    I need to stop watching your product reviews. You're the one who got me into bullet journaling last year (and yes I eventually bought the whole set of tombow brush pens and the Faber castell PITT artist pens based on your reviews/raving about them... rightfully so)...and have now just spent more money. Thanks, Kara! 😂

    Tombow had a sale today so I picked up 3 of the pastel packs--one for me, my mom (a teacher), and then one as a graduation gift for a friend who is going to be a teacher very soon! Exciting. I feel like these will be next level papermate flair felt tip pens and I am suuuuper excited for that!

    What a wonderful review! I found that the plastic encasing the felt tip to be the best feature. The Zig Clean Color Dual tip Waterbase markers are literally exactly same thing...if you try you'll love em' too! They have the 1.2mm on one end the 0.5mm on the other end. Either way THANK YOU for your time...and if you can please pan down a bit more? It was a bit hard to see what you were lettering out....Laura😊

    Thanks for this video Kara! I'm so excited to try them. A couple questions first. How did the pens hold up to smearing? I'm right handed but how I hold my hand tends to smear almost all inks. I love the fineliners but always smeared them. Also, for your weekly spread you showed us at the end, which markers did you use? I couldn't quite catch what you said.

    great video !!! I'm glad you mentioned the flattening because I love Faber Castell pens too but i hate how flat all of mine get so quickly. I wish the Tombow drawing pens were archival like the faber castell. I wouldn't use any other pen if they were !!

  • @spinni81
    @spinni81 Před 7 lety +1

    I might check out the Mono Drawing Pen if I can find them here. I switched from Faber Castell PITT Artist because of their non-existing durability (but I love the ink). Staedtler's Pigment Liner holding up a bit better but they are more expensive. Right now I'm using Uniball eye micro (not a felt tip), they are great (durable, waterproof ink, same price as Faber Castell, but need a bit more drying time) for writing and drawing.

    My twin tone pens that I have from tombow I've bought one by one and they have a code for what color above the bar code. Does yours not have a bar code? It's quite small but for example my teal tombow twin tone is a ws-tp 44 and my other colors have a different code in the same spot.

    • @Bohoberryshop
      @Bohoberryshop  Před 7 lety +1

      Boho Berry I'm in Asia and they sell them almost exclusively individually. They do have the packs but it's always just one in stock that I've seen and only the biggest bookstore I've seen has it whereas the individual ones are everywhere. If CZcams would let me take pics I'd show you but 😑

    Would it be fair to say that the two different tips on the new Tombows are comparable to, and could possibly replace, the Staedtler triplus fineliners and the Paper Mate Flair pens? Thanks for the review Kara.

    • @Bohoberryshop

    How do they fair in comparison with the Tombow Playcolour2 series??? The Play Colour 2 was my favourite series when I was studying (even before I knew about Tombow and before I started practicing brush calligraphy)! XD They seem really similar from the looks of it, but if its a newer series and improved version I would definitely want to try them out too! :D Although Tombow supplies are really slow and hard to get in Singapore >_<
    Oh! And unlike my Tombow Dual Brush Pens, my Playcolour2 has number codes right above the barcode. Not very noticeable like the Tombow, but you can try looking around the barcode?

    • @Bohoberryshop
      @Bohoberryshop  Před 7 lety +1

      I've never tried the Play Colors... unfortunately these don't have barcodes on the pens at all. I'm assuming since they're only sold as a set and not individual pens.

      Madame Traffic Jam I just checked, and the Tombows are $2.89 each. I usually find the PITT Artist Pens for just under $5.00. So that's a significant difference! Of course, I don't have to pay shipping, and I use a Hobby Lobby coupon, so it probably evens out for me. But just comparing actual cost, the Tombows are cheaper - which really surprised me!

      The Faber-Castell pens are just under $5 a piece typically and the Tombows are just under $3 :)
