  • Everyone knows the Biblical story of Adam and Eve, and most people are also familiar with the story of their sons Cain and Abel. But many people would have you believe that that's where it ends when it comes to Adam and Eve's kids. According to some histories, that's very much not the case.
According to lost or uncanonical biblical texts like "The Book of the Daughters of Adam," "The Conflict of Adam and Eve with Satan," and the Book of Jubilees, Adam and Eve begat way more than just their two problematic sons. They also had daughters named Luluwa, Aklia, and more - dozens more, making their family way weirder than you may expect. This is the untold truth of Adam and Eve's daughters.

The Bible does not give us a specific number of children. Adam and Eve had Cain (Genesis 4:1), Abel (Genesis 4:2), Seth (Genesis 4:25), and many other sons and daughters (Genesis 5:4). With likely hundreds of years of child-bearing capability, Adam and Eve likely had 50+ children in their lifetime.

JESUS teaches us to lead a life of righteousness to be able to get back the grace of God on our lives preparing us to be united with God once again.
I don't think you go to a high spciety party in dirty rags...so it is to follow the word of God to wear the gsrments of righteousness when we go to meet Gof

I pondered the translations of 'lost history', ...especially, "...and he had many sons and daughters.." the long standing precept is much like the story of Ruth, in which she, a young widow, clung to her mother-in-law, Naomi, because Naomi, was an upright woman. Because Naomi had no other kinsman in Ruth's homeland of Moab, she departed for the land of Canaan, certain that her husband had kin'smen there- Ruth pleaded with Naomi, to let her go with her-saying that she would help Naomi. The story of Ruth tells us of this because this is how the bloodline of King David was established in the land that had been known by all the peoples of the Earth as Canaan up to that time. Ruth was adopted as Naomi' daughter since the things she did for Naomi was what a daughter does out of love for her own mother. Naomi is the matchmaker who knew that Ruth was an upright young widow, and that her husband's kinsman observed a custom honoring the precepts set forth in Leviticus-and so it came to be that Boaz knew that Ruth was to become his wife.

Because of the fall, we will never know how the union of Adam and Eve as husband and wife was meant to work had they never eaten the fruit. God is not limited to our imaginations. For example, during His ministry and after His resurrection, Jesus Christ showed us another way of 'Being Born of the water and the Spirit,' that does not involve the flesh union. Plus, 'we who are many finally become one,' in Christ, without actually involving the bodies/flesh, all of this points to the fact that marriage or the union of Adam and Eve as one flesh, could also have worked differently from what we now take for granted, albeit the fact that their knowing each other as we know it today, only happened after the fall because their perception had also fallen. Only then did they become aware of their nakedness, as a result of the fall, yet they had always been naked and unaware of it. So it is pretty obvious that everything we see, after the fall had veered off God's original course. It all fell short of God's glory. Yet we stand here and now and use it to think that His nature is contradictory??!! Our own fall, to decipher His nature?!

You misunderstand. It was intended for Adam and Eve to eat the fruit from the tree. This was to teach man the path to salvation. When Adam ate from the tree he prayed for forgiveness and taught man what should be done when he errs. This is different from the path of Satan when he deviated from the path and blamed God.

@@kxwhyknot8314 We know that there is no guile in God! If you say, 'it wad intended for Adam and Eve to ear of the fruit,' that is what you make God to look like. Because the same God said to Adam, 'Do not eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil that is in the middle of the garden, because the day you eat of it you will die.' If He said this, knowing very well that they would eat, he would be as if He says things He does not intend to happen. And that brings him down to our level. He intended foe Adam and Eve to stay away from that fruit, which is why He warned them. Plus, we would not have needed to learn about salvation if we had not fallen. We only needed to learn about it because we had fallen and needed to find a way back to our default. Which way God began to teach us about because He alone knew how it could be done. How we could come back from the dead!

