Like, ordinary people and viewers want to see entertainment and don't want politics be smothered on their faces, and that's the latter sentiment that Hollywood didn't get it, up until now.

The problem with Tina Fey and Amy Poehller is that their "comedic talents" come by others writing the jokes.
You do realize that Tina Fey was the head writer for SNL for years, and was awarded the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, right? Nobody has to write her, or Amy Poehler’s, jokes.

In fact, one of the real reasons Eddie Murphy did is "apology tour" turn as host is that the rumor came out that he laughed (and so did another *_SNL_* alumnus who was female) at the fact she got credit for two of the best sketches either of them were in.. laughed at meaning he didn't believe she wrote either.
