  • Morgan is located on the River Murray in South Australia and is an easy two hour drive for us from our home here in Adelaide. As I went to work a day earlier than normal, it meant that I also arrived home a day early which gave us an extra night to stay at Morgan during this trip. While at Morgan we visit the Warf area including the PS Canally. As well as this we take a couple of day trips to check out some River Murray camping locations that we may use during future visits to the area.

    Hi Mick. I drove through Morgan some 35 years ago. Can't remember much of it these days. Your use of the drone is an excellent touch. Love your videos, keep them coming. Great picture quality. From North Waikato, NZ.

      Thanks Chris, glad you like the video and it allows you to think of your time there even if it was 35 years ago. Like you I do like what a drone can show when used the correct way.

    Love Morgan enjoying your series. The return trip to Darwin was very entertaining. Good to see a truckie enjoying life. Hard slog Adelaide Darwin weekly 2 up. Was good to see western Qld green came back that way in May and was lifeless.

    Good one Mick, back in 1961 my Parents and us kids moved to Sunlands Irrigation scheme just west of Waikerie, so I visited Morgan many times, hey we did a drive from Morgan to Radium Hill up the old power line track, I was driving my 1962 EK Holden and Dad and Mum were in their 63 EJ Holden , just guessing now but that was probably 1966

    Great job, show casing Morgan. The river is very high at the moment. The boat ramp with the black poles and white tops is now under water and the Ferry is to be closed. The river marker is at 6.5m and may reach over the 8 m mark in December/ January. There is a lot of logs and junk being washed down the river making boating and swimming quite dangerous for now.

    I remember our tour bus, after a trip to Alice Springs, called in at Morgan on our return trip to Adelaide. That was in 1967 - and the tour was of year 12 students from Croydon High in Victoria. A beautiful place to spend the night.

    Can I please ask you a question??
    In all the free camping sites that you have been to, have you had to get a gray water tank??
    I am just setting up my old caravan for free camping

    • @justcruisinwithmicksally837
      @justcruisinwithmicksally837  Před 2 lety +1

      None of the sites shown on our channel have required a grey water tank. There has been a number of areas that we have stopped in over the years that do require one and there are slowly more that are requiring them. In saying that, it will take years for it to become a problem for those who do not have a grey water tank fitted. For local S.A. I probably wouldn't fit one, if you intend on going interstate as we have and will do then I would fit one.

    I noticed that you have 2 curved roof bars on your awning. What size van do you have?
    Also I've noticed some vans now have " truck friendly " stickers on the rear of their vans.

      Our van is 21 1/2 foot ling, the awning is 17 feet in length. Our van has a truck friendly sticker on the back.