@@sublime1061 you do not understand how God's knowledge work. You also must not believe in Pre decree. Here is something that will help you.
Does God knows all? I mean everything that has happened and everything that will happen? The answer is yes or he would not be all knowing. Who else ate from this tree? Why was it created? Why was it forbidden? You also do not understand God's wisdom. This is common for Christians because there is no set direction to follow. Just conjecture and argument. God is merciful and forgiving. How can he be those things without having creatures to forgive and be merciful to? Does God test people with trial? Of course he does and the righteous are either patience or regretful seeking forgiveness and mercy. Remember God created the devil knowing what he would do. He has also created the anti Christ knowing what he will do. By the way the anti christ is proof that God knows what will happen. Right now after reading what I put about the the devil and anti Christ, you are struggling to accept what I am saying because you want to hold on to your concept of God. But like I said Chrisitians have no firm stance on who or what God is. They only believe Ina trinity as core with no consensus on anything else. Which is funny because the trinity is never mentioned at all in the Bible. The reason I can make sense out of it is because as a Muslim we are taught from children that God knows all and that free will is only the choice to choose right or wrong. You have no control over the out come. And God not only decides the out come but he knows all the other possible outcomes. A preacher said something I totally agree with. He said, " you meant it for evil but God meant it for Good"

All those incest questions can be explained by devolution. Lucifer twist everything The Creator does or has done. Therefore we are devolving as opposed to evolving, for example, Adam & Eve were genetically perfect in the garden and The Creator told them told go forth and multiply when they were banished, this shows that The Creator knew their children would mingle and still instructed them to do so.. implying that it was okay because they were still genetically perfect and defections and disabilities wouldn't show for many generations to come.. hence him telling moses that none should reproduce with anyone of their own direct kin, centuries later.... The SAME CREATOR SAID THIS! Why? Because like i said earlier he KNEW that EVENTUALLY defections would occur. Look at it like this.. a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy will never be as good as the original 👍🏽.

If you read Genesis more carefully you notice that, according to the time line, God made mankind on the 6th day, rested on the 7th day, and then made Adam and garden he put him in on the 8th day or later. This suggests that Adam and Eve were created specifically to live in the garden with God, where they would remain innocent and free from sin. However, once they sinned, they had to leave the garden and so began the downfall of man. Furthermore, when God banishes Cain for murdering Abel, Cain tells God that he is afraid that anyone who sees him will kill him. This is why God puts the mark of Cain on him, to protect him from anyone else he might come across. Another reference to an entire population of people already existing at this time. It is after Cain is banished that he finds his wife among the tribes of people he encountered and not out of thin air.

In Genesis chapter 1, on the the sixth day God made mankind. In chapter two, after an unmentioned amount of time since He rested on the seventh day, God made Adam and Eve. It's not a matter of the bible being wrong, but rather its Christian tradition that is wrong. God is the same as He was, is, and ever more shall be. If something was a sin, like incest, it always was a sin. He wouldn't make it so that the only way mankind could survive was to sin. That is against His nature. It's far more likely that a tradition of imperfect people is wrong, rather than a perfect God was acting against His nature and forcing people to sin. God is holy, holy, holy and can't tolerate sin or else He wouldn't be holy. That's why He sent Jesus to redeem us from our sin, so that we can be reconciled to Him. The sixth day humans were made so that Adam and Eve's children could have spouses. It explains where the people in the land of Nod came from. It explains what is meant by Genesis 6:2 when it says that "the sons of God (children of Adam) saw that the daughters of men (the sixth day humans) were beautiful and took them as their wives." It explains why the creation of the garden of Eden does not match the order of the creation story in chapter 1. It explains why fossil records and genetic records show that people sprung up all over Africa and other parts of the world and not specifically around Eden. God made Adam and Eve, even though He had already made people. Why? He wanted to create a family, a priesthood of people who love Him and want to be with Him. Read the bible for yourself and see if that matches up for you. Looking at things this way doesn't take away anything from the message of the bible, that we are sinners that need a Redeemer in order to be reunited with our perfect, holy, loving God. In fact, it clears out a lot of contradictions, reinforces His holy character, and shows His profound providence in all things. We have to be careful that our beliefs and traditions of beliefs aren't getting in the way of the truth of God's word. In fact, there are no contradictions in the bible, only puzzles designed to challenge our view points as fleshly, imperfect, sinful humans to try to see things from a spiritual, perfect, holy point of view. This is God's way of teaching us His truth. The Truth. This is part of our growth and sanctification process to becoming mature and complete, not lacking in anything. Praying that the person who needs to hear this gets to read it and start, or continue, their journey seeking God and that they find Him and are filled with the peace that His salvation brings and the joy and love that comes from having a Perfect Father. He lives. He breathes. He loves you and is waiting for you to choose Him. Please don't wait too long to decide. Time is coming to an end very soon.

