It is Socialism and the socialistic model of Mixed Economy that Nehru and the other founding fathers of India established that led to the formation of all the IITs in India.
And it was Socialism that gave the free Medical College that Mrs. Jagadamba the Medical Profession that she could study and pursue, especially being from a poor family.
So why does Mr . Krishna say that India should do away with Socialism?
And last but not least, the donation has been given in the form of Shares. Shares not cashed, as you know, may go up or go down over time. So think. Think of the three pros and cons of such an arrangement, and as to the Whys'? !

In this 1 cr, you could have arranged to fund cataract surgery for say 500 poor people and tribals and they can see the world and bless you. Imagine 500 ppl each month. You could have had agreement with lions club, agarwals eye , sankara nethralaya etc etc and they can do wonders.
