    Any and all feedback will be appreciated and taken into consideration.
    I have tools in it from Sparrows, Peterson, Dangerfield and my handcuff key is from my Peerless handcuffs.
    Locks used here- Schlage F51 V GEO 505 605, Brinks 2719-105
    I also want to thank LockPickingLawyer for showing his and inspiring me and so many others.

    Nice EDC kit. I wouldn’t take anything out, but I would add a decoder for combination locks, bc I have run into them a few times with buddies of mine forgetting their combination to theirs. Thanks for sharing & congratulations to the logo lock winner! He’s a great guy!😃👍🏼🔐

    I made a makeshift door like you have but I give you the credit cause I say I seen it from your channel! I also believe it's great practice if you can afford to get different knobs and deadbolts! Some people can't afford to waste the money and I wish I could help them all but I can't! I did give so many cases away it took a medium size box to ship them in to someone in need of them, they were the Sparrows ones that act as a pick stand too. I know you know which ones. I would put a glasses small screwdriver in your EDC cause they can open privacy door knobs like your bathroom and it's amazing the amount of people who don't know how to open these because it's so easy lol but if you got a teenager like me you would be surprised how many times she closes the door while it's locked lol

    Great job man! I think you have pretty much everything you could use in the "real" world. There's always gonna be something out there that you're not gonna have what you really need, but for the average door out there, I think you got it covered. Thanx for sharing man.

  • @robertl.grayjr.nremt-p994

    Awesome kit for an EDC! I would follow Wes's suggestion and add a small screwdriver for the bathroom door knobs....never know what else you could open with it....also you could take one of the generic credit cards you get in the mail (the ones with the cc offer, but only use a plastic one) and cut it in half lengthwise. That would fit in your case too. If you mess it up, throw it away and grab the other one. Doesn't cost you anything....

    I like your selection, including the bag! If the ‘E’ stood for ‘Essential’, I would think that a couple plastic shims tucked behind the picks is a great thought. I have a toolbox in the bed of my truck, so I don’t so
    much think in pocket sized terms. The only thing I could think might be handy would be a coffin key set like the one Sparrows sells. I find many everyday locks are quickly passed with one of these jigglers but your selection of rakes would usually do the trick. Good set!

    My EDC is the Sparrows Dark Shift set. I added the expansion set that included a mini Jim, wafer picks, zip pick and a knife. I added a few extra tension tools, a decoder I made and a set of warded picks. Personally, I would add some warded picks, a decoder and maybe a knife. I think those three things are pretty underrated tools for an EDC kit. I still run into warded locks and combination locks. The knife makes a great general purpose tool for getting broken keys out of locks or used as a probe.

    Looks like a comprehensive kit you have put together there. With the Dangerfield rakes it doesn't seem like you would need to double up with the sparrow rakes. The Octo rake is something that I would take out and replace with a decoder as it is so big I am yet to find a keyway that it even fits into over here. Nice demonstration with the mock up door you did, cheers

    I recently bought a jackknife lock pick set. It only has a bottom of the keyway tensioner, but it does have some hooks and rakes. I does not have everything you have in your kit, but it is very small.

  • @SilktheAbsent1

    While I love my Sparrows tools, I am not a huge fan of the profile of their short hook. I'd get their DIY hook set and cut one modeled after the Peterson short hook, as it gives you a little more "shelf" surface area to pick with. Even if you don't mind the smaller "shelf" of the Sparrows tip, I'd still do it, as the neck, where they narrow, is where mine tend to break. Switching to the DIY hook, and reshaping the neck so it doesn't have that angle fixed that completely.

    • @AlbertLebel
      @AlbertLebel  Před 4 lety

      Awesome ideas, I can toss in a short hook as I do like the flat top they have. Thank you for the feedback. I will also know a lot more as time goes on and I actually use it. The lock I mentioned picking was only a ML and it was simple

  • @andrewfarenci5085

    P.S. For a shim, I would get a 6" slim shim. They can be hard to find, if you can't find one, try checking out Police/Fireman supply sites. The plastic shims are nice, but I'll always have a credit/courtesy. I also have a plastic calender card, or whatever somebody is giving away, in my wallet just for this purpose. They're thin and very flexible.

    Don't underestimate the value of the half ball and/or triangle. The triangle also doubles as a dimple lock pick. If your need to lose a pick, I'd let the city rake go. But then what do I know, I'm still a noob.

    • @AlbertLebel
      @AlbertLebel  Před 4 lety

      Spot on, I forgot about the ball for wafer locks etc. Thank you

  • @JohnSmith-gs4lw
    @JohnSmith-gs4lw Před 4 lety

    Hate to break up the set, but you could leave the “best buster” snake rake at home. I just don’t know why you’d ever reach for that with all those other rakes in there. Also, I know it’s universally accepted that we all must do it, but can you think of ANY real word situation where you’d need, or even be able to use, a handcuff key? I’ll agree with others here; maybe a double ball for wafer locks, and a bypass knife. Lastly, Sparrows has a (Monstrom) pick that’s very similar to the Gem. You could move to that and you wouldn’t have that bulky plastic handle. Remember, these are everyday CARRY not everyday USE. Everything you can do to reduce size, weight, and bulk is going to pay off for the thousands of days you carry the kit and never even open it.

    • @AlbertLebel
      @AlbertLebel  Před 4 lety

      Noted, but I could NEVER eject the Peterson Gem. Its the single best pick on the market. Thanks for the feedback I agree completely about the handcuff key. I had it on my key ring so I just moved it to here.

    • @jpmcpinning4255
      @jpmcpinning4255 Před 4 lety

      A handcuff key in my opinion is never a bad thing to have on hand. Its small and light. You may never need it, but if you do you will really need it..... even if its cause some kid locked his buddy to a telephone pole..(experienced this once)...Most can be bypassed but its easier to use a key.
