Schuster needs to be honest with himself if he wants to have an NRL Career.
The man didn't play for Samoa to get in shape 2 off-seasons ago, fast forward a year, now he's struggling with mental issues, hope he gets the help he needs, he's a decent player.
Josh Schuster has said he wants to be the best player in the game ... and he does have the talent to be just that.
However ... he is also somewhat lazy at heart. If he had the work ethic of say, a Daly Cherry-Evans, he could easily be the best in the game. But its getting that work ethic out of him for longer than a couple of weeks at a time without the months of laziness in-between.
Give a kid $800,000 a year what do you expect , manly need to learn from this mistake

Josh came from a Manly feeder club in Blacktown, a team that was in the Penrith juniors district until the NSWRL allowed Manly to poach.
Josh should come home to the Panthers and spend a year or two getting hardened up then they will be offering him a million dollars a year to leave Penrith.

Manly are handling this well. There are mental health issues here. What else can manly do? He doesn’t meet the standards that they have set. He’s overweight, doesn’t play well and sees to be happy playing nsw cup. NRL isn’t for everybody. He has incredible skill set but maybe park football is his thing. Also some guys mature later and hopefully Josh can get back but Manly can’t wait because this is a business
Well it all stems from their awful choice to sign him on so much money initially. Now it’s turned bad on them and the player. The pressures obviously stumped him and they’re stuck with a player who’s playing cup footy. Hopefully they learnt their lesson
