morgan's.
Central California watching
That was FUN! Thanks, Mike!
Consumer reports watch out fun and informative at the same time. Great job as always
Mike & Melissa, I love when you guys blow stuff up! - and the review was very helpful...your Fire Starter has made making a campfire a breeze - it is an EXCELLENT PRODUCT, thank you!
That was Great. Thanks for the video.
The most entertaining of all your videos.
Love it !
I’m a long time fan and watched almost all of your videos. This is one of your best… I laughed out loud multiple times. Very entertaining, but also informative.
Great job on the testing and also just a fun video!
That was so much fun to watch! Great job Morgan's! Nice editing especially with the pyro's
You guys are the coolest! Absolutely very good test! Keep up the good work guys! Can't wait for the cabin work and progress! Love the merchandise! God bless and stay safe guys!
Fun but interesting video! Thanks!!!!
I think my main factor would be longevity. I would expect the heavier unit to last longer.
You could buy 3 solos for one Breo.
It's from China..... Who cares
@@daveklein2826 You can buy the best or worst of anything in China. It's all a matter of what you're willing to pay for.
Nsresponder, there is no best from China when it comes at the expense of American companies and American workers
@@daveklein2826 Does the phrase "Smoot-Hawley tariff" ring any bells? International trade is a good thing. North Korea follows your policy, they call it "Juche". Look up how it's working out for them.
Good morning from Pleasant Hills, PA. Thanks for sharing your fire pit challenges. Hope you have a great day. 🇺🇸
Awesome test Very good video Thank you
Fun video. Great comparison between the two.
Great video. Informative and funny.
Great video. Melissa and blowing up stuff in the same video. Two thumbs up!!!!!!!
Loved the video Mike!👍🏻
That was fun to watch. Not like pushing down trees, dumping 2A limestone or leveling hills. Keep it up!
Thank you for the demonstration, Mike. Have to admit I am biased toward the Breeo primarily for its sturdy design, the cooking options and Made in U.S.A. quality. For all the reasons you identified in testing, it was the best choice for us and we enjoy it immensely. Looks great and has held up incredibly well for 3 years now. Too many flimsy pieces in the Solo; like you mentioned, just does not sound or appear to be a quality unit that will hold up for many years. Good job.
Hi Mike, Millisa, I love your sence of humor!!!!. This video is awesome, you are having way too much fun with this one. My best to all of you, Joe Capo.
Always enjoy watching you have fun, especially with the fireworks!! YEA
What a fun video! Loved the fireworks test. Thanks for sharing this creative and fun content.
Mike and Melissa a very enjoyable and informative video it is unlike any that I have ever seen by you LOL!!! 😂 I think you both really enjoyed making this but brought up some very good points and I hope that nobody was offended by making fun of some that might have left their with the tailgate opened!! Thanks for the video of the highest quality as usual. The pups played a cameo roll but none the less very important. Hello Hunter!!! EVA where where you your father could of used your help with the blasting!!! Ed in Partlow Virginia
Pretty even demonstration for the tests. Very good job. For the cleanup, as a sub category, the Solo has the ash pan that you can empty the grate into and keep going without having to completely empty the main compartment. Also, for wood consumption, with 2" shorter firewood for the Solo, you burn 1 stick more for every 8 sticks with the Breo. Thus using less wood over time with the Solo. It's still a very hard choice to pick between these 2. I guess I wood need the Breo in my outdoor kitchen and the Solo next to my outdoor family room.
Great video. When someone wants a review or comparison between the 2, you have it covered. I personally will chose the Breo because of the cooking surface. I would love to see, when weather cools off, the heating radius from the Breo as far as personal warmth.
Awesome Mike, good test and came out in the end. All comes down to cost, folks don't always figure on the long term and that's why they keep buying the cheaper stuff. Sad that it happens that way. Thanks for the tests though and the new igniter worked well !! Stay safe and keep up the good work. Fred.
GREAT video!
Great Job
great video mike and melissa
Great side by side comparison Mike. It looked to me like the Breeo was a little bit bigger than the Solo which would make sense why the solo burned a bit quicker and had a nicer flame.
Mike you could have another side gig for Consumer Reports magazine in their wood burning products testing division. Have they rated your fire starter yet?
Make your videos are getting so much better. Keep up the good work.
Very nice comparison !!!!! Breo is built better but as far as the cooking , I love my diy tri pod , adjusts easy , hangs evenly with 3 chains and I can do burgers ,steaks and a big pot of chili !!!!! Awesome ideas for people without much yard space tho !!!!!! Loved it Mike , thanks !!!!!
That’s a nice test.👍
I think you had some fun trying to destroy the firepits. Maybe wanted to checkout explosive properties. Just a guess but it was fair. Seems like the breeo is a little thicker heavier duty. Handles the blast test nicely
He threw all the wood onto the Solo and only one piece on the Breo.
Mike's version of trying to blow up a tin can with a firecracker.... on steroids!
