  • Day Two at MOVE 2024 has kicked off in the keynote theatre. With an impressive first panel discussing the autonomous vehicle industry of today’s transport system, industry-leaders from Nvidia, Baidu, Volvo Autonomous Solutions and Oxa gathered together to contribute to this topic.

      Because @18:20 the host said they did not invite passenger car OEMs (intentionally).
      They did not invite Ford (BlueCruise) or GM (SuperCruise) either.

    Tesla is not even close to self-driving cars. Only Wyamo have “true” fully autonomous self-driving cars. Everyone else’s are driver assist.

      I heard that Waymo uses remote operators to oversee the cars, taking over in emergencies. Or was that Cruise?

      @@loungelizard836 Good question. I don’t know for sure. Regardless, Waymo is light years ahead of Tesla with respect to “true” self-driving cars/taxis. If you look at a photo of a Waymo car, it has censors all over. Any car manufacturer that wants to produce self-driving vehicles will have to redesign their cars to accommodate all censors necessary for all weather conditions.
