@@Derrickkhroun14 you can’t really replace the mod or delay effects, but you can make the preamp section a drive pedal! And having the two stacked means I can run one with drive and the other with amps.

@@Derrickkhroun14 right on, this one can get a little confusing. I have captured a bunch of drive pedals and preamp style pedals and sounds. Check the Google link in the description. To use one as a drive, replace the one in a slot you may not like the sound of. You can always restore it to the factory one, in the software. Start with the M-EFCS software and look for my tweaked files. The software is pretty good about showing you the things you need to do.

I tried Mooer, Valeton, NUX, Line 6. I like these more. Easier to use, less tweaking, good default tones, 4 switches for live mode (always my preference), but can still do 4 presets as well if you want to.

@@DoubleDguitarYep. The NUX and Mooer stuff was a lot more complicated for a worse tone. I use my Zoom Multistomp over those. Everything being battery powered is really cool.
One more question my friend, if I may: You mention you can have two Tank Gs: one holding your captured pedals, the other holding the amp presets. Can you perhaps do a video if you took Tank G to an actual gig, then what would you take? only one Tank G? two of them? also the chocolate? What presets and drive captures will you take with you and how you'll organize them to give yourself the "widest" options in a comfortable way that you can play live? If you can do that - it will be SO GREAT. Thank you !!!!
@@shalomshalom735 hey buddy, I would if my band was still together. I have been in a bunch and my latest just split to form a couple of other bands. If I too the two, I would for sure use the chocolate. And probably add a wah/volume pedal.
greetings from Scotland, i have a tank g and have spent the last week making my own captures from .nam files, i have discovered that if you use the nam .wav reference file which is longer and more varied than the ori.wav file, the profiles are much better and require only around 400 passes to achieve a low variance, thought i wouls pass this information along to the community. cheers Neil
@@clintwhite3021 I haven’t really done any testing of actual signal latency, my only real issue is the mild audio drop when changes are made to patches or effects. I would think this is not much more than 5-8 ms for the signal path. I really don’t feel any when playing, even with a little wireless dongle.

@@gammat.c.4916 hey man, once you download it and put it in the tank with the m-efcs software, it should get you the preamp sound described. Make sure to turn on the cabinet IR if you are using it as a preamp!
Hey D you done or plan to do a video on the M- Vave Blackbox? I like it better than the Tank -G. It doesnt have the xlr out but it has compression and its $4 cheaper! Just wondering?

Hey, I wanted to ask you: Do you have the M-Vave midi controller (they call it: "Chocolate")? Can program it so that one button will go up/down banks, second button will toggle on/off the tank-g modulation, third button will toggle on/off the Tank G delay, etc.. ?? If so, any chance you can do a video on this and show how you program the chocolate to do that?

@@gelroa2421 that is a preamp captured from the Boss IR-2 unit. But I turned the cabinet off at the master point in the software of the Boss unit when I did the captures.
I play saxophone, is there a way I can get sounds of other acoustic instrument like the ones in Zoom A1X Four pedal. example playing alto sax and producing the sound of harmonica, organ, clarinet, oboe etc

This works more with traditional effects and amp sounds and doesn’t have the midi type of conversion you would be looking for. It sounds like you want to look into a midi set up, but I’m not certain about a good instrument interface to suggest.
Hi, just dowloaded and install latest M-EFCS v1.23 (said 1.22 on mvave website), and i can import AM2 files directly in M-EFCS (that is improved in 1.23). I understand that you can use ANN to tweak? NAM makes realy good captures, did you try to use the NAM wave file to capture? I can't find high quality captures from real pre-amps, do you know where i can find some?
@@alecse5478 hey man, unfortunately you have to use their ANN software to capture and convert. I have not tried to capture much more than some ToneX preamps out of the “One” pedal and some from the Boss IR2, with cabs off on all.
@@DoubleDguitar I downloaded .am2 files and import directly in M-EFCS. i don't understand what .AM2data bring. I hope we could find high quality preamps in the future cause blackbox use same models
@@alecse5478 the ones called “data” have usually been tweaked out in ANN and then exported. The am2 only file is the direct capture with no tweaks to it at all.
@@canadianguitar-garrettont7368 you have to use the M-EFCS software. If you really want to pre-tweak, use the ANN software on the am2 files. But full presets can be done thru M-EFCS.

@@canadianguitar-garrettont7368 hmm that is strange. First, try another cable. You may be using a USB power only cable. They have data versions and power versions, I learned this while wording some arcade cabs. If that doesn’t work, I would reach out to either Playwell or mvave and see if they have any tips beyond that.
@@bradleyclosson5042 to capture stuff, you need a computer. But you can easily use Android with the M-EFCS app for the Tank and transfer my files over, add IR cabs, and tweak and save all the presets.
@@Bjx-is8sq they do not have a comp slot or effect, but it is possible to set up your comp the way you like it and capture it. Once captured, you wouldn’t be able to adjust the ratio, or actual comp level, but you could adjust gain according to the capture print. And of course adjust the level and three bands of tweakable eq. So, it is possible. I have not captured a comp yet, since there are so many variables for a persons taste. But you could use a comp pedal before it and just dial in a nice tone at the amp and ir spots, then add effects from the tank to taste.

I have the cube baby and the tank G. I really like both of them. Great budget modeler pedals. No need to get a line 6.

how do you get the files on the tank g from the computer. i have some presets i want to put on mine
