Dorian Satoshi Nakamoto, a 64-year-old retired engineer, is denying that he was the creator of Bitcoin. The reporter who identified him sits down with CNN.
this woman should not be allowed to report - no substantial evidence provided and this man being tortured for the foreseeable future (all because she wants a career boost).
This lady deserves everything thats coming her way. The man called the cops on you and you still stayed, hounding with questions. You publish photos of his house and license plate. What if this guy isn't Satoshi.... ever think of that?
Excerpt from Leah's research notes. - Satoshi Nakamoto and Dorian Nakamoto have the same last name AND they both know about technical computer nerd stuff. What are the odds!!! - AND I could not find any other Nakamoto's in the phone book.
I applaud newsweek for sticking to its guns on this one. There is the right thing to do and then sometimes there is the truth, which, in telling it, may not gel with doing the right thing. Just because you chose truth over the right thing to do doesn't mean that you are wrong in doing the wrong thing. If that makes sense.
"Why might it not be hem?" wtf ? so if you have 'no reason' somebody might not be someone immediately equals him being the guy ? there might also be no evidence that i could not be batman does that now mean i am batman?
Newsweak quote "...Moreover, it encourages all to be respectful of the privacy and rights of the individuals involved." ok so you didn't publish his numberplate and personal details?
She's an investigative journalist, this is her job. Even if this guy is not the real inventor of bitcoin, I think it's still an uncanny find - a guy with all of the requisite background and skillsets that would be required to invent bitcoin who happens to be named Satoshi Nakamoto. At least she should get credit for that. JMO
No you confuse investigation journalism with conjecture. Proper investigative journalism involves investigation e.g Verification of the facts of the case, just because you get a name match and a possible tenuous link is not "Investigative Journalism" it is simply "Conjecture". If she had done her Job, then this story would never have gotten to air. Don't confuse one with the other.