Very timely video. Building a house (should be done in about 6 weeks) and my wife wants a fire pit. I'm sold on the Breeo, and like the Fire Pit option they have. Also LOVE the fact it's made in the USA. I always shop for USA made products and even better that it came out on top of your review. I suspect I'll be getting a Breeo for a stone fire pit I'll be building.
Mike, thanks very much. If you ever do this again, add a third fire in a regular fire pit. Just a thought.
I was going to say the solo was definitely smoking more later on after going smokeless first. Glad to see you pointed that out.
MIKE, the final test, kinda brought back memories of your "durability test" and repair of the old Samsung washing machine!!!
Mike, loved this video.
Didn’t hear the pre blast warning siren but love the radio silence then fire in the hole. Brings back great memories of my overburden blasting days at the strip mine. This was a fun one -thanks 👍👌🇺🇸💪
Fire pit demolition derby! What a fun review! Love it Mike this was so entertaining.
We are currently having a months rain in 48 hours here in the UK, so this is the closest I can get to a good fire today. thanks M&M.
"Participation point". I really enjoy your sense of humor. As always, thanks for sharing! Please keep the videos coming. "Have a day"!!
Great video! Very entertaining and funny as well. I’m going with the Breeo for sure
Great video!
I think it comes down to price for a lot of folks, but after seeing this comparison video I think I would spend the extra money on the breo, made in the USA has a lot of weight imo! Great review M&M! Thanks for sharing! ✌🏼❤️🙏🏼
Love your durability testing. A good explosion will always tell the story.
Cool stuff Mike
As I sit in my house in Minnesota with the windows open, there is a haze and a very pronounced smell of smoke from the wildfires in Canada. So, I kind of feel like I'm there while you're testing. 😄
Gotta admit, this was one of your great videos. Had a good chuckle through the whole thing. Looks like you had a Blast (no pun) doing it. Keep up the good work.
Love this type of video! I think you should do more like this, hopefully you get a lot of views and tons of new subscribers. I know for me, if I'm curious about a large purchase I'm considering, the first thing I do is CZcams it!!! That's how I found you in 2019 when I bought my kubota 🚜 Haven't missed a video since.
Morning from Australia 🇦🇺
Great Video. what torch did you use to light the fire?
Pretty scientific actually, your opinions are spot on I think. My wife and I were thinking of getting a fire pit, so this is quite a happy accident that you did the review. Yes, I should mention that the ending was epic, lots of fun. Be blessed.
Great video Mike and Melissa! A lot of thought and efforts where appreciated! My question that could be added to your list is replacment parts. Do they both sell new fire pans, rings or any parts that would rust, dent, or ware out over time. So many products just require you to buy a whole new unit when you only need to replace i.e. a new bottom. I'd by the more expensive of anything if I can buy replacement parts as needed... thanks for the video
Maybe the most in-depth testing you’ll find. I like the breeo I’m going to order one. 🇺🇸good video
That was awesome!! Laughed my head off.
Mike going back to his roots blowing up stuff!! 😆
Really thorough test.
👍🏼👍🏼
Nice review. I was actually in the market for one of these since fall is right around the corner. Have to go with made in America 🇺🇸.
The second half of the video had me flashing back to the Super Dave Osborn show😂😂
Next level testing! ❤
Thanks for the test Mike it was good. Now my wife wants to order a Breeo.
Great review, but what was the final numerical score?
Awesome
I don’t say this in a bad way, you remind me of my papa Butch, Baden PA born and raised. Keep up the honest work, love the videos.
That was fun. Stay well, stay safe and yall HAVE A DAY
It looked like you had a lot of fun
Always a good day when you can blow something up (controlled of course - safety first).
This is one of the top and informative videos so far. Good work Mr. Morgan. Always look forward to your videos.
Take care.
Great video
Fantastic review, I’ve just put an order in for a Breeo X series with the outpost grill. I’ve actually been researching these for a bit and considering that the Solo stove is made in China was an immediate no for me. I think this was a fair and non-biased review.
I liked the smaller flame on the Breeo!
Just wondering if the Solo trays would warp and not fit as well in the long term after many heat cycles.
I'll take either one when you are done with all the testing
Thanks for the vid Mike. Where do you guys get those hand torches to light the fire starter? Thanks!!
Got the same X series as you & those ribeyes on the outpost last night were awesome! Breeo all the way.
Awesome, Awesome great video. Hard to beat made in the USA.
Great side by side comparison of the two fire pits. Just wish this had been out before I bought my Solo. 🙄
They are both good fire pits and the solo makes a nice fire, maybe down the road if you want to cook more you will end up with one of each!
That was fun!
Good side by side comparison Mike. You gave everyone a lot of options and a lot for them to think about. USA all the way. I like the remote detonator. Stay safe.
SHAMELESS PLUG!! Love it!
I BELIEVE ON THE SOLO ... The smoke ring WOULD be added after you load it with wood...It is NOT MADE to load through
I think the small holes in the Breo bottom might clog up whereas the Solo can't clog up. Especially if you were to leave it out in the rain after using it. The ashes mixed with rain would definitely fill the small holes in the Breo.
