6.5 is good but more is always better as English is key to writing and speaking for the PhD in Australia. Admission phd has more to do with technical credentials and marks or grades. Any papers help a lot! These videos may help.

Heyy did you search for supervisors initially and contacted them? I am also trying ti get a supervisor but they bever reply 😢 and this is required before i officially apply for a phd at a University

Good to see you are doing the masters degree after industry experience. The easiest thing for you would be get a job at a better rank at a company which uses your civil engineering knowledge. You may get principal engineer or management jobs at this stage. Corporate jobs will give you credit for both your work experience and your new degree.

You can find the universities you want to go to through Google and Google scholar. Then you can check on admissions and scholarships information on their web page and apply. You can go to the department web page and check out the different areas where research is taking place.

No it is not compulsory but journal papers always help a case. Even a conference paper is nice to have

But I wanted to presue my phd from Austrilia.
Can my master degree for phd will be valid in austrilia because it is not a regular basis but a open course.
As long as you have a degree given by an accredited body of the government you can apply for PhD. Giving admission and scholarships is always somewhat of a game of chance. You may also want to consider less competitive universities and countries for higher chances.

It is often better to have an idea about which professor you want to work with. If a professor is interested in the student and his background he can often help him in the fellowship application or give a project based scholarship in the lab. This video may help

If your credentials are excellent you may get a scholarship. Another approach is to send emails to professors in your area and ask if you can do research with them to contribute to their lab. If they like your CV and past records they may point you towards scholarships from the university or make room for you in one of their funded projects. What about bank statement and IELTS test is it compulsory for this scholarship??
IELTS is required for international students. This video may help you prepare. I think a 6.5 or higher score is needed to just manage with the academic expectations of the anglosphere. Bank statements are needed for most visas along with many other documents. If you get a scholarship you don’t need to show much money in the bank though.

I would say most of your time would be spent in doing research once you have completed any needed coursework. You can apply in the final year of the masters degree program and one year before the admission semester.

@@agungkp9579 I think the professor and university have to decide if they want to nominate you for the scholarship. It is best you clarify these issues by email to the university admission office and the professor. Scholarships are often competitive but there is a finite probability of getting them if one has a good application

It should be possible but visa officer will decide. There may be an issue that can the scholarship cover the cost of living in Australia for a family which is quite high. Single people can live in hostels and rent one room or share a room.
