    👉 Mountain Biome Guide: • Valheim Mountain Guide...
    👉 Best Bow Location: • Valheim Tips: Best Bow...
    in this Valheim gameplay guide for solo combat players I will show you how to find the 4th boss location in Valheim and also how to summon the forth boss using dragon eggs. You need 3 dragon eggs to summon the 4th boss. To obtain dragon eggs you must go to the Mountain biome in Valheim. You will need wolf armor or frost resistance mead to stop taking frost damage. Use 3 drag eggs to summon Moder the dragon boss. Moder has a resistance to frost damage and a weakness to fire damage, however I reccomnd using poison arrows to do the maximum damage to Moder. I will give you my Valheim tips and tricks for beating the 4th boss in the game and the best weapons and armor to use and how to craft them. You can summon Moder repeatedly to farm her for experience if you wish. Once Moder is defeated she will drop a trophy that gives you the tailwind buff while sailing, Moder will also drop dragon tears which can be used to craft the artisan table which gives you access to the best armor in Valheim.
    Valheim is a new RPG survival game set in a huge open world that can be played solo or co-op by 1-10 players and optional PVP mode with action combat. The open world is procedurally generated and inspired by viking culture. Valhiem was developed by Iron Gate AB and published by Coffee Stain Publishing. I hope you enjoy this Valheim Let's Play!

    Easy workaround for carrying metals/dragon eggs etc:
    Firstly, make two worlds. One will be your Game World, the other your Supply World. In the Game World, you play the game. In your Supply World, just set up a house, workbench, forge and tons of storage.
    For an example of how this exploit works, imagine I am exploring a mountain biome, and come across a dragon egg. I pick it up and I'm encumbered. No problem. Log out and log into Supply World. Drop Egg in storage. Log out and log into Game World. Done. Rinse and repeat. When you need the eggs, just get to the altar, log out and get all three eggs from Supply World. Log back in to Game World and you are good to go.
    This exploit makes me feel much better than using the console. Btw you can also escape battles and reheal in supply world, fix weapons etc. Tons of uses.

    For people who are having trouble finding Moder or the vegvisir that shows Moder I have a piece of advice that was invaluable in my group's playthrough: It seems as though there are two different kinds of mountain biomes. There are tiny mountains found in the center of most islands you'll find in your world, and there are rather large mountain biomes that almost dominate entire islands. My piece of advice is that you sail until you find a mountain range that is massive compared to the other mountains biomes that are more common. Invariably I've found there are far more dragon eggs, more ruins, more frost caves, more silver nodes, more everything in the larger biomes. I know that's rather obvious since more mountain = more spawns but I'm confident that those tiny groups of mountains must be programmed to behave differently because the sheer quantity of spawns per square area occupied on the map is 100% larger in the bigger mountain biomes. There must be a threshold the game handles that dictates if a mountain biome is smaller than x, don't spawn anything there.
    Just my piece of advice! If you're looking to build, stick to a smaller mountain biome. If you're trying to find anything of use, head to a massive mountain and completely skip landing on islands that only have a couple of peaks.

Then I soloed Moder without terraforming or building a thing. I just kited the ice missiles which hit me a couple of times for only 30 damage. The frost breath hit for around 20 and with Bonemass power the physical attacks only did around 15. Beating on her with a sword is way faster than arrows. The fight was only challenging at the end when a stone golem and a drake didn't wait their turn. All told it took around 5 minutes to finish which was convenient because that was right when my power deactivated.

This was the first mountain region I briefly explored because I wanted a wolf cape (I didn’t know it required silver and I didn’t have the wishbone at the time. Found a rune that showed me the location of moder before I even finished bonemass. In one day I killed bonemass, went to moder location, found 3 eggs on her mountain and used the belt to carry them one by one. I hadn’t watched this video and somehow killed her without this method using bonemass resistance, 3xgood health meals and quite a few meads. It took a while, I nearly used all my rested buff but I was only using fully upgraded iron gear along with a level 3 wolf cape.

Once you get to Moder's spawner in your main world logout then go back to the other world and pickup all three eggs before going back to your main world. using wooden arrows is just fine, as your using hundreds of them, and this will save your loads of materials. also i used the iron sledge hammer down in the trench whenever she landed on platform. lastly, a small tip is to pick up all three dragon eggs, then log out, enter another seed, drop them in a chest, the log back into your mother seed, and move into position, then log out and pick up eggs again. when you return to your mother seed u have all 3 eggs and spawning on the altar. Also: please google valheim seed viewer if you cant find her.

    If you want to get technical, the wyvern/dragon discussion rings true. BUT. Many popular dragons in various IP's have wyverns as big baddies, but they are called dragons. Smaug for example. Or the Hungarian Horntail from Harry Potter. A dragon is a gigantic lizard that can fly (usually because it has wings!) that has a great amount of power.

