These insightful songs was just his true feelings on his on life, unforentully the words were also telling how deeply troubled he was, sad nobody figyred out what he was saying only a music reporter, RIP
Same here... As I also did when Paul McCartney was performing I got a feeling and when if come to the part with John's vocals he was up on screen doing his part I got goosebumps right then too
@@tennislegendsonlineretrotennis he’s right. Peter Hook and the Light are amazing live. Sure, Hook doesn’t have the best voice but neither does Sumner. The bass of Hook was the biggest element to the sound of Joy Division. I just saw Hook and the Light a week ago, they played both Joy Division albums front to back and it all sounded amazing. New Order couldn’t ever.
Wow! I was graduated high school in 1981 and college at Iowa and we were into punk, post punk, new wave and reggae. I really didn’t know Joy Division until the Marines. Sad about Ian Curtis. However, this song and Ceremony lift my spirits.
Hard to believe that it was over 40 years ago when I first heard this song and knew a Rochdale lad Mick who had done work with a lot of the Factory bands.
hello , never been to glastonbury one of the biggest cities over in greenwich for live shows while the skater live for lollapalooza and warped tours is the brand in the side of no accent. elle for smell our pits here
This takes me back when I used to jump up and down this it was energetic song I miss them all the sex pistols the clash and the stranglers and undertones
New Order always remember about Joy Division and Ian Curtis, that's why they play Love Will Tear Us Apart at every concert 👍👍👍❤❤❤
I need to catch them live sometime soon

That photo of Ian Curtis on the screen behind is haunting. Forever young.
It always struck me that a young man could write such an insightful and mature song. The wise words always blow me away.
Salut David holmes d’etaples 😉

I love how Bernard is singing like Ian on this. So awesome ❤
Joy Division were so ahead of their time, Beautiful performance
this is one of those songs, where only the original singer can recreate the emotion of the song...... R.I.P.
I miss Ian 💔
I can tell how immensely important their music was to me in my youth. Captivating.
I wont lie, I was expecting the postcode at the end of the title
Coordinates aswell, just to be safe
This feels so poignant. I was hype at the beginning riffs then I just started crying
Me too.
Jesus. Emotion just welled up.
@@rangidalglish4743 I'm 58 from Hammersmith and same just happened to me!!🎸🎸
Best drummer ever i seen joy division in 84 and he has not lost any coordination or enthusiasm
do you mean new order? joy division ended in 1980
Stephen Morris is a genius

Steve is an Amazing drummer . NO don't need a drum machine, they have one !
Only New Order should ever be allowed to cover this (or any) Joy Division track. And this is why. Majestic!
Does this cover change your mind: czcams.com/video/TEXw4KbSczc/video.html
Peter Hook has as much to do with these songs as anybody and his band "The Light" delivers a more authentic, faithful version

Spot on. They wont be listening to the winner of pop idol in 20 years!!
That's an overused BOOMER statement though. Screw it.
I love 'em, but I'd have to admit I still miss Hooky in the lineup.
It is hard to replace one of Rock music greatest bass player imho

Outstanding. So much better than a David Hasselhof video (even though it was still a fantastic track).
it's missing Ian's voice of course, but I so wish Hooky was still there too.
Thank you
Barney is cool. But the real heroes of New Order are Stephen and Gillian. I suspect they might be among the nicest people in the world ;)
