The voice actor for Schnitzel, John DiMaggio, did an interview where he talked about voicing the character. They literally gave him an script FULL of rada radaâs and he was so annoyed because he told them just to put âsay rada rada a lotâ instead of every single rada rada. They never listened

What really confused me as a kid was that in the later episodes, Saviche's crush on Panini escalated to be just as creepy as hers for Chowder, but she didn't become self-aware. Like she expressed that she didnât like when he tried kissing her and confessed his love for her, but she never changed either. It was weird

As one of the earliest Cartoon Network shows I watched, this show is just too charming. I was VERY pleased when Cartoon Network posted a full episode on their CZcams channel last month for their 30th anniversary. The commitment in the art style, puppet shows, real life ingredients, and the meta jokes is still outstanding to see.
Probably one of the reasons you had such a Spongebob feel for this show is because the Producer of Chowder used to be a Storyboard Artist for Spongebob

Maybe itâs because Chowder is a great Cartoon Network, but now I want them to watch old CN shows like HiHi Puffy Amiyumi, Juniper Lee, Ed, Edd, n Eddy, and Flapjack
Omfg... I don't know the first two, but I remember Ed, Eddie, and Eddie, and flapjack. I was born in 2000, and grew up watching some of the good cartoons (not counting shows like power puff girls (ew, I found that so stupid) code name kids next door, teen titans, and courage the cowardly dog (way too weird for me, and there was one fucking episode that terrified me when I was little! I don't remember who the character was, what season, or episode, I just remember something about a slab and some one saying "return the slab or suffer the consequences". I fucking HATED that episode the most!), my brother liked those).
I loved chowder, Ed, Edd, and Eddie, flapjack was ok, code lyoko (it didn't age well, but I still like it beacuse I remember watching it with my brother), Tom and Jerry was ok I guess, and the gim adventures of billy and mandy. I need to rewatch some of these...

The kid named finger joke is timeless. It's funnier every time you pull it out. I always forget until the card is played.
I believe that writers of Chowder picked up a crazy homeless guy off the street and payed him with sandwiches to come up with the names of everything on the show. It would explain why the names of the people and food is so crazy.
All of the characters are named after actual food items, (panini, chowder, Schnitzel, etc.)
Not only did they bring someone in every week. Schnitzel is voiced by John Dimaggio, (Jake the dog, Bender the robot, Marcus fenix) who had to have been one of the most expensive voice actors on staff

This show was both funny and awesome to watch. The way they handled the texture on the clothing is what got me into the show from the start. I like how animated shows try something different with the animation. Similar to the Ed, Edd n Eddy and how the character lines are handled.
