Hiram, Mike here. I've learned so much from your videos. I found your channel a year ago. And subscribed since then. This last video was a great informational one on vacuum testing that I needed. Great job, keep them coming.
Extremely interesting testing set up there, thanks so much for exposing it to us. So nice to have Hiram posting videos again, I know I'm in for a real treat when I see a new one waiting for me. I would have found this career very rewarding.
Sr. buen video saludos debería subirlo también en español hay mucha raza que lo sigue ojalá siga por mucho tiempo ofreciendo su conocimiento para otros🙏
Hello Mr. Gutierrez! Since you are a true and rare professional I wonder if you can give an opinion. I have a U660F Toyota transmission that have some issues. It doesn't show any code yet. When shifting from 2 to 3 the engine revs high on his own. Also, from 3 to 2 it's a little hursh. I changed the fluid and 2 to 3 it's a little better but 3 to 2 it's a little worse. I mesured resistance on solenoids and it's ok. After the engine warms up the problems it is almost unnoticeble. What do you recomand?
The bonded pistons wear on these units. You may end up doing a rebuild on this one. But I strongly recommend installing all new bonded pistons. They leak. And that's probably what it's going on with your unit now. It will get worse before it will get better.
why not take a piece of plexy glass and make a pump plate for it and drill holes where you need them, would make testing easy and you do enough of them to justify an hour to make it.... Just just a thought
@7:23 I hear ya. Trying to remember what all will and won't interchange is a royal pain, and if you miss some minor detail about what you have to do to make the interchange work, odds are you gotta do a crap-ton of work, and pull it back out to fix it. Another thing I've always wondered about regarding that is , people who do interchange stuff like that a lot, where do they find the physical space to keep all those parts? I'm surprised that the TV show "Hoarding Buried Alive" ain't came and did an episode of one of those people.
Yeah, I hear you. I usually get the right part for the job. How small we are we can't stock pile parts. So that TV show will will pass right by our shop.
Hiram, great video. We're looking to get set up for vacuum testing at out shop, and I'm wondering what vacuum pump your using, and any other suggests on where to buy test plates and kits, etc. I've seen most everything we need is sold by sonnax, is that where you've bought most of your set up? Thanks in advance for any input!

appreciate your videos Hiram I was hoping you could tell me where is a good place to learn about each transmission like where the check balls go and function each accumulator performs, obviously I learn a ton from your videos but if I want to study and understand the function of a transmission where should I look?? thanks a million for sharing everything you know.
Hi Hiram i love your videos, great job! I have an issue with an 2001 Daewoo leganza Zf 4hp14 gearbox. When the car is cold the gearbox shifts ok, but past 10 min or so, when it reach opperation temperature, the transmission starts to slipping and the car doesnt move. What could it be the problem? Thanks in advance.
It's a chromebook, it does not have a normal hard drive but a solid state 15 or 30 gig drive, cant remember. Great for surfing the net and and using all google products, like docs, sheets, etc. When you buy one of this you'll get 100 gigs on the cloud. This one is very old, about 3 or more years old. And it seems like it will keep on going. Updates regularly and it's very safe. Not bad for less than 300 dollars. Not sure how much are they now but I bet you can find them cheaper and better now.
Mr Gutierrez I have a 09g transmission that does not change gears (stuck in 3rd) after seeing your video im interested in sending the valve body to you to rebuild. Would like to know if i can mail and pay you via deposit or paypal

Excellent, to the point, straight forward, no BS. Way to go Bro!!!
Doesn't the transmission FLUID (since it cannot be compressed) help to compensate for bore/land wear?
