Man that clip of Albert returning to STL gives ya chills. STL has the classiest and most respectful fans there is and that ovation is very much deserved. Albert is a sho-in 1st ballot Hall of Famer and one of the all time greats
The only time the STL home crowd has been louder was during the 2011 WS. Pujols' homecoming reunion had EVERYONE tearing up. Then came the real emotional heart tugger: The hug with Yadi. Pretty sure everyone watching was bawling
Piscotty only played on the Cardinals for 3 years... in case you are wondering why he got a standing ovation, he was traded to Oakland by the Cardinals so that he could be closer to his family in California as his mom was passing away :(
a snake is when someone leaves a perfectly good team for an even better team without notification, bryce left a bad/ok team for an average team n he was fs gonna leave Washington so no, not a snake, plz get the facts right before u go out here n sound like a 2 yr old idiot who believes anyones a snake j cuz they leave
how funny would it be if one of these epic home coming's was happening and the batter stepped into the box and the pitcher delivers a first pitch fast ball to his ribs
I meet Albert at a Starbucks in Galveston Texas waiting in line for coffee, nobody noticed him accept me and I was kind of shy about asking him for and autograph, but I did and I will always remember what I tould him at that time, I thanked Him for playing the game the right way without cheating on stroids, and said I was disappointed in Barry Bonds for cheating and stealing the HR record from the great Hank Aaron, I told him I was rooting for him to get to 600 HR"S WHICH SINCE WE TALKED ALBERT HAS DONE THAT i JUST LOVED THE WAY HE TALKED TO ME LIKE A PURE GENTLEMAN s
I remember when Dat Dude (Brandon Phillips) came back to Cincinnati with Atlanta and when he came back to Atlanta after he left. Standing ovation both times, that man is insane
@@josefunes6811 Verlander, Scherzer, and Price... a starting three (no team ever keeps a really-good #4 pitcher for long) as dreaded as any. It has taken decades (or so it seems) for the Tigers to achieve even mediocrity since the Tigers gave up their great pitching and their stars aged into retirement or irrelevance (sorry, Miguel Cabrera).
Frederick Glass yep i remember that too, rox and cards are my favorite teams and so this guy means a lot to me. I saw his home run last year live too it was just so special.
Harper gets booed because he's an immature asshole and a diva. Guy got the biggest contract ever, then Trout stood him up and said "Hold my beer, little man..."
Michael Brantley, Jim Thome, Asdrubal Cabrera, Kenny Lofton, Carlos Santana, and Omar Vizquel all got amazing welcomes on their respective returns to Cleveland... and you haven't included a single one of them... The lone Indian you included was Swisher as an Indian returning to NY... tsk tsk. Cleveland fans, across all sports, are probably the most die hard and loyal to their teams, and especially to the players that the city has loved... so what gives mang?
That one was kinda backwards. The Cardinals fans in Denver cheered for Matt Holliday, so it wasn't really him returning home but the fans away from home cheering for him at his new home. And when the Cardinals come to Coors field, the crowd is pretty much half red half purple. It's unreal how many cards fans live in Colorado. But I've seen that with other teams in other places at times too.
Holliday was cheered for so loudly in his return to Coors field because his comeuppance was as a Rockie in the late 90s to early/mid-2000s. Jumped around a bit with a few clubs after they didn't reup him, then STL landed him for a contract in 2009. Won a ring with the Cardiac Cards in 2011, then in 2013, hit a HR in his FINAL at-bat as a redbird after finding out STL would not exercise his extension option. Went back to the team that molded him into the player he eventually became, and hit a dinger in the COL/STL series. I believe he retired in Yankee pinstripes. I guarantee you if Holliday was still with COL to this day, every time he'd come to bat, be it in STL or at Coors, he'd get a standing O for what he did for those 2 teams. Longstanding loyalty as a Rockie, member of a miraculous World Championship team with the Cards. He even got his own wing of Cardinals Glennon hospital in STL named in his honor for how much he gave back to the city. Started and grew up a Rockie, got a ring with St. Louis, went back home to Colorado, then walked into the setting sun a Yankee.

