Hela Odinsdottir was the Asgardian Goddess of Death and former Executioner of Asgard. Imprisoned in Hel for millennia by her father Odin, Hela was released from her prison in the wake of his death and went to restore her power over Asgard, while simultaneously engaging in a series of encounters with her younger brothers Thor and Loki. Gaining her power from Asgard, Hela planned to rule Asgard and create an Asgardian Empire. When all the people of Asgard refused to bow to her, Hela set about massacring Odin's armies and enslaving the people, while recruiting Skurge to be her own Executioner in the process. Eventually however, Thor returned with the newly formed Revengers and then reengaged Hela, which had then resulted in Loki unleashing Surtur, who then destroyed Asgard by finally causing Ragnarök and killed Hela as a result. - Zábava

She's HELA powerful
One issue I had is the assumption that Hela needed to match the gigaton of energy needed to destroy Mjolnir. Mjolnir is both a physical and magical weapon. If "magic" is simply technology we have yet to understand, we can suppose that Mjolnir has a self-destruct function, like most weapons of mass destruction nowadays, that only Hela and Odin knows. If that was the case, then the scene where Hela destroys the hammer, she was not matching its energy to crush it but rather the hammer was expelling energy as part of the self destruct sequence. Not a full energy explosion but only what was needed to destroy itself inside out.
Is Hela slower than lightning and Thor? I feel in movie she just didn't care. Like holding your baby brother back as he swings his arms in a windmill for a more powerful attack. "Honestly Thor😧, stop hitting yourself with Loki...Well now boys, I'm just embarrassed to have my little brothers come in to save me from this green behemoth. (As she uses Thor and Loki like meat bat's to hit hulk) 🙄"
nd yet, Asgard isn't a place, its a people. So Hella may not be dead, as she derives her power from Asgard. Hella could return.
The thing is, there’s a huge flaw with your whole jet argument first off the bar fries doesn’t work like a jet at all second it’s a tractor beam which means whatever is inside of it should be completely still and not moving the only way they would be able to move is if they’re going faster than the bi Frost
So if she is damn powerful, just imagine how powerful Odin is for sealing her in a prison? Probably why Thanos waited till he died to finally show himself.
This makes sense.
dont forget that odin was able to imprison her because he was at his peak. honestly, she could wipe out the entire avengers if she wanted to.

@@lucario2able When you're the Goddess of death it pretty much is. Odin trapped her in Hel with his magic, when that goes away she's still in Hel, his magic just isn't keeping her anymore. So she got out on her own.

I think this version of Hela is based off of Ultimate Odin.
In the Ultimate U Odin used his own energies to create and power Asgard. And the Norn Stones.
Making him weaker mystically, but keeping him alive even longer.
As long as he lived, so did Asgard and the Norn Stones exist.
And vice versa.

Hela is likely the most powerful character in the MCU.
Sad that we may never see her again as Cate Blanchett played her perfectly.
Although I sustain that she's not really dead, since as stated by Thor and Odin, Asgard is not the place it's the people and Asgard is still alive.

@@KeyIssues yeah forgot him, so second most powerful at any rate, although with that in mind I'd argue that while Dormammu is an interdimensional being he was still unable to leave his dimension without being called from the other side, while (and I'm speculating here) Hela was trapped in hel which could be counted as another dimension and only Odin's life force was strong enough to keep her there and once he was gone she had no trouble coming back.
@Snehil Shrey True but from what I gathered in the movie she fully believed herself capable of it as him showing up did not phase her too much and she went right into battle against him without hesitation my guess is she was still not at full power.
Plus calling Surtur weak for MCU is a bit of a stretch, he had enough power to destroy a "planet" so far no other MCU character but Thanos (Odin, Ego and Dormammu too probably but we've not seen them actually use their full power) with at least the Power stone has shown to have enough power to do so.
And Hela actually hurt Surtur when they fought, since with Hulk he merely tossed him aside and went on his business of destroying Asgard but when Hela attacked him he focused right on her.
@Snehil Shrey Surtur at the start of Ragnarok did not have the Eternal flame that's why he was weak, joining his crown with the Flame is what got him back to his full power.
Hell he even states it himself at the start of the movie that he needs the Eternal flame to cause Ragnarok

