This is a video about buying a 1994 C4 Corvette. I bought the cheapest 6spd corvette on market place. We see if we can bring this 1994 Corvette Convertible back to its glory.
Great looking car! I have a '93 with the targa top and 57k original miles/engine. I've repaired the high beam switch and right turn signal piece on the lever, replaced the auto idle adjust valve, replaced all the rubber stripping. I need to do a little leather seat repair. Was going to sell but I think I've changed my mind.
You're lucky you bought a C4 , and not a newer Vette. At least changing the throwing bearing is very easy and straight forward. You don't have to take the rear end out of the car, and rebuild the torque tube too. Where are you based ? If you are near South Eastern New England, I could help you. If you really want to make your C4 rip, the easiest way to make it jump off the line, is to change your rear end gears when you change the clutch, pressure plate, and through out bearing. You mentioned your 350 is only turning 1,000 RPM at 65 mph or more. The inside of your console lid has the list of RPO codes / build sheet for your car. Your car sounds like it has 2: ?? gears in it. If you changed to 3:73 rear end gears, you would be still be cruising on the highway economically, but it would rip in the 1/4 mile. Your car, with a standard transmission, more than likely has a Dana 44 rear end. Nice Corvette !!! Looking forward to new videos. Take care
The C4 Corvette doesn't have struts and shocks. That C4s have fiberglass leaf springs, one in the front and one in the rear that are crossway mounted like what you would find on a Ford Model A.

I can say from experience...when you buy something from some one..they forget tell you things...on purpose. !!!!!
Not as much of pain as a c5 , c6 ,c7 , good time for clutch any way , who knows how it was driven ?

No struts on a Vette, coil overs non existing, original shocks the best.
