The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy is one of the weirdest and most weird cartoons from our childhood growing up. Cartoon Network had the most interesting and funny cartoons and anime with creativity and weird stuff. Even Irwin is in the show along with the Grim Reaper. Today at Spilling The Milk we out here reacting and reviewing and reaction to this classic early 2000's cartoon that saberspark probably loves along with rebeltaxi and saltydkdan.

RE: Grimâs Jamaican accent, the actor originally gave him a Swedish accent due to the grim reaperâs mythical origins actually coming from Sweden, but it ended up sounding like a bad Jamaican accent. They decided to double down on it as a joke.
Whatâs funny too is that his mom had a New Jersey accent and his dad was played by Red from That 70âs Show.

Fun fact, Abraham Lincoln was *actually* jacked. He was apparently a great wrestler. They even put his name in the Wrestling Hall of Fame, although I think more symbolically than over anything concrete.

I doubt he was in the same shape he was as a kid but he was still a bigger guy (6'4'') and popular superstition is that he beat the wrestler in his youth by single-handedly choke-slamming him. And that was just sport, given him a real reason to be angry and he might have full Wookied a guy.
Obviously there's enough folklore around it that its suspect but it'd be an interesting alt-history.
Thereâs a story of him straight up yeeting another guy.

Jennifer Hale has been around for a long time. I think I first heard her in Metal Gear Solid as Naomi Hunter way back in the day and she also voiced Sam from Totally Spies. Her voice is very distinct so you can easily pick it out of a lot of cartoons and videogames.

Jennifer Hale voiced both Ms. Keane in both the 1999 original and the 2016 reboot of The Powerpuff Girls. Somehow, sheâs also the voice of Samus Aran in the Metroid Prime trilogy (no joke)!

Actually grim is voiced by an African American, and Jamaicans can tell the va is not a native Jamaican because of the overtly stereotypical accent. I know Iâve seen some Jamaicans take issue with non Jamaicans getting roles that are written as a Jamaican character.
But Grim wasnât written as a Jamaican character, he was supposed to have a Swedish accent as a reference to the seventh seal, but it ended up sounding like a bad Jamaican accent, so just added to the joke
This show was more ahead of It's time. It may not be perfect compared to Gravity falls and other "Mystery-Theme" Shows after this that wasn't Scooby Doo, but still had true terror of trauma with some toilet humour thrown It with the balance of not being token serious but time when It does mature on the other half.

Whatâs funny is that thereâs a fan comic called *Grim Tales* and itâs a continuation of this series in the future. Itâs actually interesting.

The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy is one of my favorite Cartoon Network show of the 2000s.
The show's plot is that Billy and Mandy (two white kids) OWN Grim. I don't think making his human form black would go over so well
The earliest episodes of Billy and Mandy are peak Billy and Mandy. They've always been fucked up without trying too hard or any kind swearing. Its also hard to believe Billy's Mom and Dad got used to Grim hanging around the house as the series progressed.
Keeper of the Reaper is where it began to fall off. Fred Fred Burger showed up in that episode where they're having a legal battle over Grim.
I love the canon that Billy's mom straight up has a mental breakdown, and the show just runs with it.

The only few things that didn't age well with this show are two things:
1. This show could be loud simply for no reason. They just have the characters shout just for the sake of it.
2. Gross out. It's more on the neutral side, to be fair, but it didn't really serve any purpose.
Otherwise, this show is really good. It has so many amazing moments of comedy and simple stories.
You guys should react to this other Canadian animated show: Braceface! You'll have a blast with some specific episodes đ

Billy and Mandy could be so great. There are episodes that are really spectacular, filled with homages and parodies without at all feeling like a parody cartoon but just Billy and Mandy antics. But most episodes land on better half of mid

I watched one of your videos and I thought it was hilarious, you guys are pushing the boundaries of what is acceptable nowadays for comedy and jokes reminds me of when I was young and people could actually say things without getting in trouble.. so I subscribed, started watching more of your videos but then this one here, it's not that anything was offensive, it's more along the lines of you guys just kind of aren't funny sometimes. I found you funny a few times you got to be more consistent otherwise if you just come off like people who get lucky with a good joke here and there