@@anatoldenevers237 In terms of overall beings, I'd say Dormammu is the most powerful as well but Thanos with IG is insanely powerful too. After Wandavision, the Scarlet Witch is hands down the most powerful avenger. Dr. Strange is only more knowledgeable than her in the mystic arts but she clearly has far more raw power and that's only the tip of the iceberg as she never had training on her powers.
You can see the way her armor glows when she's at Asgard. It could indicate how her powers grow. You could also see that the armor was not glowing when she had fought with thor and loki at Midgard
I know she's not really dead and she's definitely going to come back in love and thunder because you know female Thor Valkyrie why wouldn't they have a female villain I just hope they do a lot more and making her a compelling character

Hela added so much to the MCU. Such a thrill to finally have a female supervillian. She’s so well written and Blanchett gave one of the best performances of literally any character in the franchise. My only gripe was how they made her their sister instead of Loki’s daughter (cannon in comics and Norse mythology) missed out on a golden opportunity to breathe life and depth into his exhausted (tbh perhaps overstayed) role in the films before he dies.

I always thought Thanos was lucky that Surtr ended Asgard and that Loki took the stone. Without those things happening Thanos would have to hope the Time Stone can compensate the impossibilities presented

I never really thought about it. She was overpowering Thor in his base form. Thor in his base form is able to trade blows with Hulk. She is probably not only the strongest MCU character, but the most powerful. Except for maybe Thanos with the gauntlet.
if you’ll recall, she was stabbed straight through her torso by an Asgardian Soldier and it didn’t even phase her and it left no wound afterwards. The thing with Hela is that she’s miles stronger than Thor even away from Asgard, but on Asgard itself, she draws power from it and is basically invincible. I’m pretty sure Surtur bringing his sword down her didn’t even kill her, but she died when he destroyed Asgard at the same time. And frankly Surtur is the only being in the universe who could destroy Asgard entirely, meaning Hela cannot be killed by anything short of Ragnarok itself. I’m fairly certain she could bring down Thanos with 5 out of 6 infinity stones in his gauntlet. And because Surtur’s power is conditional upon interacting with the eternal flame and that Ego the Living Planet needed a second Celestial to begin to terraform the galaxy, Hela is/was next to Dormammu the most powerful being in the universe, at least until Scarlet Witch masters her chaos magic.

Maybe hela doesn't know lokis secret entrance and is prevented from teleporting to asgard by some kind of magic.
We know she can teleport from hel to earth so she has that ability.

Hela weilds the Necrosword, All-Black
The first symbiote. The same being that bonded with Gorr the God Butcher later. The symbiote binds with whoever with the most bloodlust.
All black is not on the mcu. I think you’re confusing the fact that they call hela’s swords necroswords with the Comicbook version of the necrosword.
Also consider the fact that these blade are generated from her, in nearly infinite numbers, and break on impact... where all black is a singular blade that cannot be destroyed nearly as easily
I'm pretty sure we won't be getting Knull on the MCU & they'll go nowhere near the symbiote stuff, but Hela was clearly wielding the Jason Aaron version of All-Black & I hope that Love & Thunder has Gorr become it's next host.

There’s evidence to imply she never died. If you look at the portal and the color green it shows. When she fights Surtur and he comes down with his sword you can see the portal just as it strikes. Not that it’s fact but interesting theory to look into.

We never got to see Odin in his prime in the MCU; the closest we got was him scaring off the entire Frost Giant army in Thor 1. Odin in his prime being powerful enough to subdue and seal away Hela? He was probably one of the most powerful beings to ever exist in the MCU, no wonder Thanos waited until he was gone to make his move.
My question is who’s stronger in order? Ego, Thanos (with stones), and Thanos without stones, or Hela?

I love how the sleek blades is in conjunction with her iconically menacing headdress. The design dialogue is on point. And that vicious and satanic green with accents of black.

If Captain Marvel 2 comes out, I would love to have it placed right before Thor: Ragnarok, where, in any conjuring case, she would fight Hela.
Well firstly keep in mind that magic plays a huge role in all her feats. I wouldn't equate strength of a multiple nukes to her grip just because she destroyed the hammer. Her power comes from her knowledge as much as her magic. The hulk used all his force and could not pick up the hammer yet hela held and destroyed it? Ask how! She used to own the hammer and based on her words of "you've no idea what's possible" implies that she knows way more about the hammer than thor she used to own it before thor and very possibly learned way more of its power and secrets just odin appears to know more about it's capabilities. It's wholely possible that she simply knew how to circumvent it's enchantments and destroy it that way. Knowledge comes into it again when she calls the glove fake the casket weak and points to the cube and says "not bad" implying she knew exactly what it was (space stone) and how to use it. Remember she has been around the block before she looks to have learned all there is to know about what weapons and objects are in her universe her destroying the hammer could have been an extension of that knowledge.
what i would like to have seen is an alternate timeline where hela succeeds in beating thor and friends and sutuyr never gets resurrected thus she remains in asgard with her full power and thanos invades looking for the space stone. how would she fair? i think it would be one hell of a fight and if his "destiny" wasnt to collect the stones i think she would even win... tho i have to wonder about the telekinesis guy in the black order. if he gets a hold of her while another shields her it may be enough for them to subdue her tho this is assuming itd be a one vs 3+.. i imagine she could just resurrect her army again and win with her regeneration. tho 1v1 against anyone i think she wins.
If the telekinesis grabs her. Her dog would 1 shot him to defend her. And she would kill anyone trying to hurt her beloved invincible wolf

