itâs the wetter weather killing hammies. 10/10 lateral movements on wet pitch exacerbates strain put on the hamstring. Lesser grip underfoot invites quick movement in hamstring to re-establish centre of gravity

Freddy saying animals don't get injuries is deranged, how many greyhounds and horses are put down every week for minor injuries?
Yeah that was so dumb. Even wild animals injure themselves all the time. You dont see them do hammys because they dont live long with those injuries.
Billy sitting back with his horse farm thinking these guys just donât get Origin.
Good call.
hes not the sharpest tool in the shed is he
vets are fictional lol
How can they have the QLD coach talking about NSW selections in front of the most recent NSW coach. It must be torture for Freddy and Joey hahahahaha
No more. RABBITOHS
Hahaha billy just sitting there licking he's lips
Gavin. Ringland. Go. With. Titans
So glad Fittler is no longer the coach. He was more interested in how he looks on camera than actually coaching
Agreed
No more. ROOSTER
And queensland are flourishing and full of depth! How convinient
The Queenslanders could field a team on crutches and they would still beat the Blues
Queensland sux period lol
Haha so much confidence. You will be one of those people that if QLD win, it will be an incredible win against all odds. If NSW win, itâs because âblues had the better sideâ.
@@Mikemonoa-hz2rzsucking period is the most disgusting thought ever.
Lol QLD missing players as well. Tino, Flegler, Ponga, Gilbert, Taulagi
Ponga was never gonna get picked
It's good to have depth though. If Walsh goes down Ponga would be next in line.
Bro there all dum players anywaysđđ€Š lol đ
@@Mikemonoa-hz2rz are you that dumb?
Queensland will always be the underdogs no matter what the teams are. If they win, it will be the greatest win against all odds.
Gotta be embrassing for Fitler sitting there discussing NSW when he and his staff calling it quites at the face of adversity last year.
Probably the way the game has changed also..Its more faster, less breaks due to the six again rule which is probably giving more stress to the body of players resulting in injuries imo..Could be other factors though.
Go watch Bevan French. His pass selection and running game is so lethal atm.
NSW should consider him for 6.
Watched wigans game this morning . And I completely agree French is an absolute gun and needs to come back to nrl asap . He would tear some teams up
He will be back in the NRL this year or next. Same as Jai Field. However I donât think French has a shot whilst in England
He isn't an NRL poster boy
Freddy has a point, 6 again, 6 again, 6 again leads to less stoppages in the game.
Offside, ruck infringement, etc used to be a penalty and play stopped, 6 again means they keep going.
Half the time I have no idea what the ref has seen because the game just keeps going.
It's always the spirit of Queensland united loyal to people of Queensland up the mighty maroons 24đâ€ïž
Freedie is off his head
Been into Joey's meds đ
His last point about less stoppages causing injuries was actually a really good point.
@@thomasrodwell563 should we go back to unlimited interchanges?or maybe the captain could ask the ref to stop play because they're getting puffed.

