Villains come and go, but some of them have more of an impact than others. Some can get overshadowed by bigger villains and sometimes the heroes never realize that the villain even exists. In the confusion, as the dust starts to settle, there are villains that sneak off, break free or otherwise escape the hero’s grasp, free to lurk around and plot their eventual revenge. Sooner or later they pop back up again, ready to challenge the hero anew, especially in the comics.
Now that comic universes are movie universes, there are some villains waiting in the shadows ready to challenge the heroes again. Some of them were former allies, some of them were sidekicks of some other villain and sometimes they were just plain ol’ bystanders. Either way, they’re potential threats, so here’s some villains still messing about in the MCU.

With Hydra taking over S.H.I.E.L.D. there is a chance that Marvel may bring him back in future films- especially now that he is loose and that Marvel brought back General Ross!

Yeah I really feel like they didn't think that part through, the more you think about the end of Endgame the less it makes sense. How did Cap return the stone to Jane Foster? Inject it back in her? How'd he give back the soul stone? How did he live his life in an alternate reality and then end up in the reality he came from?

The hulk has a television series where the hulk traps the leader and I believe that hulk and his team are able to stop the leader forever
Edit 1: The abomanation gets taken down by ghost rider in the same series and then gets left behind with his own human self
Edit 2: The collector isn't the last of his kind. He has an older brother (of who I forgot the name) and they battle with each other with real people. the collector collects all the good guys and his brother all the villans. this was in the animated spiderman series.

No, Captain America returned the stones at the point they were taken. That means that the destruction of the stones still happened, so in the current MCU timeline the stones are gone, freeing Red Skull.
Its the stone from another timeline it doesnt affect of what had happened

I could see Marvel do a movie where The Leader uses his advanced intellect to manipulate Thunderbolt Ross into using the Abomination to take out The Hulk. That’s a Hulk solo outing I wouldn’t mind watching. Part of why we haven’t seen another hulk solo though is the movie rights aren’t completely owned by Marvel studios, that and its box office performance was middling.

Guess I’ll be that guy. I’m pretty sure in season one of AoS there is a reference to Abomination. I believe he is being held in an icy prison in Antarctica. Possible was moved to the raft after hydra, possibly escaped. Canon wise, he’s jailed in Antarctica. Unless some comic says otherwise.
I concur. Coulson mentions Blonsky as being incarcerated in a remote prison that may or may not be the Vault, and warns someone that the price for failing a mission may be reassignment to being a guard there.

The theory about Abomination is quite interesting and actually makes sense. While "The Incredible Hulk" is the black-sheep of the MCU they did bring General Ross back which could mean Abomination is around the corner or at least Red Hulk.
I could see General Ross being very upset that Hulk is back on Earth after Avengers 4 and possibly trying to turn Abomination into a military weapon to detain Hulk or maybe turning himself into the Red Hulk.

Reece Finch-Hawkes in the movie he said he cannot die until his destiny is fullfilled, having destiny fullfilled. He dies in the explosion. Look to real Norse mythology, the real surtur is also fated to destroy Asgard, surtur with it. He’s dead. Hela though, there are theory’s that she teleported out of there, because there’s a flash of green light that looked similar to the portal she entered through.
@@ozzygilliam9194 Yea we see Surtur explode with Asgard but it's too far out to see Hela die so she very well could've escaped. In that movie they kept mentioning her power comes from Asgard but she was never powerless even when she was on earth. They also pushed the idea that Ashard isn't a place it's a people. So I think the more Asgardians are alive the more powerful she is especially people like Thor. But either way just because she draws power from Asgard doesn't mean that when Asgard is destroyed she would die too she would just be weaker. I think that she'll probably lay low and study magick to return to her former power levels or something like that. I never trust an offscreen death.

The collector seems less like a villain and more like someone who's desires might come into direct conflict with the desires of The Avengers or Guardians down the line. But I guess that can always change down the line. Y'know IF he's still alive. But I don't think they would just kill him off like that. They've called too much attention to his existence for them to just throw him away. There's no way in hell he doesn't make an appearance in the next Guardian flick.

The Elders have so much power. It's a shame we didn't get to see them using it. Even just to see them casually teleport away when they were faced with a predicament. Collector's lab being blown up, or the Grandmaster facing an angry mob. Just something to show that they're more than just older dudes that think they're better than everyone else.
I know the Collector doesn't use his powers often in the comics because he finds them to be irrelevant to his hobby as he has other people do his bidding for him, but the Grandmaster uses his, and it would have been nice to even see him wave his hand and turn the mob at the end into jello or something.
Surtur actually said that he would not die until he fulfilled his destiny and causing Ragnorok, so he might have died after Ragnorok.