Should have shown albert Pujols homerun curtain call. That was crazy
How often do you see a curtain call from the opposing team
Alex Trapp I actually meant to put that in there but I forgot! That was one amazing moment
Albert pujols is like the best cardinals player almost they love him
I was at that game and it was the best baseball moment I have ever seen in person, and I've been to a world series win.
Cooper Cracraft that’s awesome. i bet the stadium was so loud.
I was at the Pujols game and it was ridiculously loud. I’ll never forget that
I was at the game when he hit the home run
I was at the last game of the series
The reaction after the Homer was crazy. I couldn't hear anything over the roar
Ay I was at the last of the series
Conor Sheehan does anybody feel like we should have kept him
Man, the cards angels clip, with pujols and Molina, 2 of the greats to ever play. Good stuff!
Both were there for the chip!
William LIu for 2!
Molina one of the greatest to ever play no
Lucas S facts
Lucas S Molina is one of the greatest catchers ever in the mlb. Your stupid if you think he isn’t one of the greatest.
I was at the old Yankee Stadium in 2004 when David Wells was pitching for the San Diego Padres. He got a standing ovation. Fans never forget.
Love the fact that stl fans show that much love and respect for former players. As a brewers fan, I got nothing but love for stl fans
Stl has the best fans in baseball.
I’m a blue jays fan and I agree with you
I think Pirates are a good second
TRUE INDEED.😊
Nothing better than Albert coming back to stl
Best moment of summer 2019 aside from the Blues finally winning the Cup
Verlander will always be my number 1 Tigers pitcher where ever he goes.
ZethCryoseer not Sherzer?
I was at the Piscotty game
Piscotty only played on the Cardinals for 3 years... in case you are wondering why he got a standing ovation, he was traded to Oakland by the Cardinals so that he could be closer to his family in California as his mom was passing away :(
the crowd cheers for everyone except bryce harper :P

Wainwright, Molina, and pujols 👍
I was at that game
Yadi and Albert 😢
For real! 2 of the best.
Thank You KP, for everything. Forever our Superman. Our most emotion trade since letting Doc go.
Albert Pujols coming back to St. Louis is the best homecoming in my book.
I’m a Padres fan and the Yadi Pujols hug had me cutting onions, Alberts lip quivering after Jesus.
Kevin Pillar is probably the greatest outfielder I've seen in my life. Dude made the craziest plays ever
Being a Cardinals fan, watching that Pujols clip gave me goosebumps and chills
Cardinals fans are the best fans no doubt
how funny would it be if one of these epic home coming's was happening and the batter stepped into the box and the pitcher delivers a first pitch fast ball to his ribs
What’s funny about that?🤬
Aw man, ur a fool for this one😂🤣🤣🤣🤣….I needed that laugh
verlander just looking back at his career is so cool, you just see him reflecting
Seeing Pujols hit a home run in Busch stadium again was awesome

Imagine Verlander and Scherzer on the same team in 2019...
When they were in Detroit they had a loaded staff they also had porcelo if my count is correct and anibal Sanchez
Jose Funes | not to mention all cy young contenders
Now they face each other in the World Series😂

I wish the Cubs made a tribute video for Arrieta, when he started at Wrigley... Regardless, it was an awesome moment
Love how there were a whole 12 people cheering for Schoop at the Orioles game.
Yasiel Puig for the Dodgers. Missed that one.
If the Indians came to San Diego...boy that would be a loud cheer for Reyes
Miss you Franimal
Danny Perry The Franimal!!
This vid is amazing. When I said Jake arrieta and verlander I was amazed
I was at the Verlander game...😥😭 we miss you JV
St. Louis has the most classiest and respectful fans out there.
Matt Holiday made me cry
His last at bat as a Cardinal had the entirety of STL sobbing in gratefulness
Frederick Glass yep i remember that too, rox and cards are my favorite teams and so this guy means a lot to me. I saw his home run last year live too it was just so special.
Why didn’t u show pujols home run
Verlander one got me 😞
The ones with the clips made it more personal and done me in great video
I went to the first LAA@STL game and I loved it
Me too, one of the best games I’ve ever been too
The Orioles just ship out young talent with impeccable execution.
I was at the Cardinals game when Pujols came home. It was louder than the 2011 World Series.
The amount of respect given to these players in unreal
Albert coming back to St Louis will live on in history. The fans really let him know what he meant to them
I was at all the cardinals games
Michael Brantley at the ASG in Cleveland this year was pretty badass
Loved it I like it better with music though I like I’m coming home
When JV goes into Cooperstown the old English D will be on his cap
It's great how a lot of these games are interleage
Video for Pillar is amazing
Cardinals fans are the best fans
Yeah they are
I’m a Phillies fan and I agree
Nope blue jays fans
Royals fans
Lore822 -_- 😂😂blue jays? 😂😂
Verlander, the greatest Tiger pitcher ever.
Nothings better than toronto fans
Bummer that you didn't include LoDuca returning to Dodger Stadium after his trade to Florida. It was pretty incredible to see.
Ur not gonna show Pujols’ hr
Now if only Wainwright was also pitching on that Pujols game...
To everyone who boos Harper. Ask them this, would you switch teams for 100s of millions of dollars?

waiting on Adam Jones return to Baltimore
