Though they weren't first, the best British rock bands planted their mark in the 1960s with catchy melodies, delicious hooks and music that influenced multiple generations of bands and music fans. Not to be outdone, every decade thereafter, famous English rock bands were mostly ahead of their contemporaries across the globe, bringing all variations of rock music to the masses. The most successful English bands remain staples on rock radio, and though some are old and over the hill, they manage to tour to arenas and stadiums all over the world.
Though it's certainly a difficult question to ask, this list tries to decide who are the best British rock bands. There are plenty of amazing British bands to pick from, with names like the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Clash, Oasis, Blur, and Queen, just to name some of the most famous ones. The thing that the best British rock bands have in common is that they're known all over the world for widely influencing a musical genre, and in some cases, creating their own musical genre. However, it's up to you to determine which of these top British rock bands is that best.

Def Leppard is surely worth more than 12 million. They sold millions of copies of Pyromania and Hysteria and always packed the arenas and stadiums. Plus they've toured with Kiss and Journey in recent years. It just seems like a small amount with their success of album and concert sales.
Update. Def Leppard's net worth is $200 million. Joe Elliott alone has a net worth of 75 million. I knew that was incorrect.

From my understanding the ones like Robert Plant, Annie Lennox, Sting, Paul McCartney, Ringo, George Harrison, John Lennon, Pete Townsend and many others (in case I missed any) are all worth a shit load by themselves alone and then they're worth what their band is worth too. These guys are ultimately rich as fuck. Amazing!!!
So many artists missing and some of these rankings seem very suspect to me. Where is Wham, The Bee Gees, Chris Rea, Spandau Ballet, Keane, Texas, Robbie Williams etc.

Your information is incorrect Def Leppard best moment was in the 80s with pyromania and hysteria records, each one of them selling more than 15 million copies each.. then adrenalize came out not as good and only selling like 6 millions.. look everywhere on the internet my friend and confirm what i am saying to you

Not sure how this was compiled, if you Google the net worth of Zeppelin, it’s estimated at $900 million. It’s highly unlikely that anyone other than the stones and the Beatles are worth more🤔

These figures are way off. After the Beatles, Led Zeppelin are the biggest selling band in history...moreso than Floyd, Queen, etc.

Sorry, but what is the method of calculation? On which basis these figures are published? The only serious source is the Forbes' ranking which gives the personal wealth of artists, among others, no matter if they were part of a band. (For instance, as composer and singer for both Beatles and Wings, Paul McCartney earned certainly more money than the only Beatles). For bands, the incomes are generally calculated on the records'sales and the concerts. The royalties are certainly the most difficult part to evaluate.
Obviously Def Leppard is worth more than 12M. And so is Happy Mondays more than 300K.
