This is so true. NCERT during the 90s and 2000s was full of Mughal Raj. Infact, the 8th standard history textbook named medieval India was full of Mughals and Tuglaqs and lodhi and Ghazni. In karnataka, there was no mention of the Vijayanagara Empire or Mysore empire under wodeyars(there was mention of Tippu Sultan though), no mention the Rashtrakutas or Pallavas or thr Chalukyas. Rani Chenamma was just a passing mention in the freedom struggle chapter. This is how mughals were glorified by the Congress lead NCERT textbooks and no wonder there are so many who like Mughals so much in India. We lost our real identity by glorifying these invaders!!
