In this video, I am going to talk to you about IBS natural treatments and the IBS diet. IBS stands for Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I have worked with thousands of patients and helped lay out natural treatments to help people overcome this condition, and I know you can overcome it, too.
    4 Steps to Treat IBS:
    1) What foods to stay away from if you have IBS:
    • Gluten - This inflammatory protein in grain can cause IBS. I suggest at the start of treatment to stay away from ALL grain products (especially wheat). After about 3-9 months, you can start adding in some sprouted or sourdough grains.
    • Casein or conventional dairy products - Kefir or fermented dairy can be helpful, but regular dairy can be very destructive for IBS.
    • Hydrogenated Oils
    • Raw foods - salads and raw foods can damage the gut if you have IBS, so it’s best to eat only cooked foods.
    • Cold foods - Ice water, Ice cream and cold foods are hard on the digestive system
    • Processed or refined/packaged foods
    2) Top healing foods for IBS (consume foods that nourish the colon and spleen)
    • White immune-boosting foods
⁃ Cauliflower, Garlic and Onions - Cooked onions and garlic can kill off bad bacteria in the gut.
    • Squashes
⁃ Butternut, Acorn and Spaghetti Squashes are nourishing to the spleen and colon
    • Bone Broth- #1 superfood to consume to heal IBS
⁃ Bone Broth soup contains amino acid to help repair and heal the intestinal lining.
⁃ A perfect meal would be a crockpot with organic meat, bones/broth, and vegetables such as squash and celery.
    3) Quality Supplements
    • Live Probiotic Supplements
    • L-Glutamin - amino acid that protects and nourishes the gut lining
    • Frankincense Essential Oil - reduces inflammation
    • Digestive Enzymes - take at meal to help break down food so it is easier to digest
    4) Focus on reducing stress
    • Schedule 3 things daily
    ⁃ Long walk in nature
⁃ Read a spiritual growth book, meditate or pray
⁃ Wind down with a detox bath at night
⁃ 1 cup epsom salt and 20 drops oil (Lavendar) and soak away

That's bc stress causes the body to turn off digestion, bc it thinks you are running or fighting something for survival, no matter if it's mental or physical stress. Deep breathing, and vagus nerve simulation puts the body back in parasympathetic state which is the rest and digest state. So not eat when you are stressed and learn how to handle stress, nothing is that serious is what you have to realize, we are all gonna die and nothing really matters as far as the physical goes.

Oh my this could really cause people with IBS more symptoms. Those white foods are some of the most fermentable foods, with FODMAP sugars in them. My clients often have the most issues with onions and garlic.
Everyone should know you have unique triggers and what you can tolerate will be different from someone else. If this doesn’t work, don’t give up, you can get better ❤️

To my knowledge, the only celebrity to come out about having IBS is Harry Connick Jr. According to him, he's suffered from it most of his life. It's especially stressful for a person such as he who appears in front of audiences on a regular basis. He recounted an occasion when in forth grade when he fouled himself and his teacher refused to help him clean up afterwards. Eventually, the vice principle helped him. After that, he had to go home early from school, right after lunch, up until he reached sixth grade. This is a typical story for children with IBS. The social stigma can be devastating and the rumor mill can be equally awful. Hats off to Harry Connick Jr "for coming clean" - no pun intended - about his IBS.

Yet when I follow the Low FODMAP diet, by stomach stays pretty calm. I was previously eating lots of raw foods and I'm still finding it difficult to cut out raw salads. I crave them. I've cut out fruit many times though. I will try again. I am so frustrated by being hungry all the time and not many food choices. I love garlic and onions, but I don't think my stomach does. Please comment to help others like me who have commented about these two foods. Also, I agree with prayer to reduce stress. Thanks.

I hope this will help me finely heal after so so many years. I have gotten so bad I ran a 101 fever. Thank you for all the work you put into this so we can now know what to do. I hate medication. I've had IBS for almost three years, it's genetic. Even my aunt who isn't related to me biologically has it, she has the C variety like I do but it's even more severe than mine. There was a period when I could still have relatively good bowel movements after taking MetaMucil and eating bananas or apples, but now I cannot say I ever have a truly good bowel movement. For me it's mostly bloating, fullness, reflux and constipation, but there are also times when I get 'constipated diarrhea.' The worst is when I get really dark stools along with excruciating cramps. IBS has a huge hold over me, when it comes to pretty much everything. I'm so tired of it, and if there was a magic pill that could cure it altogether, I'd be willing to steal it.

I have done my research and agree with him, but what may work with one may not work with the other and I would not trust a 'diet' such as the FODMAP when they have --->Aspartame as listed as "good to eat food" but then says, "Sugar free fizzy drinks / soft drinks / soda - such as diet coke, in low quantities as aspartame and acesulfame k can be irritants" and Cold cuts / deli meat, Tortilla chips / corn chips, cheese (which is very hard to digest-IBS or not), chocolate and coffee which I know are also horrible for IBS, I wouldn't trust a diet that recommends those processed foods.

you really need support from loved ones with this one.. it's tough dealing with this on your own, you should speak to them about how much discomfort and pain this causes you and ask them to cook something on the side just for you. If they still refuse to, learn what foods you can/cant tolerate and cook them for yourself. Drinking soluble fiber has kept me more regular in my trips to the bathroom and calms my nerves because after I drink the fiber, I use the bathroom within the hour and it helps put my mind at ease that I already went and won't have to go again (psychological trick on myself). It's tough, but we will get through this! just know you're not alone.

I cured my colitis ulcerosa 8 years ago
      according to my medic .
"He didnt see any patient heal so much in the 40 years he did his job, I cant tell you ever had it in the severity you had" were his exact words
and I check out your videos yes.
but LOL my background is biochemistry and cancer research. Im checking out stuff last 24 years. . doing article research is a hobby
and I ca eat everything nowadays without problem. wiht note that I do have balance in everything. so not excluding all grains. for colitis ulcerosa the type i had according to my medic and for my type of condition according to him it would take 5 years to have really effect. and breaking this with just one cookie, one cube of (hidden) sugar one can start all over
I should avoid all grains sugars and if i would break that one time
sometimes I have a social live and I can have that without such a diet. . I reduce grains> buckwheat. but I do eat bread here and there. no problem last 8 years. backed up by endoscopy. fully cured.
so LOL I did some changes but not an anti social diet were you cant eat anything socially
and i do enjoy some foods:D
=quality of life is also to be able to eat with others the meal they cooked without them having to take notice of a very strict diet
      its cured
and also big time important is tumeric curcumin:D