2:46 Hela never died, at the last second she opened a portal and left. If you go frame by frame you will see the green glow appear.
The weapon manifestation Is the necrosword crown. The crown is what allows her to make the swords. It's probably a weapon built a long time ago at the same place Thor hammer was built

Odin "odinforce" which was the full power is Asgard channelled through him, hence his power. Now when he died and the Odin force passed down to the oldest sibling I.e heal, which is the reason Surtur was needed to destroy asgard, to destroy the odin/hela force which Thor never inherited except from fully unlocking his own latent powers.

@@jameslyon2338 i don't think there are such things as lesser stones when it comes to the Infinity stones, a sliver of the Tesseract energy created Capitan Marvel who is in the top 5 most powerful characters in the MCU, like the mind stone created Scarlett Witch which is one of the other heavy hitters, and when you think about it in the context of the movie Hela spent the entire second half of the film trying to get the bifrost sword to leave Asgard, why did she not just double back and get the Tesseract and use that to move around the universe like Loki did and literally everyone else who was after it did?
The only reason I can think is that she did not have anyone capable of making something to harness it's power as Loki had to use a scepter, Thanos the Gauntlet and the Kree the light speed engine.
But other than that it really does seem she viewed it as beneath her

Asgardians increase in powers as they age making Hela more than a match for Thor just based on the fact that he's her younger brother. My guess would be that the only reason Thor exceeds Valkyrie is because he's in Odin's bloodline. Valkyrie was around when Hela was challenged the first time so she's got a decent power level as well.
I was about to say that Hela was the most powerful character in the MCU then I thought bout Wanda. (We won’t talk bout Thanos Cos w/o the 🧤 he’s not even in the Top 10 most powerful character) Wanda’s powers haven’t been completely shown in the movies but we know that she’s an incredible witch. The fact that she was about to kill Thanos by telekinesis show how her powers r dangerous. She was destroying the mind stone while stopping a Thanos w 5 stones... I mean. The power jumped out. But still I think that Hela’s weapon would easily kill wanda if she’s not concentrate.🤷🏽

Kumar Shivam she’s not. Dr Strange has the time stone for himself and yes it makes me him very powerful but sw can manipulate time w/o this stone and she can change the reality. She’s just like jean, their mind r very chaotic cos they have a lot of power and they can’t control it + their power r mostly based on their emotions. Sw is the most powerful witch/wizard of the mu. 🤷🏽♂️

Don't forget when Hela shatters the roof in the throne room there is a painting of her & Odin where she is wielding Mjolnir. So the reason she is able to hold Mjolnir as well as destroy it is because she was the first wielder of Mjolnir.
question? how to you compare fighting on a jet to moving and FTL for instance if your falling from a skyscraper you most likely aren't ganna be able to react and respond to the person you're fighting I feel like if you were put into a giant machine spinning as even the speed of sound you wouldn't know what you're even fight can anyone explain this feat and if it can actually be used as a speed feat

They should get Cate to portray Hela in her own Netflix series. They could start from when she was born and take the story through until Odin locks her in hell. With the amount of people who absolutely love her character I think it’d be a smash hit. They could include some back stories to the valkeries, the 9 realms Hela conquered, etc. Having Odin be a power hungry war monger would be cool to see as well since his character in the MCU is all about peace. I hope they make it happen, the have her character only make one appearance is really a shame.
it terms of speed feat the hammer catching feat comes again . the hammer (in thor 2) has travelled from one realm to another in matter of seconds . hela manages to catch it
Hela being a god like thor she might not be affected by the snap and she could easily take shots from the full gauntlet do id say she is more powerful than thanos with all stones
