The Black Order, also known as the Children of Thanos, was an elite team comprised of super-powered individuals who used their abilities to serve their adoptive father, Thanos. As Thanos' vicious generals, they assisted him in his mission to find and harness the power of the Infinity Stones.
The Black Order was created by Thanos as part of his modus operandi of adopting one individual of a planet that he conquered and subsequently killing half of the entire population. While some of his children, such as Gamora and Nebula secretly despised Thanos and plotted to kill him, others became sympathetic to his cause and became his generals, known as the Black Order - Zábava

The entire point of life:
Jesus did not come to be served, but to serve. Mathew 20: 28. We are no different. This entire life is a representation of the spiritual warfare going on. Good vs evil. God isn't a flying man in the sky, but the actual representation of Love, Hope, Joy, Peace, Light, etc. Not metaphor, but literally, like an extra demintional wavelength of thought, emotions, and intent. The devil is the opposite wavelength, pain, fear, hate, anger, darkness, etc. Human life is serving one of these two. Not a man in the sky, actual sentient collective universal Love. However, humans are primatives, we make mistakes. It's in our nature, since the fall, to go down the wrong path. This means at some time each one of us has served darkness to some degree. God understands our limited understanding of our own actions, so he gave us forgiveness, though sacrificing himself in human form as Jesus Christ. It is our duty to accept that sacrifice, get the forgiveness, and be better, helping others be better, and spreading this wavelength of Love, Hope, Joy, Peace, Light, etc, thoughout the universe. But God had to make a way for us to get to this place spiritually, this is why evidence is not allowed. Evidence will make you believe, using the fear of absolute punishment to change your behavior, but that won't make you better, just scared. Faith makes you better. It is what redeemes us, not our works. Faith is the hope that things get better, that justice always prevails, that we're at least loved by our creator. But it has to be Faith in Jesus, because of his sacrifice. And there can't be evidence to point us to him, because Love had to be fair. If there were a code in our DNA, what about everyone born before genetic sequencing? If there were a book with the solar system thosands of years ago, what would stop an evil person from hiding/destroying it? If it were something you had to go to, what about the geographically isolated, imprisoned, or enslaved. If it were a train of logic, what about the uneducated, or mentally slow? Not to mention all the people born before schools. Love cannot give to one without giving to the other. So the key to salvation had to be something everyone has access to. The only thing is Faith. This is why God puts it upon your heart to learn about these things, even if it's only to criticize, or hate. God is everywhere, because Love is everywhere, and so is the devil, because hate is everywhere. They're in your head all the time, regardless of weather or not you accept that. They whisper inside your heart, giving you ideas. But more than that, they're inside everyone's heart. This is how they get things done. They corrordanate us like pieces on a chess board. The only difference is, we get to chose who's side we're playing for. At the end of our life, we go to that team's home base, Heaven, or Hell. A place where all that exists is those wavelengths. Hate, pain, anger, fear, darkness; or Love, Hope, Joy, Peace, Pleasure, Light. The choice is yours to make. But you cannot go to Heaven with hate in your heart. You must forgive, repent, and spread joy for those around you. These are sentient eternal controlling forces in our universe. Heaven and Hell are very real places, I've seen them. Those steps prime your soul for a meeting with God. Very literally. Once you've done all four, in that order, you get divine revelation, with all the evidence you'll ever need. They are, forgive your parents, brake down before Jesus, ask for forgiveness, and read the Bible. Step four takes three books to get the revelation. I recommend Genesis, Mathew, and then either Luke, Psalms, or proverbs. The order of the steps is important, step 1 has to come before step 3. I can state that for an absolute certainty that these steps always work. Please, take your salvation seriously. See for yourself. Do those steps. Jesus Christ is Lord. It's all True'

Maw isn't like that in the comics, I don't think. I think he's just a telepath? He did break the mind of Doctor Strange though which is very impressive considering Strange is one of the strongest minds in Marvel comics. If he is a telekinetic then I don't think he's that powerful.
The other members of The Black Order were definitely underused and nerfed. Example, Proxima Midnight's spear/trident can move at the speed of light when thrown, so Cap would've died if not for plot.

It’s crazy how ebony maw was one of the most powerful villains in the mcu so far but was overshadowed because he was Thanos’ left hand man and not the big bad of a movie
He also only had one fight and was offed super easily, his death was basically the punchline of a joke.

They got the drop on Wanda and Vision, and his glaive seriously wounded Vision and nerfed him for the rest of the movie. Cap, Widow, and Falcon then got the drop on Proxima and Corvus (who was wounded). Not that difficult to understand.

He didn’t destroy them well he did vision but they beat scarlet witch by surprise attacking her but then eventually she overpowered proxima midnight and she would’ve done them both but then the avengers arrived and did it for her

The Black Order were an underrated group tbh. I wish we got to see more of their past like the Russo’s said they were going to add in Infinity War.

Okoye didn’t actually kill Corvus, he can only be killed by his own Glaive, that’s why he regenerated from his first wound so fast i believe. When Thanos’ army is getting dusted you can see Proxima and Corvus spending their final moments together

@@gizzad I think that if Corvus dies (in any way) he'll always regenerate as long as his glaive is intact. Something to do with his soul or something. Idk if him being killed by his own glaive changes anything, it might.