Ham strings, calves, pecs and biceps. A lot of players going down with cramp also which I havenât seen in years. Would it have anything to do with all the wet weather? Either due to it leading to more fatigue and or difficulty getting going and changing direction ( in the case of pecs and biceps for defenders). Iâve followed league since the 70âs and the first time I became aware of a torn pec was Luke Bailey in the early 2000âs. Andrew Symondsâ playing cricket was the only bicep injury I was aware of in any sport now theyâre regular in league. Have changing training techniques caused this increased susceptibility? Weight training really became a huge part of training in the early 90âs with the Raiders. They had a lot of great players regularly out for long periods but I donât recall the nature of their injuries.
The cramp thing has been pretty consistent for ever now. Think you're just noticing them more because of a focus on injuries in general. Doesn't seem any different than last year or the year before that or the year before that to me. But in terms of the tears then yeah, I think training has been a factor and another comment suggested wet conditions can lead to hammy injuries. Granted, we've had wet games forever too so it's probably modern training methods that play the biggest role in just how many end up as significant. The Raiders example is really interesting because weight training is pretty prolific now. The only place I can think of that has had significant muscle tears occur often is pro wrestling, and weight training is done pretty much daily there
Good players can feel pain sometimes theirs others out there who play origin arena just give them a Go coming from a Queenslander I love my origin đâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
Animals conserve energy and only use when they need to. Hence why no injuries. They donât hunt for fun and entertain.
Athletes put their bodies to the limit weekly. Injuries will happen. Game is faster than it is 10 or so years ago.
Luke Keary and Matt Burton
Moses or Hynes for 7 and Burton for 6.
Even if NSWâs team is made of players from NSW cup.
If QLD win: â QLD won this series against all oddsâ.
If NSW win: â so they should have won, they had the better teamâ.
Nsw just don't get origin including the fans of nsw đ
@@KingQwellz if thatâs true, hand your resume in to be a blues coach. Youâd make hundreds of thousands of dollars a year.
Actually a good take by Fitlet on stress and injuries. Never heard that one before
Even a broken clock is right twice a day
Excuses already đ
Yep, acting like qld won't be missing players through injury aswell đđ
What was the excuse? Billy spoke about the Queensland injuries too, so was that excuse making as well?
@@oiyeahnahh9785 This isnt anything to do with Qld. It is an issue with the injuries NSW have sustained over the weekend, and the underlining point is the importance of those players who will be missing.
i have found myself agreeing with gal over the last few years but he was injured a lot between origins didn't play sometimes at all between origins then just rocked up and was captain
Niko and Keary in the halves
If I were in Cleary or Tommy's shoes I would do everything I could do to get healthy for my club as oppose to Origin. Origin isn't that important. It's not. It's just a 3 game series that doesn't pay most of your bills in a nrl fiscal year..your club is your bread n butter, which is the truth that the media isn't going to say because they have to sell the series
I think Cleary would rather try to win a fourth GF, which is unprecedented in the modern era, than win an Origin series that he's already done.
Cleary has a lot more to prove in origin. He hasnât dominated it like Munster, Cherry-Evanâs have. Game 1 last year, he was woeful.
@@nswblues3146 He was not woeful. The problem last year was Tedesco hogging the ball to show he still had what it takes. Cleary passed to Tedesco 11 times in the first half, and eleven times Tdesco died with the ball. Cleary passed to Luai twice, and the second time resulted in a try to Martin. Don't judge Cleary until he runs the show. Under Freddy, his job was just to give the ball to Tedesco.
30k a game plus higher earning capacity being a rep player
@@daleviker5884 Tedesco wasnât great either. Clearyâs kicks went no where, he never gave his wingers/centres a chance to contest them. Anyways, I love Cleary but he has not dominated like Andrew Johnâs that they compare him to.
Danica is gorgeous
75% of the roster ,what a delima
Dont mind having Burton at 6, but Nicho at 7 doesnt fill me with confidence.
No Cleary might have secured Teddys spot, him being ready as Captain, and his combo with Edwards (and Luai, who prob misses out now) was going to make it easier to finally move on from Teddy.
Unpopular opinion - Addin Fonua Blake (if eligible) starting Front Rower for NSW

hate to say this but maybe adopt the gridiron approach and telly commercials every 10 min would give players a 2 min break. But then would need to take out refs who call so many penalties that it is detriment to the game
The NFL has recently changed the kick-off and tackling rules to counter concussion AND, believe it or not, a concern for Hamstring injuries. Pretty soon there will be penalties for running too fast hahaha

Won't matter who the blues play, won't win anyway.
As a qlder, Moses / Hynes is much more dangerous than Cleary / Luai....10000% better, both have strong running games, can defend, eyes up footy and kicking games...and they never go missing during games
or Burton is also better too
Yeah, it's good to ask a Queenslander to ask them who they would hate to play against rather than hundreds of NSW supporters down here.
Might be a good thing as NSW won't just try and play like Penrith. I'd rather Murray at lock over Yow for his faster play the ball, which gives a greater advantage then Yow's ball playing. Moses, if fit, is more unpredictable, which again I think is better for Origin. Don't get me wrong I'd love Cleary to be there, but Moses at 6 and Hynes at 7 would be a fairly decent combo.
Yeo makes far more contact metres than any lock in the game, so that nullifies the speed of the play the ball. But IMO, I hope they don't pick Edwards without Cleary although he would obviously still be a better pick than Teddy.
Milks too many penalties Murray, doesn't gain more yardage than yowi, yowi is a big lock that can run
@@YouChwb Meh. David Klemmer makes a lot of slow meters too, but that's pretty ineffectual. A faster play the ball before the defensive line gets set is far more useful than a few more post contact meters.
@@manmountain3205 A faster play the ball is better than a few more post contact meters. The defense doesn't have time to get set.
@@paythepiper6283 I'm guessing you are Cam Murray's brother? Yeo has been enormous this season. He runs like a prop and has the ball-playing of a half back. He's an unassuming guy who doesn't demand the spotlight, but he is a critical part of Penrith's success.
Only the NSW selectors make the decision who can play who can't who will steer the ship for NSW Blues in origin 24 that's my question â Queenslander đđ
bring back sterlo đ
The NRL are trying to speed up the game and make it as interesting and trying to keep up with the AFL, and the faster they have sped up the game over the last 10 years, the more injuries the players get, why, because the game happens too fast and more accidents happen. Both games are different, please dont try to keep pace with the AFL, cause the game will lose.
New York
Sezer and Cody walker
Why the obsession with Turbo? The bloke is injury prone yet every expert feels he is entitled to an automatic Origin Jersey. There are other players than this one bloke! Stop hyping up another NRL poster boy and throw your support behind another deserving player.

turbo should never have been picked this series so thank goodness for that because a wasted pick bradmen and lomax without a doubt. poor management by panthers with cleary's hamstring as we've seen with turbo and latrell (not main reason he can't play) but you cant rush hamstring injuries as these 3 have. hynes should not be in this series. he's overrated. moses and burton.
