    Make sure to check your Tank G and watch the first video in the description for repair info. And what are your thoughts on where Boss is with their attention to things other than the new Katana Amps? Are they overcompensating? Under?

    Hey Man! Thanks for mentioning me in this video. M-Vave has already corrected the battery issue and the unit now have foam tape to the board.
    Great video as ever!
    Cheers!!

      You’re welcome and thanks for all your work! It’s good they know and are dealing with it. M-Vave has been knocking it out of the park, lately!

    My Tank G is well protected.
    The pins have been removed and a thick adhesive strip has been provided so that the battery cannot be damaged.

      @@DoubleDguitar Yes, it arrived like this with a logo in the front. I think it's version 2. I've only had it for 2 weeks.
      Luckily they solved the problem! Thanks in part to videos like yours!

    Well, for starters, they don't care if it bursts into flame.

    I ordered my Boss Katana Go along with the carry pouch through Sweetwater on 3/28/24. I just received notification that the Boss Katana Go shipped today on 5/22/24. The pouch is still on backorder.

    Thanks to your good advice, Double, I opened up my Tank-G today to check it out for safety. In my case, I found an applied small rubber rectangle with the 3M logo on it directly above the battery. To me, it looks as though the M-Vave Corp. or whatever has tried to address the known problem. (At least in my case.) Best for others to open up their units and check them .

    Hey brother my tank G finally arrived and wow. My phone recognizes it as version 2 in bluetooth connect. dialed in a couple of presets a fender clean and EVH 51503 6L6 loaded and holy dogshit batman it's fucking killer!! I actually feels like a real amp to me, the EVH clone sounds and feels amazing and i'm just plugged into a tube speaker and a harley benton fusion T that i just got and OMG! thanks for your vids brother, happy rockin! P.s. unfoftunately my tank G does not have a mesa dual rec so im gonna have to check out how to load some amps into my pedal.

    I wanted one of these, is there any way they can hear the love for this product and fix it, it can't be hard to put a shield in there, or fix that danger?

    • @DoubleDguitar
      @DoubleDguitar  Před 3 měsíci +1

      The new ones are good to go with no need to repair. If you buy one, I’m certain you will get one that is not this earlier version. MVave is aware and had the issue fixed after batch one.

    Man- this is off topic but- has anyone else had issues with the Classic Vibe 70s model Strat and the input jack and pots? I didn't have mine even a few months and the volume pot started cutting out if you turn it or tap it while playing. I tried cleaning the pot with some contact cleaner but- didn't work. I think something got down in the contacts- there was saw dust or something all in the cavities of the guitar when I took off the pick guard. And the input jack kept loosening on me- over and over- I would tighten it, within a week it would be loose again- and it finally tore the ground loose from the input jack. I'm going to replace the pots, switch, and input jack with CTS pots and a switch craft jack. I think the switch is a Grisby- I bought the whole assembly online, it's solderless. Really sux though to have to do that to guitar that's only about a year old.

    • @DoubleDguitar
      @DoubleDguitar  Před 3 měsíci

      That is a pretty common problem that can happen with input jacks that aren’t tightened down enough from the factory. You may not realize you are turning the inside wiring when trying to tighten the nut outside. There is a tool that will do that, but it’s expensive. Think you should be good with the new set up. Let me know how that brand works out. Sounds good.

    • @stoneysdead689
      @stoneysdead689 Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@DoubleDguitar Yeah- I tried not to twist the wiring inside- I would take the input jack plate off and hold the jack as I tightened it- but even that over time eventually tore the ground loose. I kept saying I was going to get some of the blue Loctite- just never did it. Lesson learned- the hard way unfortunately. It's probably for the best though- this guitar always had a grounding issue- now I know what it was, the ground was never fastened to the input jack very well. It caused it to hum excessively when you weren't touching the strings.

      @@stoneysdead689 I’m glad you got it figured out. That is always frustrating.

    • @fallenshallrise
      @fallenshallrise Před 3 měsíci +1

      I can’t explain it but my strat has the same problem. The volume pot will cut out and need to be re soldered from time to time while other styles of guitars I play as much or more will be fine for decades. I can’t explain it but have had the same experience.