There are way more stronger or equal in strength and durable materials to that of Uru. A common misconception is that Thanos copter blade and Corvus Glaives Spear is made of Uru they both were created from extraterrestrial metal made by eitri.

Well technically corvis glave is still alive, he's immortal and can't die as long as his weapon isn't broken. He will continue to regenerate. Also think of both his weapon and promixas spear. Both has the ability to cut through essentially everything. So both would have cut through captian America's shield as easily as they stabbed vision.

@@paulbunions8580 but thesnap was reversed in wanda vision. Alot of people who got snapped away came back. Either way HE got snapped away, not his glave. That fell to the floor. He can still come back on his own just for the glave being intact.

I don't know if anyone has said it already but Corvus showed no signs of being hurt because his glaive is the glaive of immortality which prevents him from dying unless the glaive is destroyed. This is directly from the comics.
I forgot that Quicksilver & Scarlett Witch were both against the Avengers and wanted to kill them when they first came onto the scene. Imagine if they sided with Thanos so they could get revenge against Iron Man.

Assassin: Speed, stealth, agility. Good at hand to hand combat and weaponry
Fighter: A bit tank-ish, good at hand to hand combat and weaponry. Less faster than Assassins but much physically stronger.
Mage: Mainly uses any types of energy, magic, telekinesis, psychic abilities, etc. Slower than Assassins and Fighters, and much vulnerable but more damage.
Tank: I bit slow, but invulnerable. They possessed super strength among all them and they’re mostly huge. They are also the frontline and “Shields”
Support: Heals, and supports the team. Could be a side kick, a helper, healer, mainly not really good at combat but could be really useful in a specific situations like reading minds, fixing or making weapons, geniuses, long range, etc.
Ebony Maw: Mage/Support
Obsidian: Tank
Proxima: Fighter
Corvus: Assassin
Thanos: Tank/Fighter/Mage/Assassin/Support

Iron-man: Fighter/Mage/Tank/Support

to be fair she didn't fight asgardians, Thor maybe but we didn't see the fight and if she did she wasn't alone. Thanos looked very much apart of the fight. Black widow was fighting her 2v1 both times as well and both times a 3rd joined (falcon 1st, Wanda 2nd).

I love these four. Having just picked up the Marvel Legends figures of them at my local comic store today, it makes me wish there was a movie with just them. They look so cool displayed together.
It pissed me off how they treated the black order Corvis glaive is underrated he can't be killed unless you destroy the glaive and they didn't include super giant
@Pelle Koopman Yeah, it was really dumb. They didn't have to make Corvus and Proxima as OP as they are in the comics, but either of them should be able to completely outclass Okoye and Black Widow in a close combat fight. Gamora and Nebula should be able to as well.
MCU Uses comics as inspiration to make their own stories... Just because the comic book characters seem stronger or has different abilities that doesn't mean they are the same in MCU version... MCU doesn't = Comics and vice versa... This has been explained time and time again 🤦🏿♂️

It's a 2 hour movie?? The thing about comics is that stories can take their time and audiences are able to understand who the Black Order is, their powers, strengths and weaknesses... I have a feeling the majority of MCU fans don't have that big of an understanding of the comics books so that why they didn't have much of a role in MCU and were just used as Thanos' bodyguards... Them being at their 'comic book' level strength would have taken the light off who Thanos was and we would have got a completely different story and attitude towards Thanos... When going into an MCU movie I don't look to deep into comics because I know this will be a different story... Why are people not arguing why we didn't see lady Death for being the motive for driving Thanos' thirst for blood ?? Like I said the MCU and comics are different, see it as being a different multiverse in this one yes they are weak, in another they are probably ruthless

Would have been a dope fight. Scarlet Witch couldnt beat Proxima Midnight in a 1v1 so I feel like Maw would have won.

The final battle should have had a rematch between Maw and Strange. It would've been a way better excuse to don't have him destroy Thanos easily instead of putting him to hold some water for half of the fight.
I love when main villain has competent subordinates. Black Order is more memorable than some main villains from other MCU movies.

It makes sense that Corvus wasn't killed by getting stabbed by Widow, his life force is connected to the glaive. As long as the glaive is ok, hes ok. So I assume Vision didn't kill him, just injured him enough to take him out of the fight temporarily. I assume with the fight over and his other backup gone, he just slips away (unless they changed it so he could be killed _with_ the glaive)
Ebony maw should have been able to use telekinesis to fly himself back to the ship...
Or close the hole or anything... It just should have given them time to free strange but not kill ebony... I'm with you...
Unfortunately, Ebony Maw is an alien with telekinetic abilities that far exceed the force push and pull. He is not Leia Organa, the human who can survive being in space long enough to pull herself back onto a destroyed ship.

All of the Dora Milaje are very skilled, and Okoye is likely the best. This is also a version of Okoye that has 5 years of experience more than in Infinity War and a version of Corvus that has about 4 fewer than the same. And as has already been said, vibranium weapons are no joke, and a vibranium spear is definitely more deadly than a shield, even a shield in Cap's hands, notice we never see Corvus get injured by anything besides the Black Order's own weapons or the vibranium spear. Plus the front line of a war is a different setting than a skirmish involving literally just 3 people.

Yet even so it makes little difference, he seemed injured enough to make him unable to continue fighting. My point was that a highly skilled fighter with a weapon as deadly as a vibranium spear could believably defeat him regardless of lack of powers.
