What makes me happy is we got 3 UCS sets this year
The commander Cody helmet is wayyy batter than Rex, it’s not even close.
This year was the longest but the coolest year imo
Man I just cant get behind those Ashoka sets, show was so bad I just think all those builds are fugly. Love the smaller gunship size and that they chose to do something different.
You forgot the 12 magazine sets, the 3 Star Wars books (mandalorian scouting time, official annual 2024, galaxy mission) the 2 brickheadz sets, the SDCC pin, the Death Star coin, the venator promo and lastly, the Lego Lucas Yoda Fountain
Yeah I wasn’t about to buy all that, and I have both the ucs GWPs I just didn’t put them in the video
Australia didn’t sell the venator promo and when I got the UCS venator day 1 they said, sorry, America gets it so I would have to pay $160 AUD ($105USD) for it

I got the 3 helmets and love them all...my favorite might be Cody because the shaping of his p1 helmet with the orange accessories just makes it pop on a shelf. I have Rex and Cody on the sides of my tv, perfect for when I'm playing Lego TSS 👌

Really hoping for some big sales next year. Hoping the Venator, like the UCS Razorcrest will drop 30%. Expecting the Commander Cody Helmet to go under $50 and the Ghost dropping to $100. Hopefully Costco is gonna have these for 30%-40% off as well. I've seen it happen before, just gotta wait.
The only SW set Costco has is the T-6 shuttle, which is half price at a lot of Costcos.

the chewbacca makes me really sad it’s such an incredible model i thinks it’s absolutely perfect but i can’t get over the face it ruins the whole thing truly like i couldn’t display it if i bought it, i think it looks amazing but i don’t know how id fix that face unless i gave him the goggles from solo

In my opinion ahsoka sets are one of the best waves in history of lego
Agree i plan on getting all 3 and they all look incredible
lego should only make helmet holes on the figures that need them
like the figs that have an intended visor or any other attachment
while the other ones can just not have the holes
You had some pieces wrongly placed in the captain rex helmet, and the left side wasn't properly attached as well. Maybe fixing them could make you like the set more :)
I really like commander codys helmet better
In brief summary of my opinions of the controversies: 1) Helmet holes should only be used for RP2, not AP2, as RP2 only were depicted with attachments above the "ears," whilst AP2 has the rangefinders from the "ears." 2) Gunship makes sense when you consider the environment of Coruscant. Smaller, less collateral damage weapons, both atmospheric and exospheric use and better visibility for the pilots. I do agree on the space usage however, but imo gunships have always struggled with that. 3) Need Kamas. Plain and simple, need more cloth Kamas & Pauldrons. Hope 75372 has them, for good creativity purposes but doubt we'll see a return for LSW for whatever godforsaken LEGO business reason...

I must be weird because out of all these I only wanted the Endor speeder diorama and the coruscant gunship and ahsoka clone battle pack.
Ok hear me out, A UCS T6 would be wild
I like this year sets, the only sets I really didn't like were the Ahsoka's T-6 shuttle and the 4+ set, I got a bit disapointed with the coruscant gunship build, but I liked it, and also with the Shin Hati's starfighter and E-wing, my problem with the set is the Shin starfighter, but I LOVE the E-wing, I was going to get it if I liked Ahsoka, but well... It ended up becoming my least favorite show ever. The sets I liked the most were the ghost (which I'm still not sure if I will get) and the Venator, I got it and now is my favorite Lego set ever along side the republic dropship with AT-OT.
I would give the year an 8/10
I strongly recommend the ghost especially if you already have the venator

Ur not gonna keep the 4+ set????? U should just for the figs if nothing else but the big parts and the prints r great for moc as well but to each their own.
Edit: the price to piece ratio and actual price were both similar to The Justifier and just like u said about Yavin4, it is really big and feels like its worth the price to me. I think a lot more people would have bought it if it had a few more figs included.
Looks like they’re making a UCS tie interceptor in 2024 so no point getting the the 2023 dual version.

This is a rant about Lego's helmets. Be ready.
Lego could've avoided the helmet hole problem if they either only put it on dudes with visors or put them on the bumps. It's incorrect for the visor to be on that bump (it's supposed to be above it) but that wouldn't be a problem if they just made a new visor/antenna hybrid piece or a raised, smaller visor for dudes like Cody.
The holes don't bother me too much though, because the amount of misprints I have where Lego puts the black printed visor of to the side hurts me. Helmet holes are just a slight downgrade, misprints have messed up more than half of my older phase 2 helmets. I do not have any plain gunners that don't have any major misprints.
It takes a really bad set for this guy to say anything negative lol

The helmets r cool but i dont want to display something that someone else made and since they don't come with figs I don't buy them. Although i do build all the sets i buy, I don't display them but rather take em apart and use the parts to make fig scale ships and locations that I will display.
Man I got to say year just seems like a complete miss and really an all around negative direction to take the theme in. Lego's getting greedy and also now caters like 30-70 toys vs collectibles.
The two cheapest sets are army builders each release feels disjointed without any kind of enemy faction, making them feel more like minifigure packs for army builders/collectors, not battlepacks (not a new issue, but like, massive missed oppurtunity for maul super commando battlepack, CIS special forces BP reintroducing discontinued minifigs). Microfighters and mechs are neat little sets for kids, but it would be nice to have something canon--overall though by no means sets I like, most positive aspect of the year cause at least they partially remember Lego is also for kids and though often expensive, is best when it caters to a range of prices.
Then we have the actual playsets which should be reasonably accessible...but the smallest is an overpriced 35$ starfighter, next is 50$, and then everything else: 65$, 70$, 100$, 110$, 120$, 140$. On top of that as with all of the small sets half of these--the 2 cheapest and 3 of the most expensive--don't have any sort of opposing factions, good guys to fight bad guys. Additionally most of these playsets are based off of the most recent crop of SW 'content' which has really been a critical mixed bag--personally takes away any interest from me but to each their own.
Then half of most waves are just incredibly overpriced dioramas, overpriced helmets, UCS. I get that some people like them, not my thing personally, but A) They're pretty much all insanely overpriced (UCS is less an issue cause the intent is to make something exclusive so whatev). B) They're overpriced at a time where every single other set is expensive.
2024 sounds like it has the potential to be even worse. Yes B2's and plain clones returning is nice, Tantive hallway sounds like it could be a cool little playset if well priced, but that rumor of exclusive figures...Lego knows that investors, collectors, will flock to crap if it has cool minifigs. 10 to 1 prices will be just as bad if not worse
So robotic, had me laughing out loud. It mostly sounds like artificial intelligence (🤪? Lying would be more appropriate ...) reading our Lego's promotional texts. This is one of the worst Lego sponsored CZcams contributions of this year: 🤮💩👎🤪!
