Hi friends! Another Chanel makeup review is here! In this video I will be reviewing the newly reformulated Chanel Ombre Essentielle Longwear Single Eyeshadows. I have four of the shades in all three finishes that I will be swatching, demoing, and comparing with other luxury eyeshadows in my collection. The shades I will be reviewing are: blanc pearl, jade facette, brun talpa, and lilas poudre.

These are so pretty! The Blanc Perle reminds me of the smooth Divine Rose special shade that’s pink (last one in the top row.) The green reminds me a limited edition Bobbi Brown luxe single I got last year called Cosmic.
I know I’ll try one or two of these eventually when there is a shade that will be unique to me. I’m so glad they are permanent.

The Jade Facette and Lilas Poudre look absolutely stunning on brown eyes!! I can definitely see this on hazel or possibly green eyes. It is so fun to see Chanel, Dior, Tom Ford, Addiction Tokyo, & others coming out with these gorgeous Mermaid shades. The Blanc Pearl adds great highlight and multi-dimensional look. I'm still a bit intimidated with the colors for blue eyes, though! ❤

Chantecaille has a single color in Cheetah and it is cream but it has sparkle. It’s very beautiful.

I was trying on Delices last night to see if I wanted to pick up that Dior Pastel Glow on sale, and it seems that these singles are a different formula than the Chanel palettes. It seems you are getting the look from these that we all wanted from Pastel Glow. Although the Blanc Pearl is my favorite. But I prefer palettes. I never use the singles I have. Love the look but I can dupe all of these with products in my collection. Chanel and Dior are losing me right now. So I'll be curious about what they launch next. Thanks for the video.💚
These singles are definitely more pigmented and buildable then both the Pastel Glow and the regular Chanel palettes

Braun Talpa reminds me of beige mitza my favourite single eyeshadow from dior. The best one and done.

I just bought the Jade Facette and realized it’s 90% similar to the Chantecaille butterfly eye quartet green color that I own. But I still really like it. The Chanel one is a bit more minty and the Chantecaille one has more brown/purple shift to it.

I like the Brun Talpa of course 🤣🤣🤣 I have the Viseart Lilas that I’m loving for a silvery taupe nude seems similars lol
I went into Saks thinking I was going to pick up the peachy pink shade but wow, way too coral, dry and pigmented. So I ended up getting the Jade Facette and the Brun Talpa. The Talpa looks really good when paired with the new Bobbi Brown eyeliner stick in Rich Chocolate .

I just bought the blanc pearl and the jade facette yesterday. I had the same reaction as you did. I liked the brun talpa but knew I had alot of something similar and I have spent the spring buying lilac eyeshadows. I definitely didn't need another one.
Thanks for sharing and really love the last part of video where you covered your arm with the similar shades from other palates. I think I may get the Brun Talpa cos I love the chanel Tweed limited edition palate and so sad it's running low and I'm just wondering what to replace it with. Thanks for comparing it! ❤❤
The lilac is very pretty! 💜 That is the one I will pick up. I don't think I have a matte light purple in my collection.
That pearl shade looks exactly like a highlighter I have from Pat McGrath iridescent pink sublime skin highlighting trio… so pretty!!!!

I got all the colors you showed and the grey Paris and metallic red. I ordered the Victoria Beckham sea foam liner just to pair with the green shadow! I’m excited to try it when they all arrive!

I did my eyes along with this video using the Viseart Violette Entendu for lilac and sea foam. I have a sparkly white in the ND Xenon palette. Also, CT Eyes to Mesmorize Chocolate Bronze looks like a match to the taupe shade. I like to top that with Smoke from Hourglass. (I also have a single lilac from Mac. They have a full rainbow of quality singles.)
I’m a “light summer” with blue-grey eyes and the lilac colors look great as they are in my palette and are cool….I can’t find them online yet so will keep searching and set reminder, thanks!
Thanks for the great video. The colors are very nice. I experimented a little trying to get a lilac color - I mixed 2 colors from Victoria Beckham - this pink and the new blue - it turned out a nice lilac, but lighter than Chanel
VIEVE just came out with a beautiful lilac eyeshadow stick that looks like the Chanel lilac color. I purchased it and it’s gorgeous.
Blanc perle reminds me of PMG shade iridescent pink in mothership divine rose palette. PMG has more of a punch but I have used that shade all over the eyes and the pink shift is beautiful. I went with Jade facette as it’s shimmery and very unique nothing like it in my collection and I know being Chanel it’s going to be elegant. Brun Talpa was too close to beige mitzah for me and I prefer Dior. Thanks for a thorough video Sofia.

Talpa has been my go-to one and done shadow for a while. Super quick look with brown eyeliner and mascara. It’s also a great option for those last minute zoom calls where you need to be on camera! I typically stick with neutrals, but the lilac looks so pretty! Probably going to get that one to use for Spring/Summer.

