Surely you know this is all staged, ya? They already had cameras set up amongst the military as the cars rolled in.
Any time you see a shot from outside the car, that means the shoot has been prearranged.
They do such a good job of making you suspend your disbelief. When I first watched this I almost suspected they may have stumbled on this. Then realized there were a lot of drone shots

I did think it was so odd the military wouldn't question some random 3 cars coming in with !!cameras!!, odd for sure.

I still can't believe how they managed to get a permission to shot a episode in a NATO Submarine base.
Olavsvern naval base was closed in 2009 and sold by the norwegian government in 2013, privately owned today and is used by both civillians and government, but they have a longterm deal with the government and nato.

I heard Hammond say back when this special was about to release that they had already finished filming another special. Seeing as it's already been about three months since A Scandi Flick came out, the other one should be ready. But knowing these guys we probably won't see it until summer next year after May's next "Our Man In ... " and Clarkson's "Clarkson's Farm."

I would like to ask a question whether The Grand Tour is planning to shoot an episode dedicated to cars in the war (for example, in Ukraine)? I think it would be a very interesting plot for today. I am a soldier of the Ukrainian army and since February 24, 2022 I have been protecting Ukraine from the attack of the Russian army. There are a lot of interesting ideas, because cars helped us a lot in the war, If necessary, we would share our ideas, stories and interesting facts that happened to us and cars in this war. For example, it is an interesting fact that cars produced in 1990 - 2000 turned out to be much stronger than those produced in 2000 - 2020. Many cars were given to us as voluntary assistance from ordinary citizens of Great Britain, the European Union and the United States. We are sincerely grateful to them for their help, if it were not for you and the leadership of your countries, it would be very difficult for us to resist Russian aggression. I don't know where to send the letter to the editors of The Grand Tour, so I'm writing it here. If anyone is able to forward this letter to the editors of The Grand Tour, please do so. I know an episode idea that would probably get a lot of fun reactions especially from Jeremy. An episode dedicated to finding the best electric car. And as we know, Jeremy doesn’t like electric cars. So this episode would basically be his version of hell. I really think they should do that. I would love to see these guys driving things like, one of them in some version of a Tesla. One of them in the electric car from BMW and then another one could be in I don’t know one of those new electric trucks.
