Yeah sure! You can apply on university website. Check what is the deadline for the university and minimum requirements like IELTS or GRE scores. If you meet all the requirements then you can apply. I am pretty sure if you have got the reply you'll get an admit. But don't rely on only one professor. Apply to other universities as well!

I will say contact to any professor of that department and show them interest in any american universities. And tell them about your problem. I have my elder sibling, senior, who got into yale university for phd in molecular biology and ig she dosent have much research paper publish. So it's definable possible.
Just email them. That's it. Best of luck! Show them that you are interested in their research and write amazing SOPs, and most important what you will contribute to their research and community.

You can do some internships, attend conferences and seminars... Also try to publish atleast one review or research article

No compulsory. But it's recommended because it will eventually enhance your CV.

If you have done bsc from any normal colleges it doesn't matter but you must have to do MSc from top institute like IIT because you can directly get admission in abroad if you have completed MSc in IIT 👍
@@AndhaPaisa00 I've seen many people who did their MSc from IITs but they didn't get admission directly, they gave gre, IELTS, apply for University and then they get the admission.
