I often wonder if the third of the angels have regret or remorse after they rebelled and were cast out. Imagine already being in Heaven so close to God, yet being fooled into turning on your creator. I can't imagine. What could he have said to the other angels?

It is a good question, but I don't think they do. I think when they made that decision their conscience became corrupted. You know how God "gives someone over" to a sin they've chosen? And how He hardens hearts that have turned against Him? I think these angels are given over to evil and it would no longer cross their minds to repent.

Then verse 10: Therefore thus saith the lord God; because thou hast lifted up thyself in height, and he hath shot up his top among the thick boughs, and his heart is lifted up in his height.
So I wonder if his heart was lifted up only after he realized that the other angels envied him, making him feel prideful. It seems when he was envied by the other angels he was still in his perfect state which is why they envied him( his perfection).

I don't recall any other angel being described this way, I do believe Lucifer had a higher rank then the rest, nearing perfection more then the others. It does say in the garden of God, so it was happing here in the physical realm on earth where it's corrupt. And I suppose these aren't redeemed creatures having incorruptible bodies and minds that won't be deceived like humans will once resurrected.

Doesn’t it sometimes seem like the Devil was only trying to free people and other angels from being under Gods full control? Could he may be misunderstood? If the angels were jealous because God cared more about the humans than them then as a merciful father wouldn’t he just show them more love, approach them with love and understanding, instead of immediately going for harsh generational punishment? Maybe if God approached the devil, told him he loved him, and wanted to make peace rather than go to war and cast them to hell for eternal punishment maybe evil could be eradicated and we wouldn’t all still be suffering.

@Kim Haggarty, friend, there are various translations of the Bible to make some of the more "confusing" scriptures more easily understandable. There are also various commentaries which help with the context of scriptures so readers can have a better understanding of who is speaking, who is being spoken to whilst offering interpretation of what's being said. There are also audio resources available for those who may have difficulty with reading/vision etc. No doubt God ensures His Word is out there for the world to read/hear & understand for those who are capable of understanding. There are clearly humans with disabilities/genetic diseases who are incapable of understanding. No doubt they, like infants who pass are lovingly welcomed into the holy presence of God.

This is a fairly good historical rundown of the history of Lucifer, but it doesn't exactly answer the question of where his first desire of sin came from.

I agree, I can't imagine how he feels to be separated from the assured love of the father. I have hope and faith, and have felt and do feel that love every day. The elephant in the room nobody wants to acknowledge is this. God is perfect, yet he made an angel who rebelled and fell to desire. An angel with a defect. If that’s perfection. I’d hate to see what imperfection looks like.
I just want to know why HE made all us just for us to die. Why make satan to begin with? All this just confusing to me? Not mocking GOD, I just want to understand.
@@Prettyrissa Lucifer was apparently God's first angel. Think about it if you made an exact version of yourself. Only that new version became corrupted and tried to emulate you completely. Even through forceful means. That is Lucifer in nutshell. According to the book of Genesis. The reason we can die and age is because of the first sin. We took from the tree of knowledge of good and evil (likely a gigantic metaphor meant to represent something more complex). This was against God's command. We could have had anything in the infinite garden except THAT one "tree". I personally don't think it's a tree literally. I think it is allegory. There is so much allegory in the bible that narrow minded people take literally. And the angels expelled humanity and prevented us from taking from the tree of life (possibly immortality). So we might die because we never took the knowledge of immortality before being expelled. My simple take on it.

@@Prettyrissa He did not make us to die. He made us to live. Father loves us and wants us to love Him in return. In order for that He gave us freewill. After the rebellion in heaven, Father created this, the second age, as a test for all. All to be born of flesh, with no recollection of who/what we were or did in the first age. Even He came down to teach us. Jesus said, "If you have seen me, you have seen the Father." This age is to see if you will choose Father or Satan.
In Eden, Satan seduced Eve and Adam and tried to corrupt the plan. He failed.
Soon Satan will arrive pretending to be Jesus the Christ. But he is the false Christ. At the last trump the real Christ will return and we will no longer be in flesh bodies. So don't be fooled.
Satan's rebelling angels refused to be born in the flesh and so are already condemned.
One of his highest that fell so low. To have no chance for forgiveness after standing in God’s presence likely only fueled Lucifer’s wrath.