But when one looks at it with sound logic, he will find that there are numerous anomalies. When one peers into the reality of this book, you can't help but see that the present books were selected with a good deal of bias. But when we look beyond the conventional way of thinking, we can see that there are numerous problems in this book that should prevent one in believing in it. However, if you are just spring loaded to just defend this book, you will be inhibited from seeing this. The truth here is this: The writings selected for the bible were done on extreme bias.

Finally, the Bible as led by the Holy Spirit, has to trace the signs of life. The beginnings of redemption. In that vein, the only part that was worth capturing in the story of that first family was the difference between the choices of life between Cain and Abel. Abel, surprisingly had the element in him to be able to find that door to hope. While Cain was helplessly trapped by the world and the temporary benefits of it that lead only to farther darkness, Abel was able to latch on to 'tending lambs,' an indication of platonic love within him, and therefore, the ability to offer the Lord the kind of sacrifice that pleased Him - the inward parts of the lambs. Those lambs probably followed Abel around everywhere because he tended them and looked out for them, therefore they loved him. God looks at the hearts of men and it probably goes without saying and also the hearts of animals. And what He saw in the case of Abel was pleasing, to a God who is love Himself.
But in Cain he saw only jealousy, competition, self absorption, envy and the like because he was competing for worldly things, the fruit of the ground,' - there was nothing pleasing to God in that.
And so if God smiled at Abel and he prospered more, that could only make Cain even more mad since what he was doing wasn't blessed!
Even in that first family, we are already being taught the paths we choose in life. Which one leads to eternal life (Abel's path) and which one leads to death of the soul (Cain's choice) Jesus Christ's lesson on the fruits of the flesh are apparent, they are greed, jealousy. Envy, lasciviousness, etc. Abel had chosen the fruits of the Spirit. And therefore the path that leads to life.
This differentiation was the only light in the dark tunnel of life that had befallen the first family, and therefore the only story that was worth mentioning in the Bible, which is an anthology of life and our redemption from the hold of the world that leads to death. I can understand why this is all that was mentioned in the Bible, because the aim of the Bible is to find us, to seek us and find us and bring us back to God, by influencing our life choices. The rest of what was going on in that family was chaff, to be blown away by the wind!

And this is why I cannot believe that God loves Women. The Misogyny of the Abrahamic beliefs are absolutely shocking. I am not subject to a man. We are completely equal in every way. An excuse to subjugate and harm Women for thousands of years.

as i (mis)remember, in _Inherit the Wind_, a character wonders where Cain's wife came from, paraphrased here: "Was someone pulling off another creation somewhere else?"

Cain was a twin to his sister. Able was a twin to his sister too.

No when you read the Bible carefully using a strong's concordance you will know that "ADAM" is a race. Not just ONE man. Sometimes Adam referred to the race. Sometimes just Adam as one person. You need a strong's concordance to look up the numbers. Hebrew is a lot different from English. They have about 1-6 or more definitions for one word. Like beguiled in Genesis meant seduced. It doesn't mean just "deceive".
