I would like to pay tribute to another gentleman who deserves recognition for the many hours which he devoted to band and orchestra students, including Clare Fischer who went on to be a prominent figure in arranging. Glenn B. Litton, a tall person from Montana started at South High School in 1928; he took the job in the music dept when jobs were scarce; he remained there as a caring mentor for all of his adult career.