    • @naervern2107
      @naervern2107 Před 3 lety +5

      @UCsnzKw4gtaP7zm1zbRVkSpA Not really.
      » Short version:
      It all depends on how you want to call them. Most people considered the standard for dragons to have 2 legs in Europe until the last century and the few people who knew the term just considered wyverns to be a way to call some dragons. Wyvern myths weren't as widespread and almost fell into oblivion, but yet you had more chance of seeing a quadrupedal design for a wyvern than for a dragon. Still, most were just depicted with 2 legs. Basically Wyverns are celtic-frankish in origin while Dragons popularised with romance-christian, and muslim influence and trade popularised the 4 legs design that was more common in Asia.
      » Long version:
      Both indeed kinda come from different myths, but it got twisted and this concept was claimed thanks to people taking stuff like Dungeons & Dragons and JRPG too serious, but to put it simply: dragons were more often depicted in Europe as having 2 legs only (and no horns even), while the 4 legs design came mostly from the Near East (which in turn comes from ancient Mesopotamia and the Far Eastern designs). The oldest "western dragon" design I know is from around the year 800 in what is today Uzbekistan or Turkmenistan.
      Originally, dragons in Europe were even depicted as small like wolves, and had often wolf heads, probably, IMHO, from those Dacian standards that the romans loved to yoink to show the triumph of a legion, and such standard was called 'Draco', meaning serpent, for how it was basically the shape of the thing, with a wolf head, carried on a stick. Those eventually got kinda adopted by some roman legions in the following centuries.
      With the advent of christianism, it probably got absorbed and twisted to fit concepts of demons. Dragons often appeared in Christian mythology as corrupting and violating people and as being emissaries of Satan.
      On the other hand, continental celtic cultures had some love for snakes (and this is preserved even in contemporary folklore in regions such as Asturias, Cantabria, with myths like the Cuélebre). It happened that celtic cultures got simply kinda supplanted by romanisation, and later, in the middle ages, by germanic and gothic cultures, like the Suebi in Northwestern Iberia and the Visigoths in the rest of the peninsula; or the Franks (germanic peoples) in the northern half of France. There's no surviving piece of art showing such, but it was described that the Suebi Kingdom had a "dragon" or "wyvern" in their flag. If it had 4 or 2 legs (or even no legs at all), nobody knows, but it was almost 3 centuries prior to the recorded first usage in Welsh symbolism, which iirc had something to do with a resistance against the saxon invasions. Being a celtic symbol, it's most likely that it would be better categorised as a wyvern. The currently known red "dragon" comes from a kinda oppressive symbolism by the Tudors on occasions to show the conquest and rule over Wales.
      This is the big issue in trying to trace the historical designs of such myths, as there's basically no surviving depiction; only texts provided by external sources, often written decades to centuries after, propagated for a long time by spoken words until finally registered on paper.
      It's even funny to think that wyverns were depicted as having 4 legs a lot more often than dragons, but the main difference is really that wyverns come from celtic influence and their likes for snake myths, but for some reason at one point in the late 1500s people started standardising the arrow-tipped tail for wyverns, and that only got ported into dragon designs later.
      Fire-breathing trait only came to Europe from the influence of Islam. I read once from an author that this trait could be a mistranslation of venomous bite, akin to "fiery mouth" implying that the bite caused a burning sensation, probably from venom, instead of actual fire. But you know what would look more interesting when told. Greek fire was a thing known to the Eastern Romans (aka "Byzantines") in the middle ages. Just as it was more interesting for some to tell of a dragon, instead of being a puppy-sized evil critter but big as the behemoth of Hebrew mythology.
      Still, it's not like people really cared for differentiating myths and stuff since, unlike pop culture tries to portray, people in the middle ages didn't really believe in anything like that coming to them in a lifetime and it can be said that they were much more concerned about mundane things than fantasy, which was left most often to poets and storytellers, that just adapted it within their artistic freedom, to fit what was popular at the time.
      The norse actually didn't even consider winged dragon myths and that idea only arrived there in fairly modern times.

    • @naervern2107
      @naervern2107 Před 3 lety +3

      I'm no expert on that, btw. Just got curious once, but I can say with confidence that it all depends on how you want to call a design. There's absolutely no standard and countless cultures merged to make modern myths and designs.

The character's inventory as well as the character itself remains the same when going to different worlds, so it is possible to use this advantage to "transport" items.

    Bonus: fighting bosses in one world, does not trigger events other worlds, so your home world will never go beyond Eykthir's event.
    This method also makes farming ridiculous, as it allows the player to just jump across worlds with ores, even above the weight limit.
