2-CH RF Wireless RC Relay Module: DC Motor Forward/Reverse Direction Control

- This video demonstrates the simple way to control the direction of a DC motor which in this case a 12V car power window. Two relays were used to build the required circuit and in this video, a 2-channel RF wireless remote control relay module was the perfect choice to do that. The connection is so simple; everybody with or without basic electronic knowledge can build the circuit in minutes and use it right away. This video intends to give some basic idea on building a bidirectional motor control circuit and you can apply it in your own project/application.
For those who are having trouble catching up the connection for 2-direction motor control in the video, you may refer to this diagram: goo.gl/Fnsf4B. Just ignore the Arduino side as the relays themselves will be activated through button click. However, if you in case to build Arduino controlled 2-direction motor control, then this may be the diagram you are looking for.

I wired a manual switch to a linear reversible motor then added this remote but my manual switch burn out immediately. Is there a way to use both ( wireless and manual switch) ? Maybe install diodes?

I have the 2 ch RF wireless relay module with A/B remote FOB, and connected my motor for my FOB to control forward and reverse, but can I use/place micro switches in this circuit as limit switches? I am trying to give my project limit switches when I press forward or reverse, so the armature, I'm using will rev or go forward, when the limit is reached.

Hi, sorry for late response. To do that, you probably can use either one these options:First, use an Arduino to act as a timer. The RF relay could be replaced with a 2-ch relay module, which can be connected directly to the Arduino through jumper cables. Programming wise, you may have to use simple delay function or RTC module to implement the precise timing routine.Second, use ready made programmable timer as shown here: www.timer-switch.com/time-switch-timer-switch or here: www.amazon.com/2013newestseller-Multifunction-Self-lock-Module-Automation/dp/B00J0SMB3C. Please note that these kind of modules do not need any programming job as they are configurable through their buttons. The timer module then needs to be connected to the relay to do the reverse/forward motor control per needed.Hope this helps. Thank you.

Hi all. Please help me I don't know what to do. There is such an assembly through a 4-channel relay and through the switch pedals to the motors. The remote control works great. The pedal in one direction also works fine. And the Problem is that when you press the pedal so that the motor spins in the opposite direction (reverse), there is a short circuit in the relay area and even one relay has already burned out. As an option, I thought to put a switch between the relay and the pedals, that is, either turn the motor through the pedals, or through the remote control, but I would like it without a switch, that is, when I wanted to press the bullet or the pedal. Please help me how to fix this.

but why would you use an RF relay board if you want to control it with an arduino? how would you even control this RF board with an arduino, wouldn't you need to use another type ot board with wired controls and not RF remote for arduino?
You're right. However, if the users insist to activate the relays using Arduino, they may use the relay module instead of the RF relay board. This tutorial demonstrates not only how to operate the RF relay board, but how to do motor direction control using relays as well.

Yes, why not. Hold Button A, the door slides up. Hold Button B, the door slides down. If you don't like the 'hold' thing, see how to operate it in Toggle mode (video @ 3.16 - 3.21).

Yes, the motor will still run even without the Arduino as the RF relay module itself activates the respective relay when button A or B is pressed, definitely the Arduino is not needed here.

Roberto trejo Hi, theoretically, it's just same as the car's central locking system which connects to the battery all the time, even when engine is not running. So, I think it would be okay to keep it connected to the battery all the time during its idle state.

thx. i just did the conections and the module ligh turn off and It didn respond anymore. It could be dead? or ther is a reset button? But seems to be dead.

I did the instalation in a car. I connect de reciver to the batery and now the reciver is ded. The blue light dont turn on and when i push the buttosn on the emiter it does blink but the reciver don do anything.