Hi Sofia, I can see why you said the Dior mint is like an icy blue. When I swatched the Chanel Jade next to the Dior mint, the Dior mint looked like an icy blue to me, too. But on it's own, it looks mint green.
By the way, your demos are so helpful. There are times when I go back to the videos just to look at how you layer the colors and then they turn out great for me, too! 😊

@@SofiaSeesBeauty I just pulled mine out and it looks like Palladian might be similar but it’s more silvery and the Chanel has the golden shimmer. It actually might be more similar to Marlin if you apply Marlin more lightly. I just love green eyeshadow!!
I hadn’t planned on getting any of the new Chanel singles until I saw the swatches. Lol Now I’m thinking about getting Blanc Perle and Jade Facette. Both shades are ethereal and eye brightening, and are beautiful one and done colors, and the perfect accents for a pop of light on the lid and inner corner. I’m anxious for this collection to drop online on the Chanel website and in department stores!

PML Iridescent Pink 003 from the Divine Rose palette is a close dupe for Perle Blanc, but it doesn’t have as much twinkle (it’s meant to be a cheek highlight primarily).
He Sofia! How does the Chanel Brun Talpa compares with the RMS Eyelight Strobe? I Believe you have that one als well and I've got the feeling the colours look very much alike. Even though the formula is completly different, offcourse. Thx for the video!

I usually don't use anything I just use whatever concealer I am using for that day :) This time it was the Too Faced Muli-Use Sculpting Concealer!
Ah yes talpa for sure. I saw fauve in another review and i think those are the 2 il go for. I’m waiting to see if it comes to Nordstrom. Although the blanc perle😊 is so pretty I like how versatile it is.

I think I can almost recreate the last look with my ABH NOUVEAU palette, not exactly but similar. The pearl eyeshadow reminds me of the ND White/pink shifty shade from the pastel palette. But the slight green shift in the Chanel is very beautiful.

I bought blanc perle bc I'm tired of whipping out my pat mcgrath 7 divine rose palette for that stunning topper. I'm not sure it'll be as pigmented but I think it'll be easier to travel with that one shade instead of all ten! I am a die hard chanel fan, I buy pretty much every collection so this was exciting for me because it's so different and I wasn't into makeup when the other singles came out the first time.
I have bought all the same ones 😂 I have already started using them and I’m going to use them a lot to justify the price . I love them all !

I have to admit I'm dying for the Brun Talpa shade because I'm nuts for taupes and I wore the old single shade Talpa until it was well beyond its "best by" date.
The Blanc Perle looks unique but I would definitely have to swatch it to make sure it's worth the price.
The other two are an easy pass.

The brown satin in guerlain wild nudes is my brown talpa. It's a bit warm, and I love that mid tone shimmery brown :). Plus I have crease shade there , a liner brown if I wanted and a pink I can use as blush 😂

Not sure they are still available but Chanel had #10-Flesh- a satin finish in a nude with a hint of pale pink and #14-Talpa which seems to be the same as the Brun Talpa, also a satin. That has always been my one and done.
They are a bit over priced but I think I’m still getting the lilac one and now I’m convinced of the sea foam green one I was going to maybe get a brown neutral shade but I just remembered all the browns I have similar to these Chanel browns and tans in other small
Pallets that I need to use. also I want to get cashmere by Dior (single shadow) because it’s a different brown from what I have more warm undertone. I’m really into soft warm brown bronzers and eyeshadows now 😅🥰😍

What are you wearing underneath the shadow? It looks like you already have a shadow on the crease for all demos.
Also, what eye primer was used before shadow applications?
Is Brun Talpa the same as Talpa in the old formulation? It seems to me that Brun Talpa is darker?
I had a single from nabla in the past called atmosphere with the same look as jade facete also another one pink snow which looked like the blanc one. It's no longer available and that's a pity since their formula is great, even the sheer ones are creamy not hard packed and smooth. I would be interested in a comparison between the Blanc Pearl and the pink highlighter from dior line

Did I miss the green from this year’s Eclat de Nuit? RMS eye lights in Eclipse on a fluffy brush is another green option. ABH Nouveau palette has shade Wings for a powder.

Actually, you get twice as much product in the single shadow than the entire quad.
Happy Saturday! These singles are very pretty…I really like the Jade facette. I agree with you on your reasoning for buying singles. I have Talpa from the previous collection and it seems even more cool than the new release and minus the “Brun” in front of the name.
Your reasoning makes a ton of sense but it depends on what formula you like best and some customers like just one shade without having to commit to a palette. We all have that one shade that we pan first!
As beautiful the lilac looks, it’s just too much work for a one-and-done eyeshadow. Brun Talpa though seems so quick and easy to work with
