    Love a e36 m3. I've had 3 in the past. Wish I never sold my last one 😪. Evo vert. Techno violet with dove leather. Absolutely mint 👌 🙈🙈

    Don't forget to change the mismatched tires. One is an older directional Michelin A/S Sport. Some fresh Michelin PS5s will make it drive galaxies better. Greetings from Atlanta, GA. E38, E60 535i/6speed with minor bolt-ons and a cammed N/A 380WHP E46 M3 owner here.

    Awesome video - love some good E36 M3 content that isn’t from the US (ie with the proper S50 engine).
    Had my M3 Evo for 10 years and was off the road for a few years whilst I was settling down and starting a family. Thankfully managed to sort it out last year before it got too bad and got it through an MOT free from advisories, but took quite a bit to get it there, mainly welding to the underside. Still needs a fair bit more to get her mint but it won’t be neglected anymore!

    Just found your channel, very well done and all salutes to what you are doing.
    The E36 jack points are often in a bad way but some of the welding needed on this car will be interesting to see.
    Watch the rust and dust when working as the old eyes tend to be the first port of call for bits and pieces and you should keep eyes covered, and watch working on your own when handling heavy components!
    Great work and looking forward to next episode!

    Brilliant Ed. I’ve had 31 or 32 E36’s now and was well known around here for them.
    I do miss them now, don’t seem to be around that much anymore
    Preferred the 3.0 against the 3.2 as well

      @rezaq1 Před 2 lety +1

      @@proxcess4946 felt the engine had more torque at lower rpm, and definitely pulled stronger at high rpm
      The 3.0 also makes it’s 286ps or more, the evo is always shy of 321 due to its unreliable twin vanos system.
      I didn’t even like the 6 speed box in the EVO’s

    Looking forward to this restoration. Sounds exciting.
    I have to say though, why the previous owner just left it in the open weather to rot like that ?
    It's that dank, salty air over there in the UK that eats cars. YUK.
    The very least he could've done was throw a tarp or car cover over it right ? Very cheap, very simple and it can preserve it MUCH better, even if you don't plan to use it. What a shame.

    • @BriC175
      @BriC175 Před 2 lety

      No way. A tarp or car cover is much more likely to hold moisture and ruin the paint in a short space of time, plus it wouldn’t do anything to prevent rust on the underside like this car has. Best way to prevent rust is a heated & ventilated garage.
      You’re right about the UK weather killing cars though. My E36 had gone in the same area on the right hand side (though not as bad as this) and rear jacking point/sills. I’d be very surprised if the rest of the shell on this E36 is good - need to go poking around all the jacking points!
